I brought a laptop. It is faulty. I can not perform basic functions like reviewing work documents or browsing the internet as applications take minutes to launch and some browser extensions crash.
I asked for a refund of store credit towards a better laptop. Unfortunately this laptop was not available.
I asked for a refund.
This was refused apparently my only option is for it to be sent off for repair possibly using reconditioned parts.
Then to top it off they refused to give me any paperwork or receipt to confirm I have handed the laptop back into them.
So somehow I walked in to Officeworks with a faulty laptop and I have walked out with nothing….

Not enough staff hired during a busy time. Very slow at the print desk. Also, I was helping an elderly woman on the self-serve machine – after spending 10 minutes trying to get two machines to read the USB stick, we were told that both machine’s card readers were faulty. I suggested they go to the immense effort of adding an out-of-order sign so customers don’t waste their time trying.

Today around 4PM I did my self-service doing printing etc and left my USB dongle at the copier machine. 40 minutes later when I got home I realised I left it at the machine dangling, call the Maribyrnong number and 20 minutes later nobody pick it up and so I went back and its not at the copier and went to the front cashier and the team member on her phone asking others if anyone found it (a customer might find it and hand it) but QUICK TO SAY NOBODY FOUND IT. I was determined and so I line up and young Harry or was it Henry asked if he can be any help and I explained and he looks at the screen and straight away I can see my files and HE HANDED ME THE USB DONGLE (its looks like a credit card) Its disappointing that many on duty just don’t give a damn about customer service and LUCKILY I FOUND YOUNG HARRY (or Henry) THANKS to Harry and the customer who handed it, I guess its my good karma as a few months back I found a wallet at Highpoint and handed it to 2 security guys and the owner texted me that she got it back the 2nd time I found a wallet in front of/near Uniqlo not far from Apple and its containing among cards are 2 of $100 = $200 and I handed it to Information Desk and a week later when I checked if anyone has collected nobody seems to know and a few days later I checked again and still nobody can bother to check if it has been pick up by the owner (lives in Craigieburn) and the Information Desk said they have ‘hundreds’of lost items…..yeah right!

Not great service, staff are ill-informed about the services Officeworks offers and have an attitude of ‘that’s not my problem’ when asked for help, especially in the printing area. I have had several interactions with different staff members in this store over the last week (as I had to chase up an elusive click and collect order many times) which have all been less than informed and enthusiastic and once when I called was told they’d go and check and left me on hold for almost half an hour. I had to hang up and call back. This team needs a serious overhaul in their customer service.

The self-serve printer failed me and directed me to the service desk. I waited for over 15 minutes to get the remainder of my printing job done.
Then charged the service desk price rather than the self-serve price.
Very poor form. The people waiting in the queue behind me weren’t happy either.

Not often I am so unhappy with service that I write a review. A gentleman and I were in line and the print me office for no less than 20 mins. Yes I counted the time I am not exaggerating. The lady Nicole refused to acknowledge either of us at all at helped a lady who came up and stood at the counter and not in line. She asked if she was just wanting to pay or print.
Some acknowledgment would have been nice.

Quite a large footprint. I did enjoy the very wide variety of all things office on offer. The staff are friendly knowledgeable and helpful. What I do like is their new scheme of designing your own office chair. You select the wheel base, the seat type and the back. There are different shapes and you can chose the colour you want. Even mix and match if you like.
