      I had a very important conference for 3 days and went to another salon for a blow-dry, to make my hair nice. but they didn’t do it well. I was stressed and nearly cried because I wasn’t familiar with the area and had no time to go somewhere else. I walked in and asked a gentleman for help. He was incredibly kind, reassuring me to stay calm. After just 5 minutes, he started blow-drying my hair and did an excellent job. He’s the best hairdresser I’ve ever see in my life. First he sectioned my hair and then start to dray and brush my hair.He provided a very personalized service, and in the end, he refused to accept payment, mentioning he has a salon for men and doesn’t offer services for ladies. I don’t know how to thank him. He saved my job and made my day.

      My hair was blow-dried so well that it stayed in good shape throughout the three days of the conference. I just needed to brush it in the morning, and it was ready to go.

      I hope one day he opens a branch for ladies. Highly recommended. He is the best.

      I’ve been to most barbers in the area and nothing even comes close to these guys. They make you feel like a friend as soon as you walk in, they remember you and even who cut you hair the last time you were in. They take absolute care and execute haircuts with precision. If you have a special occasion or just want to look your best, Tapered is the place to go. The pride and professionalism they display exceeds any other place I’ve been to, they truely deserve credit for the way the make you look and feel. Thankyou guys for always looking after me.

      Professional and friendly local barber

      Just had a haircut by Baz and was really happy with the results. I mentioned I had some troubles with cuts in the past so he tailored my cut on my work life and previous issues I’ve had with my hair.

      The cut was quick and efficient and chatting to Baz was a friendly casual conversation.

      I’ve had many cuts from different barbers but this one definitely hits different, would recommend to family and friends in the future.

      I came to the salon after deciding to cut my hair short, although my hair was very long and I was quite stressed about the cut. I was welcomed into the salon with a smile, throughout the cut I was explained to about what was going to happen with my hair and the options I had, which made me feel a lot better about the whole experience. After the chop I asked about how I could style it and I was shown multiple ways which made me feel very comfortable about the whole situation. I love my haircut and I’ll will be coming back! One of the best salons I’ve been too !

She also provided some sensible advice on how to look after my hair which I really appreciated.       I had a great first visit here. Rhiannon and Saje were very welcoming and genuine. The salon was clean and quiet, great for relaxing. I have curly hair which can be difficult to cut right but Rhiannon was wonderful. She clarified exactly what I wanted and executed it amazingly! She also gave some great advice about caring for hair and products that would work for me, without the pressure of a hard sell. I will definitely be back, thank you!

      Ive used this place a few times and never had too much of an issue. Once when I got my hair washed they didn’t put some bit om the sink that supports your neck so my head lay right back on the hard ledge. The second time the lady washing my hair was very rough and the lady cutting it left me with a headache!!!! She pulled and brushed my hair so roughly it was extremely painful!!!!!!!! Other than that I will probably still use them

      Similar to other comments. Waited 90 minutes. Was booked in. Arrived on time, told would be next hair cut. After waiting an hour got told, they “didn’t refresh the screen.” So had to do someone else’s hair first. It was clear they were friends with the other clients done first. Waited 90 minutes before leaving. Would’ve appreciated general common courtesy from any professional business and just told from the start what to expect and a time.

      Booked in on their website, I showed up on time and was told to wait, 45 mins later i gave up on waiting and left. When you see people that just walk in and get sat down straight away when I have been waiting for quite awhile, definitely frustrating The place seemed like a hang out for all the young cool people, people vaping and just walking around talking to everyone. Definitely wasn’t a professional place. Being Australian I definitely didn’t feel welcome in there

      Wife booked an appointment at 9am. We arrived just before 9am, but both staff were already with customers. It appeared that one of the customers had no booking. We did the online booked few days in advance and even received an online confirmation the day before. We waited for about 10mins, and told the lady staff we will go for a walk then come back. We went back at around 930am, the staff was still with the same customer and Chatting away and taking their time. Clear we are not as important as other customers. What is the point of making an online booking, especially it was the first booking for the day at 9am? There usually is a reason why customers book in advance and the first appointment, because they have other schedules to meet. This is very unprofessional and even arrogant. When we went back at 9.30am, the other staff checked and said we need to wait for another 5min. Not even a Sorry for their errors and incompetency. This is not on and simply not good enough. We visit Southport often and have been to this place. During our lats visit, the gentleman staff was very friendly and nice. Non of that this time. Maybe business is too good to care about us as an individual customer and it’s a Monday morning. No smiles from the staff and lack of energy. They couldnt care less. Very disappointment to say the least. This typically can happen to businesses that are successful but overtime, sense of entitlement and arrogance kick in, and service standards start to drop over time but the staff wouldn’t even be aware of the service level drop. If the management does care, they need to review the situation and ensure it does not happy to other customers. Staff and computer system can make errors but the more important part is how you address the situation with the customers after the error has been made, ensuring they still have an good overall experience in the end. Not in our case, unfortunately.

I had a bad experience at a different place which made me not want go to another hairdresser in Australia in fear of making my hair worse 🙁 but these guys have left me smiling both times, even when I had to get a big chop to fix my hair they made it look great!

      I had such a good experience here! Sia brought my hair from virgin black to a cool beige blonde. It required 2 rounds of bleach and I requested that she blend brown into the roots. I have neutral/cool skin tone and she read it perfectly; the brown and beige tones she picked match my skin way better than the colors I showed her at the beginning of my appointment. She was very clear about the pricing and attentive to the processing time. My hair still feels strong and smooth, and Sia gave me hair wash recommendations to keep the color. I was at the salon from 10a to 4p and my total cost (Colour Pkg + root blend + 2nd round of bleach + extra dense hair) was $470 AUD. I love my colour, and would definitely return!

      Tip: Kausie is really conveniently located in an East Asian plaza. You can run over to Bánh Mì Southport and grab a sandwich. Machi Machi has some great boba to pair with 🙂

      I have been getting my haircut from Andy (the director) for many years now. Every haircut, i feel like i have been graced by god lmao. No but in all seriousness, if you need confidence, a glow up, a transformation. Book here, and book Andy. He is a god with haircuts and has saved my life. Best place ever 🙂
