      I didn’t realise that incredible service like this still existed. Family owned business that will go above and beyond to help you. I mean ABOVE and BEYOND! We were stranded in our caravan with no brake lights and Matt came out to help us, thoroughly explaining everything and fixed the problem.. in the dark! Our caravan is huge and he came to us to save us having to worry about parking etc/driving with no brake lights. (Astounding right?!!!) I often feel intimidated with everything ‘auto’ because I feel like I get talked down to, but not here. Not an ounce of condescending tone, he didn’t ignore me and just talk to my partner, I didn’t get talked down to.

      Nothing but incredible kindness, patience and incredibly thorough work. I absolutely cannot recommend this business enough! We are SO grateful!

      The team at APPS mechanical are absolutely amazing, we have taken our 06 Honda Odyssey in several times, one of which was an annoying sensor issue which required several visits to resolve as the issue kept evolving and wasn’t a common issue (most mechanics would have given up or carried on like a pork chop ) however Corey, Jess and the team handled this with beautiful patience and tenacity and a determination to fix the problem. They are a clear stand out of all the mechanics I’ve been to. Would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a mechanic in the Port Macquarie and surrounding areas, they do a top quality job at a respectable price and leave the car better than they found it. Thanks heaps APPS you’ve made this part of life easy.

      Terrible experience,went inside to ask for a rego check my partner was inside of the car i did left our car in their parking lot, after i got back outside one of the workers crashed in to our car .the guy crashed into rear wing that has dent in and fender flare is broken.solution that they came up to was a bit spray paint and dent is still in .my prtner was inside of the car so she could have move the car anytime if needed and i was inside for maximum a minute.

      Can’t thank these legends enough for checking over my car on the way through Port. They confirmed even with the noise it was safe to drive, checked all the wheel bolts, degreased the engine bay and had me on my way..       I have always had great service from Ben and his team of mechanics. They have been accommodating in getting me booked in and fixed any issues that I have had with my car. They have also shown me the worn parts that have been replaced on occasion. They always ring and confirm any work that is required before going ahead and doing it. When working to a budget Ben tells us if something can wait until the next service to be done.

      Important, I had a bad experience there (3) when asking to check my air conditioning! Each time I returned the car they said: =Tested and good to Go! But, NO, when I returned the 3 time, and got the ” Good to Go”, 3 days later, Still warm air!!! Also, I had to wait an extra week, because they wanted the Head mechanic to fix the air-conditioning problem. But no result.? Few weeks later I booked in with another repair shop and the problem was found immediately and is still cooling nicely!! GOOD TO GO as they say! And when I asked to adjust my handbrake: Oh, sorry, it was not done. (on 2 occasions) Overall, friendly people.

      Even though at the end we got what we needed, but it was not a pleasant experience. Worst part was, tried to get the seat belt fixed as a part of requirement of RWC, was promised will be done in few hours. Waited for it on a Saturday until mid day and was told they were unable to get it fitted.

      And my partner had to take another day off to bring the car back in. the job only took 15-30 min, but he was waited for good 4 hours.

      Only go here if your standards are really low and you consider this to be acceptable from brand new disks they supplied and installed after bringing it back 4 times for a bad grinding noise. But apparently that damage to the outer disk “is just paint”. Optical illusion 100.

      EDIT* If you think this is a “small” issue then I made the right choice to never bring my car back to you. I did move on, to another mechanic, one I paid to fix your poor workmanship properly. If you can’t tell the difference between anti corrosion paint and missing steel you have bigger problems than a bad review ?‍♂️

      Did a great job but it would have been nice if we were told the fuel gauge wasn’t reading correctly. Gauge now shows a full tank even when empty , Almost ran out of fuel.

      But car got us back to Brisbane

      I could not fault Mechanical World ! They really helped us in our time of need when my car broke down on the Motorway . Steve and his crew went above and beyond .       Hi, we were on the road with our rental campervan and unfortunately, our alternator broke down!!! Tracy was so kind with us, so comprehensive. I would like to thank her super team who found rapidly the spare part (such a good job since the vehicule dates back from 2003!) and fixed the alternator so fastly. The part was sent overnight and we were able to drive on the next day afternoon. We come from France and we’re very grateful to meet so kind and efficient team ! Moreover, Tracy looked after all with the rental company: she contacted them for us and even managed to be paid directly instead of we having to pay and be refunded!       I took my XR6 Turbo to them 3 years ago and they completely stuffed it up. Tracy the owner is rude and so is her husband. Please do not take your car here, my car had starting problems ever since they put their hands on it. Kens’ garage had to fix their stuff ups. So 5 star to Kent’s garage. If I could give G and T auto 0 stars I would. PLEASE don’t go here they will cost you more money to try and fix their stuff ups they caused in the first place.

      Took my navara in to Mackay auto tech for a service. Car was perfectly fine before they did a service. Drove it home and now 2 weeks later I am still unable to drive it as it blows very thick smoke and I have absolutely no power nor acceleration. Do not recommend

      My son put his car in. $2350 to get fixed. He had it for 2 hours and it did the same thing. It has been another 2 months.. and still hasn’t got it back. They are saying it’s going to be at LEAST another $1800. Every time I ring, I get “ I can’t get a hold of the mechanic, I’ll ring you back” Of course they don’t call back. I also had to pay another $1000 deposit. No loan car either.

      Really friendly staff and reasonably priced. I’m not from Mackay, but I knew from the reviews that they were a good place to get the van serviced.

      Been getting my vw golf serviced by Steve and the team at Mackay Auto Tech for a couple of years now. The work is always done properly and professionally. They always offer a shuttle service so I can drop my car off before work and get picked up after when the work is completed. Most recently, I needed to have my water pump and connections replaced on my engine. Steve quoted me and ended up finishing the repair for less than the quote and sooner than expected. They also provided a free courtesy car for me while the work was getting done so I could get to and from work for those couple of days. I highly respect and recommend Steve and the team at MAT.
