Muscles were fresh, but unfortunately, they were not properly cleaned. I would have liked them slightly bigger as well. The dish was, unfortunately, served cold (supposed to be hot). It was still good. Calamari and chips were ok. Lacking a bit of salt and also not hot when it reached the table. Lovely setting.

Had the best steamed mussels and chips here yesterday and had the calamari and chips before. Also, the guy there is an absolute champ! We also had a good talk about fishing and even showed us the huge fish that he got. Will be back for sure ❤️

Driving around Geelong and saw a sign for fresh mussels. Yes please! Got 2kgs and the seafood paella. Definitely a must have! Paella is mouthwatering with a very generous amount of seafood.

It was raining so we couldnt eat outside but next to a nice seaside view i would recommend.

We visited Gerry’s Mussel Boat on our trip through Geelong. We had the mussels, prawns and paella all of which were absolutely delicious! It was so good we made sure to go back a few days later when we passed back through. The service was also 10/10.

I recently visited Fish Frenzy and was delighted with the experience. The staff’s friendliness added a welcoming touch to our visit. The food was not only tasty but the portion sizes were impressively generous. We savored a delightful mix of fish and chips, calamari, and grilled prawns – the grilled prawns stood out as my personal favorite. A must-try for seafood enthusiasts!

I went to Fish Frenzy for lunch and ordered the fish and chips and the grilled salmon with salad. I was very disappointed with the fish and chips. The fish was very oily and small, especially the flake fish. It was not fresh or tasty at all. The chips were also soggy and bland. I would not order this dish again. The grilled salmon was good, though. It was cooked well and had a nice flavor. The salad was fresh and crisp, and it complemented the salmon well. I liked the seating area and the view of the water. They also had a good range of cold dishes, such as seafood platters and salads. Overall, I had a mixed experience at Fish Frenzy. I think they need to improve their fish and chips quality and portion size.

If you are after seafood and in the area, I would definitely recommend it. However it is on the pricey side for fish & chips.

Grilled market fish (blue eye) with Greek salad ($42) and grilled scallops with Caesar salad ($34)

      Grilled Scallops were fantastic.
Decent line to order but quick to cook.

Had an amazing meal at Fish Frenzy.

We sampled the natural oysters (which were fresh, creamy and tasted of the sea), the seafood chowder (full of creamy seafood goodness and best thing on a chilly day) and the ‘Fish Frenzy’ (mixture of fish, calamari, scallops and chips).

All the dishes were cooked well. Service was friend and efficient. The restaurant was clean and airy – what you’d expect from being on wharfside.

All in all, a great experience and would recommend!!

Location is very good, had seats outside. We ordered the big fish pack and a small seafood salad. It’s not the best I’ve had but it’s certainly not bad at all. If you like to sit somewhere enjoying the breeze while having some fish and chips then it’s the place to go.

We had an amazing time here! The food was great – ordered calamari, grilled prawns, prawn twisters, barramundi, large chips and drinks to feed the whole gang. The weather was beautiful and great company! would love to visit again next time in the Entrance.

Amazing seafood for a decent price (highly recommend the marinated octopus, prawn cutlets and calamari rings). The fresh seafood was the only let down (oysters not fresh at all), and unfortunately had to wait for more than half an hour but can appreciate it was quite busy.

It’s expensive. $27+commission for fish, chips and salad. The portions are generous and the quality is high.

It was a nice experience. We only got fish and chips but it is a good, quiet atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating options. We liked that we were able to serve our own sauces instead of paying for portions that aren’t near enough for the food. The portions were generous and satisfying. I was impressed with the crumbing on the fish and calamari. Not many soft drinks options

Wonderful place to have fish and chips while enjoying the amazing view. Long weekend, wasn’t very crowded, food came quickly, drinks were nice. The parking is $20 dollars but if you spend in food it gets validated. The new renovation are worth it it looks amazing

Great food at a brilliant location with views and fresh lake breezes. The only problem with being so good is the wait times, which go up to an hour or more, so plenty of time to hit the well-stocked bar for a few return visits. Bring some friends you like to pass the time, you’ll eventually get your fill of some very nice food!

‘beautiful place with nice view but bad food’

This was the second time I tried fish and chips. We had a take away for the first time and it was very disappointing as the fish and chips were soggy. So this time, four of us had dining in. Soon we ordered the fish and chips, it took probably 2 mins to come out. And we had a bite straight away, then it was soggy and not really hot. I am 1000% certain food was already made and it was extremely disappointing.

frozen Rubbish! We booked the cabana for my fathers lunch birthday today (5-1-24) we were extremely disappointed with the food! The seafood platter was not edible, the Balmain Bug & crab did not look nice & tasted like frozen rubbish. The grilled prawns were disgusting, the pumpkin salad was tasteless! The only thing that was nice was the pizza (the prawns were disgusting on the pizza) & the crumbed Dory and chips, which was bought to our table an hour after the rest of the food, after asking for it 3 times. Over $300 worth of food served in cardboard at a yacht club is disgraceful! When we asked for plates to share the platters we were told they don’t have plates, so we ripped the lids off the served food and used as plates, like we were having takeaway in a park! I mentioned the disappointment to 2 staff members, with no response, so I went in to see the manager who said he would talk to the chef and come back to see me. We sat there for another 40 minutes waiting for him to come back to discuss the disappointment but with no reply! We had 2 separate orders totaling over $300, what a disgrace! We arrived before it got busy, and as a chef of 20 years I understand pressure in the kitchen, but it’s a simple menu! Food and customer service I wouldn’t even give 1 star! (The Barista was lovely and made good coffee) Extremely disappointed that we got no reply from the supervisor, I will never visit again and never recommend Snapper on the Lake. Also adding the greasy handprints on the bathroom doors, and dirty floors.

Highly recommend going to this fish and chips shop if you’re in the area and want some traditional fish and chips.

Customer service was so great and everything was coated in chicken salt which is the way it should be.

Very cheap prices as this was $41 between 2 people which could’ve easily fed an extra person

First of all they forgot part of my order, i had to go back and pick it up. Secondly I bite into the fish and find it chewy like it’s not cooked all the way through. Ive had fish and chips from here once before and it was fine, today was just an off day maybe. 0/10 never again

Walked in and was surprised by the welcoming the kind of service I received. The food that I ordered was very filling and how tasty it was. I have never seen a fish and chip store before that sells all different kinds of snacks and drinks before including selling a secret food menu. Will definetly arrive back on the hospitality and the options that you can choose at this fish and chips shop 🙂

Usually don’t review places, but this was worth the review.

Food: Good portions, good taste, sweets were AWESOME. Good seasoning – well salted and not too overdone. Good amount of sugar dusting on fried sweets too.

Customer service: Employee (owner?) called me to let me know they were missing an item. They called me straight away to offer an alternative or a refund without question. Opted for an alternative which was just as good.

Accuracy/cleanliness: All items were delivered in full. Missing nothing. Everything was correctly labelled and in separate bags/wraps.

Timing: Slightly slow on the delivery. HOWEVER! We ordered at their busiest time. It is expected they were slow – they are only human. Everything arrived hot and cooked through, so the time wasn’t them leaving things hanging around.

Special touch: Wrote kind messages on our delivery products. That extra touch you can’t pay for – that is a standard they take themselves.

Response to bad reviews: Greasy food – its fried food, expect grease. This isn’t a 5* steakhouse, its fish and chips. Customer service – no idea where this comes from. They took the time to give me a call to update me on my order even in their busy hours. Badly cooked – it may be depending on other things, but the times we have ordered were perfect. I suggest ordering again and seeing how you feel.

Overall great place. Exactly as you would expect from a fish and chip store. However, they go above and beyond.

Absolutely delicious. The batter was so nice and crispy and not oily. We tried three different fillets. All tasted nice, but the snapper was the favourite. If you prefer fish over meat, you have to try their fish burger. Also, we were recommended to try batter dim sim, which was much better than normal dim sim. This one is the best fish and chip in Cranbourne.

If you’re wondering if you should go or not.. let me try persuade you.. DO IT, you won’t find better fish and chips on the coast..

Edit 1. 5 Stars. New day and year. Decent turnaround given the large amount of customers. Bit of a wait but still worth it. Lunchtime visit and had great service. Fish, 100%. absolutely loved it. Will be back!!

Original review. 3 Stars. Small group of us went for a late lunch/early dinner on a Thursday afternoon. It was a little busy but within the 20-30 minutes we waited in line to order, the line grew and was spilling on the footpath.. even with a 7pm closing time, nice to see they were still being served.

Group order of fish, chips, wedges and calamari. The calamari were gold, very nice and definitely something I’d have again. The chips were nice, wedges and fish so so.

There’s a little bit of seating but not really enough for how busy it gets, seating areas could use another bin as the crows and ibis’ were getting in them and definitely need a bit of a clean from time to time. Limited parking as it’s also used by people who settle in for the afternoon to watch the sunsets over the bay. See

Great food but very poor service.

I tried Peter’s for the first time a couple years ago after seeing so many pictures and reviews. The food was amazing and fresh, however the service was appalling. I waited in line with a diverse range of customers and was disappointed when it came my turn to be greeted with a disgruntled staff member who’s demeanour and communication changed completely. He spoke in a loud and abrupt tone (assuming I couldn’t speak English based off my appearance). I then watched him promptly perk up and cheerily greet the couple behind me and continue to go between the two, based on the appearance of the customer he was serving.

Well I wanted to give Peter’s another chance, hoping my experience this time would be a bit more positive and went back for some more fresh seafood. While the food was absolutely spot on, the service unfortunately remained unchanged. Exact same experience this time around with the same attitude when ordering.

As a business that’s located in such a prime location with such good food, it’s truly so disappointing to see such a lack in the quality of service.

Multiculturalism and diversity isn’t new in Australia, and it seems it might be worth educating your staff on it.

Great Fish and Chips from Peters Fish Market. We had heard positive reviews so decided to give it a try. Awesome fish and lovely chips, good size portions and $10 for fish of the day. The outside sitting area could do with a bit of attention but the friendly staff and food made up for it.
