I’ve loved this place since the moment I moved up here… and have had both takeaway and dine in for one whenever I feel in the mood! I’ve read some of the reviews and can honestly say, the staff have always been a pleasure, never rude, look out for your needs and check in on you and if you are ok… I love the diversity of the menu, with both southern and northern cuisine styles…if you want it hot, ask for it! And it will be hot ? I always get more than I need and love my take home dinners. I’ve never been disappointed – and please note, it you want home delivery, it pays to get in quick as they are in demand, may take a while and well worth it ?

We went there on Saturday night for dinner. Restaurant was half empty and still it took 1.5 hours for food to arrive. We did not order anything fancy, just the normal food. Still we had to wait for ridiculously long time. Staff was very arrogant and did not answer us well when we asked about expected time for serving food. Food taste was okay, just like any other average indian restaurant. Cherry on top was: My curry had a plastic piece in it and the staff blatantly answered “It must be from a box”. I was left speechless by this remark. I would never recommend this place. Waste of time and money.

We are not locals so searched best Indian in Pakenham. We were not disappointed. The house special cheese Naan was worth a trip from Melbourne. I had tandoori mushrooms as entree and ate the whole serving which was enough for 2 to 4 people. Kids had Butter Chicken. 1 between 2 was enough for them (we even took some home) . I had the coconut curry prawns. What a find! So glad I googled ?

If you are looking for a nice tandoori place in Pakenham, I will say go to Shavans. The tandoori was fantastic, juicy, fresh & mouth watering. The service was a bit slow, atmosphere was so so and overall cleanliness, especially the toilets has room to improve.

Best Indian food around. Always found to be CONSISTANT in quality and taste. Sometimes there’s a wait, but it is WORTH the wait. Signs of a great restaurant. We’ve been eating from here for about 8years, no need to seek out any other Indian.

Best Indian food in Pakenham and even beyond.

Had a beautiful date night here. Despite of being busy (for Father’s Day), the staff were super friendly and attentive.

We ordered Tandoori Lamb Cutlets and Garlic Chicken Tikka for entrée. It was sizzling when served and mouth watering. Lamb Korma and Butter Chicken with Raita and saffron rice for main. We asked for mild, and they listened unlike many other Indian restaurants. All dishes were aromatic and heavenly.

For dessert, we got Pistachio Kulfi and Mango Lassi. Dreamy finish for an Indian night out.

Outstanding experience. Can’t recommend this place enough. We will definitely come back. Would love to see if they add Dosa to their menu.

28/12/2023 – We decided to go to this restaurant near our Motel, we checked online menu decided our order and went there, and My disappointments are here

      1) Waitress gave us menu and I told we are ready to order when you’re ready, waitress went inside and started wiping Dishes and we kept waiting till someone noticed 10 minutes later and came to take order.

      2) Mixed pakora didn’t have any salt in it.

      3) Our Paneer Kadai curry was more like paneer butter masala, sweet and orangy (check photo) color instead of brown gravy. I can count 2 capcicum in it, 10gm sauce and 100 paneer. Not at all authentic, cant say it was indian curry.

      4) We ordered 1 paratha, while serving paratha, waitress told us any other order will take 20-25 minutes. I asked, “even for paratha?” She replied “Yes because chef is busy preparing others food”. I have visited busier restaurants than that and it never takes 20 minutes for paratha. This restaurant only had few tables, it shouldn’t have taken 20-25 minutes for 1 bloody paratha. I have worked in restaurants and running orders takes priority specially things like paratha and Rice. Don’t bloody say chef is busy to make others food. I am customer, too and paying money.

We were on holiday and didn’t want to spoil mood arguing with them but they definitely spoiled my mood by worst food and service.

Please don’t call this indian Food. Also have some courtesy to ask for feedback and take it, you need it.

BIG NO NO from me. NEVER GOING AGAIN.

First time going there, food was cooked very well, love it. The only issue was the cleanliness of the place: the dinning table was dirty, with covid just gone you would expect hight level of cleanliness but nope. There was so much oil left on the entre plate, had to wipe my food with service to get rid of the oil.

Curries are good even though missing some sauce. Rices are also good but naan is not good. No indian ambiance, quite cold in fact. Ask for the bill because they just tell you a price and some extra things can appear without notice.

My partner is Indian and he absolutely loved the authenticity of the meals that he ate. I am Australian and also loved the recipes as they were flexible in making my dishes very mild. I really appreciate the way that they were flexible in their, thinking of preparing the dishes to cater for different nationalities and their taste buds. The quality of the meals were excellent also. Thank you for a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back again when we are in that area. ?

To get to the restaurant they do have parking but the restaurant itself is a little hidden. Once inside we were seated and quickly found out they hadn’t turned the heater on.

Once seated we were served quite quickly, we order our food and they delivered water. I think we waited around 10 mintues for our starter to come out and around 15 minutes for our mains.

The food was amazing plus it was presented in a very pleasing way. My lamb was a little salty but everyone else’s was nice.

They also had no music or TV so the atmosphere was pretty much non exsitant, the dinning room is also decorated randomly which was a but off putting.

Overall great night. The food was great, the service was good, but the atmosphere was lacking.

Mentions: they deliver through menulog, they have a toilet, kid friendly.

Edit: we came for dinner a second time and were happy to see they had changed their dinning room to look better.

This time the food was even better than the last, the presentation was great. The service was fantastic and the servers were very friendly. Would still recommend!

While travelling from Sydney to Melbourne we stayed at Wagga Wagga for a day. We ordered food from this restaurant and it was really good and freshly cooked with good portions. I would recommend this restaurant to all indian food lovers in such a calm and quiet surroundings.

By the time we reached there they were only taking takeaway orders. But as we’re travelling, we were unable to takeaway and the staff was kind enough to let us dine in. We ordered dal makhano, nalli nihari – lamb and sheesh kebabs. Everything was good, especially nihari, lamb was falling off the bone. Amazing food and friendly staff. Must visit if you are in Wagga Wagga and you want to eat Indian.

One of the best Indian meals. I dined in and so cannot speak for takeout which is out the front pre-made. However the Indian style butter chicken and the Karahi beef were excellent, served hot and so tasty. The naan bread was exceptional.

While visiting family recently we had a very cheap and cheerful meal here. I had already read very positive reviews and this restaurant did not disappoint. We tried lamb (can’t remember the curry) and it was not only delicious but plenty for 2 with rice, naan, onion bhaji and papadums. We BYOed from the local bottle shop across the road. Our young waiter was efficient and friendly and we felt very well looked after. The decor is fun with some tex mex vibes but nothing wrong with that ?

I like this place a lot. Everything from here smells amazing. I enjoyed ordering the mango curry with rice and some naan bread. The naan bread is cheap and comes in a wide variety of flavors and it tasted amazing dipped in the curry! The rice has good texture. I like the Mango Lassi drinks sold here as well.

Everest Inn: An Unapologetically Authentic Culinary Journey from Bunbury to the Himalayas

Imagine a portal that could transport you from the sun-kissed streets of Bunbury to the vibrant markets and spice-laden alleys of Nepal and India. Brace yourself, because I’ve stumbled upon just that portal, and it’s none other than Everest Inn Nepalese and Indian Cuisine Restaurant. And let me tell you, when they say authenticity, they aren’t mincing words; they’re dishing out pure, unadulterated flavors that whisk you away on a gastronomic adventure.

As a wanderer who’s had the privilege of traversing the bustling streets of Nepal and India, I approached Everest Inn with a mixture of curiosity and skepticism. Could they truly capture the essence of those far-flung lands so accurately? Well, hold on to your culinary hats, because they absolutely did.

My journey into the heart of Himalayan flavors began with a plate of “veggie momos.” These delicate dumplings, stuffed with a medley of vegetables and lovingly folded into crescent-shaped parcels, transported me back to the bustling streets of Kathmandu. One bite, and I could almost hear the cacophony of street vendors and feel the rush of energy in the air.

A sip of their “mango lassi” was like a refreshing breeze sweeping through, the sweetness of the mango intermingling with the tang of yogurt, a harmony of flavors that danced on my palate. It was as if I were sitting in a quaint café in Delhi, escaping the heat with this delightful concoction.

The main course was where Everest Inn truly flexed its authenticity muscles. I opted for the daring “beef vindaloo,” a dish known for its fiery kick and complex flavors. As I took the first forkful, my taste buds were hit with a whirlwind of sensations—fiery heat, a medley of spices, and the rich umami of tender beef. This wasn’t your run-of-the-mill curry; this was a culinary explosion that left me both breathless and craving more.

But the real showstopper was the “Everest thali set.” This beautifully presented ensemble was a canvas of flavors, each component offering a glimpse into the rich culinary tapestry of Nepal and India. The curries, the rice, the bread—it was as if I were experiencing a festival of flavors in a single meal. The authenticity was palpable, and I couldn’t help but marvel at how far I had traveled from Bunbury.

The experience was made even more enchanting by the warmth of the staff, who seemed to know that they were serving up more than just food; they were dishing out memories, experiences, and a slice of their own culture.

So, there you have it, an unfiltered tale of my escapade into Everest Inn Nepalese and Indian Cuisine Restaurant. No sugar-coating, no embellishments—just a genuine tribute to the art of cooking and the power of flavors to connect us across continents. If you’re in search of an adventure that marries authenticity with pure, unbridled taste, then buckle up and embark on a culinary odyssey that will take you from Bunbury to the Himalayas in a single bite.

I’m EXTREMELY fussy with my Indian restaurants/food. As soon as I walked in, I felt a warm positive atmosphere. From their exceptionally helpful and friendly staff, the cleanliness of this restaurant speaks for itself with the top quality food which they serve up. Definitely the best Indian restaurant I’ve been to which ticks all the boxes so far in Melbourne. Very generously priced aswell. A true benchmark for not just the food, but the restaurant – which surely needs to be followed by other restaurants. Well done to the whole team here, Keep it up.

Went out with family to eat. Saw this Indian and decided we’d give it a try. It’s a very nice setup, perfect temperature inside, atmosphere was wonderful. Ordered drinks and food, which both came in about 15 minutes. Mansoori Lamb was exceptional, only a bit sweet, butter chicken was the same, I ordered the goat curry, which was exceptional as well. Overall, great dinning experience, would recommend for families or night outs with friends.

Spicy Level : We ordered medium to hot spicy. But it was very plain taste. So if you want a real spicy food, insist that you need spicy. ?

Fast Service : We got the food very fast. May be it was because we were the only one dining for Sunday dinner.

      Atmosphere: I liked the atmosphere.

      Service: Very friendly.

Price : Little more spicy for the quantity.

I will return to this one again. YES.

We really enjoyed the food and warm hospitality. Staffs were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the vibe entering the restaurant. Many pictures on the wall reflecting India.

We ordered Lemon Lime Bitter and it was great. Definitely 10/10. Mix entrees for 3 was amazing. Perfect size, mouthwatering taste and very fresh ingredients. We enjoyed everything ( Samosa, Pakora and Lamb).

We ordered Dal Makhni and Butter Chicken Curry. Perfect serve, fresh ingredients and amazing Taste. Garlic and Cheese na amazing too.

We really enjoyed everything and service was quick. We will definitely be back during our next Mackay trip.

Thank you team for amazing food and warm hospitality ??

Last night i went here, and the people were lovely. The butter chicken (medium) was so tender and impeccable. It was my first time coming to Masala Indian Cuisine and i have no complaints. the service was quick and once we asked for our food literally 10 minutes later it was ready. This place is amazing and i’m definitely going back. i’ve read another review about this place and it wasn’t the best but i also think it was unfair.. it was my 1st time coming to this restaurant and i was blown away of how good the food, service, and the kindness was. Moral of the story is don’t let ONE review determine on how you feel about a restaurant. i don’t regret coming here at all.
