Nice, well laid out nursery. It isn’t a large place but they have a pretty good selection at fairly reasonable prices. The staff are quite friendly and even assist with carrying things out to your car. There’s also a nice little cafe inside with really nice fun staff. I love visiting this place.

I really like this nursery but it really needs money spent on it with a update. The staff are great but the place is very old and not loved. If they spent a bit of money on it the place could be great.

Charmhaven have great service, they don’t harass you every minute yet if you need advice the are there to help. The certainly have the best plants, yeah sure they plants aren’t staring at you the prettiest or the loudest look at me style but I quarantee they will survive the harshest of summers because they aren’t been watered everyday which is what they want and need to build up being Drought tolerant. How many times do people go to the other big chain stores, buy plants and find the plants have dropped their standards and aren’t looking that pretty , half dead or dying , true , yes because they haven’t kept up the water EVERY SINGLE DAY, why because they are used to this and this is why they die. Common sense really but that’s why unfortunately people sell more than others because if greed not common sense. And if you ask the others any gardening C or plant care alot of the times they don’t know any knowledge about the topic. I have had shop assistant refer to a book or Google Apparently the is no called RESEARCH. What happened to the good old days of Studying at TAFE by reading you know Theory, practical work and exams, not bloody looking up Google. That’s not studying. Wear your plants off the water gradually, don’t water them every day and you’ll find in the long run you too will have big beautiful blousy plants just like the big major stores and you’ll even save money ?. So buy your plants if the smaller Nurseries and you’ll save money in the long run and also support you Local business.

Had excellent over and beyond advice and information from Annie yesterday. We needed advice about plants for our balcony and she was most helpful. Must have spent nearly an hour with us but still able to help others. And although we had intended to look before deciding thanks to her expertise we ended getting some very handsome plants. And thanks for prompt delivery about half an hour after we left. Thank you so much for a great introduction to Canberra

We went to Heritage nursery just to get ideas for our front yard landscaping. However we were served by Annie who was super knowledgeable, helpful and able to suggest plants that met our needs. Soooo impressed. We ended up buying all our plants and two new trees – planted everything today – looks fabulous. Thank you Annie – excellent service much appreciated.

addition – Christmas shopping in fabulous gift shop – thank you Sam and Oscar – exceptional customer service during very busy time. Great product range.

We popped in today looking at Japanese Maples. Staff were sooo incredibly helpful, gave us a great deal of assistance pick out the right tree, they even arranged deliver for the same day.

This nursery has a wonderful selection of plants and trees, but to me it was the service which shined!

This is our favourite nursery in Canberra. With a huge variety of quality plant and friendly customer service, I was never disappointed to visit them any time. Although the price of the plants are slightly higher than others, the quality is very good. Staff are generally euqipped with strong knowledge about their plants. Highly recommend.

Happy for the service and screened top soil delivery. The driver was like 65-70 years old. But super friendly, helpful and responsible truck driver.. Recommend this place than Donelleys,Cranbourne. Had the worst experiences at the service of Donnelleys for screen top soil.

I own and run a landscaping business located in Botanic Ridge with 90% of my work within 10km of this place and my recent experience reaffirms why I don’t used them. Paid for and purchased 1/4m of sand, waited 30min to be loaded only to find out they were loading others that arrived after me. They were gracious enough to give me a refund and I went else where to find the same product 15% cheaper and got loaded almost immediately. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for your garden supplies. I am more than happy to discuss this further.

Massive selection of plants to choose from, sadly the pricing isn’t displayed on most things. Also we specifically went here to look at and/or to pet the animals displayed in the Google photos (goats, chickens, piglets) but there’s no animals anymore, the staff told us they got rid of them because “they got too big” ??

Seven acres of lushness! Loved the juicy succulents and the rows and rows of cacti. What an a-may-zing place – such a well kept secret! Owner asked us along to see the baby pigs having a feed and there are chickens and so much more to see here than just browse the plants. Gorgeous setting in cloud misted hills. A lovely experience. Met the grower of the plants I chose…. that has immense value to me – and that just doesn’t happen at the big superstores. So, so lovely and satisfying to buy direct. Highly recommend!

Absolutely love this store. My go to for all my nursery plants and chicken food. Always friendly staff who remember the customers and are super helpful with carrying and loading the car. A great range of healthy plants that have the advantage of being hardened off in theur outside setting. Notice they always have the latest ‘fashionable’ plants before alot of other store which is great to see in person. Keep up the amazing work! See you next time!

Can’t recommend this nursery highly enough!!

Staff are knowledgeable, so helpful and very patient! As novice gardeners and lovers of native plants, the staff have helped us greatly with advice over the years. I now have a variety of plants in my garden which are thriving ? In particular, we love our everlastings which spring back to life every year.

Love visiting here and making a morning of it. So many plants to dream about taking home with us! There’s even a wonderful gift section with beautiful local wares.

This nursery was recommended to me by the Kings Park staff as a good spot for visiting retail customers looking for native plants. Somewhat annoying to get to, it is not native only but more of a garden center. Their tube stock is at the furthest point of the store. For some reason they use an annoying round format tubestock which does not do wonders for stability. The selection is quite good with around four large tables and perhaps 60-80 species in total. There are unfortunately many root-bound tubes. The nursery charges $4 per tube if you buy 9 or more, but cannot pack, ship or sometimes even provide boxes which greatly complicates purchase.

Devil’s ivy, also known as pothos, should be one of the first plants on your wish list when starting out on your indoor plant growing journey. Then there are collection-worthy varieties like variegated white and green ‘Marble Queen’ and lime green ‘Neon’ that definitely deserve a place in your indoor jungle.

Mappins has the best value versions of these! Large plants for around $30.

There’s no doubt Mappin’s has a great variety of plants, but out of all the nurseries and businesses I visit this is one I now avoid.

The two plants i’ve historically bought swarmed with pests the second day at home when I isolated them. When I asked for a refund or exchange, they said it was my fault and said I had to buy pest spray.

If it’s just advice on your beautiful new addition your looking for – then just google it. That’s exactly what they did in front of me when I had care questions about a Begonia.

I’ve never been pleased with their prices, either; compared to other sellers, they tend to be a bit more expensive. Save yourself the headache and pest problem, take your business to a seller who will have passionate conversations about your plants and value your patrionage.

Mappin’s really has everything you need!

Originally, I been to the Plant Bunker, but they didn’t have the type of pot I needed. The staff from Plant Bunker suggested I check this place out.

Went here on the 12th of December to pick out a pot. Shallow, deep, small or large, there is a pot for any size you need. They also sell bags of soil in 5kg, 10kg and more. They also have a huge collection of succulents (will definitely come back to revisit this in the future) and types of herbs. Oh, and they have a really neat collection of terrariums and aquarium stuff, like fish tanks and gravel and aquarium plants. Small selection of fish in tanks at the back. Staff there are really cheery and helpful. They always seem busy with tidying up the store, but they will happily help you out if you ask.

There is still the wall of baby-faced pots lol

Overall, a vast catalog of plants and plant pots + saucers. Really happy I visited^^

G world was so much fun I stayed way longer than intended. Stopping to smell the roses influenced the outcome as I tried almost every kind in search of the most fragrant. It was not crowded on this particular Thursday. It was warm and sunny making the casual wander around plants a pleasant experience. So much colour, texture and variety resulted in a distraction of monumental proportions leading to time passing unnoticed. Did buy some herbs in the end. With Lotus Water gardens shop, Collectors Corner and the G world cafe on the same acreage, Gardenworld is a fabulous place to check out for lone visitors, families or groups

In August 2022 I purchased a Camellia Debbie from Garden World. It was very expensive at $79.95.

I contacted Garden World in May this year to inform staff that I was disappointed that it had not grown, was hardly flowering and that side shoots were mere twigs, also that I had amended the soil very well prior to planting. That entire garden bed is healthy and well draining.

Different suggestions/ideas were put forward by Garden World, but no offer at all to refund or exchange.

15 months after purchase, today I dug it up. The roots are fine and have not developed. As suspected, I believe that this was not from healthy stock.

Over several years I had bought other healthy trees from this nursery, but this will be the last, not wasting my time to drive one hour.

Contrary to my usual practice I’ll let the bigger player have a greater share of the pie. Garden World has not taken care of this repeat customer.

My post-response comment- Correcting the assumption of the owner, clearly this was a photo of the plant above ground in a different part of my garden. I would not be that stupid to plant a camellia with no space to grow either side. Please give customers some credit!

Garden World is a must-do experience for the entire family – there is absolutely something for everyone here, and a couple of plants thrown in for good measure ? Collectors will also love this place, and the displays are utterly divine – so inspirational and diverse; you can almost feel your “brown thumb” turning green the longer you walk around ?

First off I had no idea how big this place is. It’s huuuge. We went with the family. The kids loved it.

It was easy to find, there is loads of car parking.

They have a huge selection of pot plants, succulents, outdoor plants, water features, pond stuff, bonsai things, pots, crystals etc and more.

The kids loved it because they had a couple of crystal sections where the kids could pick which they wanted, they also played with the dinosaur statues, magnetic stones and shells etc. (kids age 5 & 9).

There is also a great cafe for when you need a coffee hit.

      Will be going back!

Beautiful stop with a large range of plants and flowers to browse through. Friendly and helpful staff. Prices are high when not on special.

Absolutely stoked with the range and variety at Flower Power – there’s even a beautiful collection of hand made pots. Everything was well kept and healthy, I didn’t see a single gnat or bug hanging around. When I went to repott my small selection of plants, I noticed every single one had an earth worm or grub in the soil!! Can’t be happier with the quality or prices, definitely coming back for more ❤️‍?

Big thank you to Jeff who was extremely helpful in assisting me with an awesome selection of succulents after I showed him one picture, he understand my preference immediately: Knowledgeable, helpful and focus on detail. I’m totally obsessed with my new garden!

Great range of plants. Can not thank Robert enough. He was extremely knowledgeable, helping with our garden plans even walking them out to the shop where Paul assisted with the pots and soil. Only criticism is the price of our order.

Although I live in Melbourne, I ordered two planters online from Flower Power (SYD) (because I absolutely loved them) to be picked up on my next trip to Sydney and I was thoroughly disappointed (Attached are images of what I thought I ordered vs. what I received.).

The colour of both the planters didn’t match what was shown on their website. When asked if we could return it for a refund, they refused and were rude in the way they served us.

Definitely not coming back and wouldn’t recommend.
