An animal theme park, also known as a zoological theme park, is a combination of an amusement park and a zoo, mainly for entertainment, amusement, and commercial purposes. Many animal theme parks combine classic theme park elements, such as themed entertainment and amusement rides, with classic zoo elements such as live animals confined within enclosures for display. Many times, live animals are utilized and featured as part of amusement rides and attractions found at animal theme parks.
Two examples of animal theme parks are Disney's Animal Kingdom in Orlando, Florida (580 acres or 2.3 square kilometres) and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay in Tampa, Florida (335 acres or 1.36 square kilometres). These commercial parks are similar to open-range zoos and safari parks according to size, but different in intention and appearance, containing more entertainment and amusement elements (stage shows, amusement rides, etc.).
The term "animal theme park" can also be used to describe certain marine mammal parks, oceanariums, and more elaborate dolphinariums, such as SeaWorld, which offers amusement rides and additional entertainment attractions, and are also where marine animals such as whales are kept, contained, put on display, and are sometimes trained to perform in shows.
In 2010 the practice of keeping animals as trained show performers in theme parks was heavily criticized when a trainer was killed by an orca whale at SeaWorld Orlando in Florida.

We celebrated our cousins ? birthday at the park Surrounded in lush greenery and a beautiful lake Park has a fully fenced playground There are a few spots for BBQ and toilets We were around 30 people roughly and used half the area undercovered area, which was sufficient for keeping the ? cake and other food items The other half had another family celebration It’s great ? for kids as they have a lot of play structures for all ages, even toddlers . We spotted a few wedding photography ? needless to say, the location is beautiful and has plenty of parking . Best Tip : – Come in early to secure a great spot if you are planning on celebrating your birthday at the park Since it’s closer to highway ? and shopping centres, you don’t have to stress if you missed out on something ?

Nice place to have a small get-together. Picnic tables and walkways. Lots of wide open grass for the kids to run and play in and good play structure .

The northern side of the lake-side park. Beautiful trees, soft grass, a large gazebo in prime position, plentiful parking, beside a playground and more parkland. Follow the lakes edge to jetty, restrooms, BBQs and plenty of picnic benches. A beautiful spot to walk your dog, bring your family or have a picnic with friends.

This playground was amazing it had great equipment. I never saw the bathrooms but they looked awesome on the website. One thing I didn’t like is that it didn’t have water fountains everywhere and didn’t have much shade for those really hot days where it gets too hot but the kiddies still want to play. Apart from that it was a great playground and I’d definitely attend again. Great experience.

Very well rounded park. Its decently busy. We spent an hour and met 4/5 families. Completely enclosed with all sorts of terrain to try. There are all sorts of activities such as slides (a tall one for more adventurous players and a smaller one for toddlers ect) swings, rock walls, rope ladders, log stairs and a sort of spinning carousel. There is an enclosed track with hills and bends to either run or ride bikes/scooters ect on. You also have a few sculptures to admire and rocks in which to draw and etch animals from (bring paper and pencils). There is a BBQ surface though I did not use it, many beautiful trees and plants to interact with and taps for washing up if needed. Surfaces include glass, bark, dirt and that weird hard fake ground found in most parks. There is a toilet block nearby and plenty of parking either on street or near by. Two entrances / exits to watch and no dogs allowed. All in all, fantastic day . I would have gotten more pictures but there was just so much to do

There is a closed circuit, which is great for kids go learn the off-road bike experience. There are a great variety of play structures, great for toddlers to older kids.

It had a few picnic tables and benches around, great for picnic.

There is also a public bathroom convenient for taking care of the aftermath of any toddlers.

There is one working pump and two not in work. Hope that would be fixed soon.

Perth (Nyungar: Boorloo) is the capital and largest city of Western Australia. It is the fourth most populous city in Australia and Oceania, with a population of 2.2 million (80% of the state's) within Greater Perth. It is part of the South West Land Division of Western Australia, with the majority of Perth's metropolitan area on the Swan Coastal Plain between the Indian Ocean and the Darling Scarp. The city has expanded outward from the original British settlements on the Swan River, upon which its central business district and port of Fremantle are situated.
Perth was founded by Captain James Stirling in 1829 as the administrative centre of the Swan River Colony. The city is situated on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people, where Aboriginal Australians have lived for at least 45,000 years. Perth was named after the city of Perth in Scotland. Perth acquired city status in 1856, although the Perth City Council currently governs only a small area around the central business district. Substantial population growth occurred during the late 19th-century Western Australian gold rushes, and the city has continued to expand, particularly after World War II due to a high net migration rate. Post-war immigrants were predominantly from the British Isles and Southern Europe, while more recent arrivals see a growing population of Asian descent. During the late 20th and early 21st centuries, a series of mining booms in various regions of Western Australia propelled Perth into the role of the regional headquarters for significant mining operations.
Ranked as one of the world's most liveable cities, Perth was classified by the Globalization and World Cities Research Network as a Beta global city in 2020. As of 2021, Perth is divided into 30 local government areas, comprising over 350 suburbs. The metropolitan contours span 115 kilometres (71 mi) from Two Rocks in the north to Singleton in the south, and 45 kilometres (28 mi) from the west coast to Sawyers Valley in the east. Beyond the central business district, predominant urban centres within the metropolitan area include Armadale, Fremantle, Joondalup, Midland, and Rockingham. Most of those were originally established as separate settlements and retained a distinct identity after being subsumed into the wider metropolitan area. Mandurah, Western Australia's second-largest city, forms a conurbation with Perth along the coastline. Despite this, it is generally regarded as an independent city for practical purposes.
Perth features several important public buildings, as well as cultural and heritage sites. The city has various notable government buildings, including the Parliament House, Government House, the Supreme Court Buildings and the Perth Mint. The city is served by Fremantle Harbour and Perth Airport. It was a naval base for the Allies during World War II and today, the Royal Australian Navy's Fleet Base West is located on Garden Island. All five of Western Australia's universities are based in Perth.

The park is really huge. Has a big play area. Lots of benches and desks to sit and relax. The grass in the park is well maintained so you can sit on the grass. We had less time to spend there so couldn’t cover the entire park. But I’m sure to visit the park soon. So I could give a detailed review on the park. It’s a good spot for enjoying a picnic with your family or friends groups or just a walk. The park has two parking areas. The toilets are neat and clean. Has baby nappy changing area in the toilet. Dogs are allowed. The experience was super cool and awesome. Very nice and calm place. Good for walking, kids play and relaxing.❤️?

Great little park with heaps to do. My kids loved playing in the equipment.

A couple of the pieces of play equipment were damaged, but otherwise we’ll maintained.

Some dog poo in the “no dogs” area which was disappointing.

Lots of shady grass sports too!

We visited Kidspace Playground today by Chermside Westfield and my kids had a blast. Even as an older Playground, they really enjoyed running all over it like a castle. It was cool how it’s mostly undercover, which means kids can play rain or sun. There is a toilet block, plenty of walking tracks around the park and even a small Road way park for kids on bikes or scooters.

Heaps of picnic space, seating and some on-site bbqs.

Great park for the kids, plenty of shade and seats around.

Toilets were clean and easily accessible.

Plenty of open parkland to set up camp in, and barbecue facilities.

Most of the playground is undercover and is mostly made from wood.

Don’t get me wrong, this is a great park with all the amenities you’d need, it just lacks that little bit of adventure. A rickety bridge, rope ladder, just something that moves. It’s a great park and I’ll be back but I know it could be one of the best with some small adjustments.

Something different for the kids, an all sand playground with many different types of fastened scoops and pulleys for sand pour and transport play. Most of the sand is of the larger rough variety. Large slide and other climb play available. Decent shading in the afternoon of spring, with decent wind blocking. Water play available too but some pumps required some strength i.e. adult help required. Beach is right next to it, but it was very windy and quite littered when visited. Toilets available short walk away. Free parking available.

Beautiful park and play area for the kids. My Boys 4 and 5 years old love it. Tucked away… water play on hot weather… or on cold weather… depending how well your kids listen to you. Mine not so much

This playground in Port Melbourne is (literally) a hidden gem. Reminiscent of an abandoned shipyard, the playground is an easy 20 minutes walk from the tram station and Station Pier. Best time to visit is late afternoon for the stunning sunset.

Top Children Playground in Sydney, Australia

A playground, playpark, or play area is a place designed to provide an environment for children that facilitates play, typically outdoors. While a playground is usually designed for children, some are designed for other age groups, or people with disabilities. A playground might exclude children below (or above) a certain age.
Modern playgrounds often have recreational equipment such as the seesaw, merry-go-round, swingset, slide, jungle gym, chin-up bars, sandbox, spring rider, trapeze rings, playhouses, and mazes, many of which help children develop physical coordination, strength, and flexibility, as well as providing recreation and enjoyment and supporting social and emotional development. Common in modern playgrounds are play structures that link many different pieces of equipment.
Playgrounds often also have facilities for playing informal games of adult sports, such as a baseball diamond, a skating arena, a basketball court, or a tether ball.
Public playground equipment installed in the play areas of parks, schools, childcare facilities, institutions, multiple family dwellings, restaurants, resorts, and recreational developments, and other areas of public use.
A type of playground called a playscape is designed to provide a safe environment for play in a natural setting.

Nice and big, quite a lot of fun facilities. Swings, zip line, climbing nets, slides and sand pits with water. Water fountains and a clean toilet. Great place for families with kids to visit to spend a day at the park. There’s plenty of good spots for picnic and barbecue too. Many animals around too! There’s birds, ducks and lizards.

Nice family outing. Parking available on West Domain Ave but it may fill up quickly on weekends. It says 2P parking on weekdays but we usually go on weekends. Additional ticket parking available on Park Ave ($3/hr, $13/day on weekdays).

People are mentioning shade. The trees are all along the perimeter road (West Domain Ave), so if you arrive early enough, you should be able to find shade but bring your own folding chairs and tables. There are 4 shelters but those fill up quickly early in the morning. Children playground and public toilet available.

Timeout says this is one of the best playgrounds in Sydney. They’re wrong. The play equipment is nothing special and there isn’t enough of it to cater for the amount of kids out here. Plus, it’s all made of metal with no shade cover so in Summer the equipment is hazardously hot. Very disappointed.

Australia Zoo is a 700-acre (280 ha) zoo in the Australian state of Queensland on the Sunshine Coast near Beerwah/Glass House Mountains. It is a member of the Zoo and Aquarium Association (ZAA), and is owned by Terri Irwin, the widow of Steve Irwin, whose wildlife documentary series The Crocodile Hunter and his family's new show Crikey! It's the Irwins made the zoo a popular tourist attraction.
Australia Zoo was opened by Bob and Lyn Irwin on 3 June 1970 under the name Beerwah Reptile and Fauna Park. Their son Steve had helped his parents since childhood to care for crocodiles and reptiles and to maintain the growing number of animals in the zoo. In 1982 the park was renamed the Queensland Reptile and Fauna Park and the area was doubled with the purchase of another 4 acres (1.6 ha). Steve and Terri changed the name of their now growing wildlife park to Australia Zoo. As filming generated extra funds, Steve and Terri put all money raised from filming and merchandise into conservation and building new exhibits. Following Steve's accidental death from a stingray, Terri became the new owner of the zoo.
Australia Zoo won the Australian Tourism Awards for 2003–2004 in the category Major Tourist Attraction. In 2004, the Australian Animal Hospital was opened next to the zoo to help with animal care and rehabilitation. In 2010, Australia Zoo won Gold in the Queensland Tourism Awards for Major Tourist Attraction and in 2019, they won the RACQ People's Choice Award – Experience & Services. Visitors will see a wide variety of birds, mammals, and reptiles, and can view crocodile feedings, and have hands-on animal encounters.

The Darwin Hospital was a former hospital that was located at Myilly Point in Larrakeyah, an inner suburb of Darwin, Northern Territory in Australia. It was the second public hospital to be built in the city, replacing a facility that had originally opened in 1874 nearby on Packard Street, Larrakeyah. The hospital had a short but eventful history, being extensively damaged by air-raids during World War II and by Cyclone Tracy in 1974. For most of its operating life, the hospital maintained segregated wards for Aboriginal patients, a policy that did not extend to those of mixed race or Asian descent. It was replaced by Royal Darwin Hospital in the early 1980s.

Korora is a suburb of the City of Coffs Harbour in New South Wales, Australia, located 6 km north of the city centre. Korora is located in a basin that runs from the foothills of the Great Dividing Range in the west to Korora Bay (part of the Tasman Sea) in the east. It is bisected by the Pacific Highway, which runs south to north between Sydney and Brisbane. The section of Korora between the Pacific Highway and the coast is mainly residential, with some tourist facilities. The section west of the Highway consists of larger residential blocks and farms growing mainly bananas and blueberries. The west-most section of Korora is forested and includes part of the Ulidarra National Park. The Korora basin is drained by creeks that flow into Pine Brush Creek and enter the sea at Hills Beach.
The name Korora stems from an Aboriginal word ‘Kurrawa’ which has been variously interpreted to mean “rough sea or seas”, “sound of the waves” or “roar of the seas”. The variant spelling ‘Kororo’ is found in some place names (Kororo Public School, Kororo Reserve), but is thought to be due to a spelling error in an early handwritten document.

Best place in Coffs for kids on a rainy day! Staff are super friendly, coffee is tasty, prices are reasonable. My kids love it.

Great place for kids to get active during rainy weather, but more than 1 hour for a coffee. Insane. Staff are slacking off and walking behind counter. When you deal with much people, be active at least. And no communication at order time.
