Our choices as consumers are not just transactions; they are expressions of our values and ethical considerations. It’s a call for individuals to be mindful of the broader impact their choices can have on promoting responsible and ethical business practices.
In a global landscape where consumer choices carry substantial implications, several major corporations find themselves embroiled in sensitive situations with ethical and geopolitical dimensions.
From Hyundai and Mercedes Benz’s engagements in complex geopolitical environments to Rentalcars.com’s decisions, each case raises fundamental questions about the ramifications and responsibilities associated with consumer choices. Abstaining from supporting these entities through purchases, employment, or associations represents a form of conscientious objection, conveying a potent message while advocating for ethical and responsible corporate conduct. I love it when I get inside and have a bit of a walk around browsing the isles and looking at stuff I really don’t need. But the real fun, especially on the weekends around midday is watching the performance in the carpark. It never ceases to amaze me how many bad drivers there are that always seem to converge on this place around this time. You may as well do away with the arrows and parking lines and just make it a free for all on the weekends. But in all honesty I really do enjoy the total shopping experience here.

Very friendly staff members, attentive, and knowledgeable. Lots of DIY and building stuffs on stock with reasonable price. Also have sausage sizzle on weekends, and occasionally have other fund raising activities too. Parking spaces are plenty and covered too. Entrance is through Titirangi Rd, as well as Great North Road. If you want to buy trade, timbers, and big-size building materials it’s better though the Great North Road entry.

Helpful staff good pricing. The only gripe and it’s a very minor one is coming up from the underground carpark makes access to the ramp that gets you to the timber yard is a bit difficult. Thankfully no other cars or vehicles in the way today.

Went in to buy a fan. Was given the run around, led around the store on a wild goose chase. At the end, there was fans upstairs, but was told they will be bought down next week. On the website, it says in stock. The whole 3 staff members got in stock on their store phones. I will not be going back in a hurry.

As a Halloween fan I love to see what new goods Bunnings releases each year. This year I was so excited to see the door mats that were released in the eastern states but had not yet been released in SA. When I went in store for another item, I asked a team member about it and she took my name and number and told me that she’d let me know when they arrived – I didn’t think about it again until a phone call earlier this week from Lou to let me know they were in stock! Lou kindly popped two aside for me until I could make it there to pick them up. Lou went above and beyond to make the process smooth from her first contact to me leaving the store. She is an absolute gem and made my day with her customer service.

I know it’s just a Bunnings but honestly have never had a bad experience here. Rented a tile cutter which was faulty. When returning it they’d already called 2 different local stores to see if they had it free and put on hold on top of providing free coffees and cookies.

Bit better than the rest because it’s a shartload bigger than the rest. Actually has the items you want there at the time. Pleasant shock. Should be more of them. Example, new store at Murray Bridge feels smaller than the store it replaced. Could have made it bigger.

Wow loads of item here. Great staff and they know where all the items are if you ask them. Good service too. Closes at 9pm which is great since many people can get to go after office hours. Very big area and you can just go on and on checking whatever items or supplies you need. Many storage items and outdoor items too. The price is reasonable. So many parking spaces.

We bought a lot of plants for our gardens and 5×50 kilo bags of Osnicote potting mix.
We had to ask garden staff on many occasions for advice and they all obliged with very good advice on the plants that were best suited to the weather conditions where they are to be put in the ground. Bunnings are one of the only few who give you a 12month guarantee that the plants will survive and thrive and if they die in the 12month period Bunnings will either replace or refund your money. They’re good to deal with.

I absolutely love bunnings and always look forward to checking out what they have , but my last visit the checkout person made me go all the way to the back of the store to take a photo of the special tag to prove it was on special.
That to me was a ridiculous request when it seems someone either forgot to remove it or they didn’t change it on their system.
Very convenient to make a person with a artificial knee walk all that way and back, when a staff member should have done that as part of the service, especially when it was their special not mine?

I visited the Bunnings store in Balcatta on August 5th, 2023, to buy some gardening tools and supplies. I had a pleasant shopping experience until I reached the checkout desk. There, I encountered the worst customer service I have ever seen. The cashier Milli was rude, impatient, and incompetent. She ignored me when I greeted her, and she did not scan my items properly. She did not want to scan my flybys, and started making different noises. I was shocked and appalled by this cashier’s behavior. She treated me with disrespect and contempt, and she made me feel unwelcome. She showed no regard for her customers or her employer. She ruined my shopping experience and wasted my time and money. I would not recommend this store to anyone who values good customer service. This store needs to train its staff better and monitor their performance more closely.

Large hardware and gardening store. They have a tool shop and a large drive in trade area.
This store has a large outdoor furniture and bbq area and plant nursery outside.
My first visit as this is the only store that sells lamp shades. Easy to get to and park. Because of the app I found what I was looking for in the store quickly. I was in and out in 10 minutes. I took my pup for his first visit. But he was very overwhelmed.

I went today to buy an egg chair, as Bunnings Armadale seems the only store with the available stock. At the store I noticed the item box has a scribbled note “one missing bolt”. Friendly staff offered to take off $50 from the total price and took a set of bolts from their shelf for free! Furthermore their friendly and helpful staff Carla and Fin helped in taking apart the item from the box and helped me make them fit in my corolla hatchback. Yay! I don’t have to pay the delivery. This has happened twice in the last year that I asked for assistance at the entrance for bulbs (light) and no-one came at all. The first time I waited a very long time and asked someone to send someone again. This time I could not wait any longer (15mins). Also the staff at the self serve was not professional : talked to another staff at another counter (from that distance) of how the other one’s day was “shit”. Not professional at all.

Going to Bunnings and not getting a sausage on bread and a can of soft drink is like going to Disneyland and not looking at Mickey Mouse. If I ever win the lottery, I’m going to Bunnings to buy everything I want. If only the news agency would sell me the correct numbers.

Would give a million stars if I could, after not understanding the real size of our car my partner had to rush home and swap cars and I was stuck alone in the car park well after closing and two amazing souls stayed with me to keep me safe. The service was also amazing when I wasn’t outside with a giant box. Lots of love to this very compassionate team♥️ was too nervous to grab their names but I do really hope they get all the recognition they deserve♥️♥️♥️

Mostly Met with nice staffs. Anyway, this morning I met with wrong person who did not respond me when I said Good Morning, I didn’t know she was on her mobile (or RF scanner), so I said again “excuse me” but she responded highly tune “give me time”. I just said “Sorry/No problem” & left her (not young anymore woman).
Hopefully she understand code of conduct and willing to change her service better.
Anyway, you have lots many great and polite staffs.

I had the most amazing experience today. I’m disabled and not very mobile. I also have low muscle tone, so carrying things is difficult.
I went to the warehouse to buy some flat packed boxes. I needed 12 of them. Way too heavy to carry. I asked for assistance, and a very nice man, Tristan, helped me out. He helped locate the stock, put them on a trolley, wheeled the trolley to the front, and put them in the car.
100% satisfied with the service. I will definitely keep coming back for my DIY needs.
Thanks, Bunnings Brown’s Plains.

This is the best Bunnings I’ve visited, it’s absolutely huge! And I mean huge! I’m sure it has whatever you need, in fact there is too much choice which I don’t suppose is a bad thing for the consumer. I went in for garden tools and couldn’t make up my mind on what to buy as there was so much to choose from! The place was pretty busy but I managed to get through self checkout without queueing which was a bonus. I’ll be using this Bunnings as my go to whenever I need anything DIY or garden in the future.

The people working at this Bunnings are amazing. I wanted to do a DIY project and as I am very inexperienced so I had to ask millions of questions. Everyone was super friendly and took the time to understand what I wanted to do and give me advice. Being a young woman trying to build things can sometimes be very intimidating and I can say I didn’t feel judged at any time. Totally recommend coming here!

I mean who doesn’t want a sausage sizzle? I love how the staff here always know where everything is. Even the most obscure curtain hooks. One look, and they tell you “isle 7 half way down three shelves up, there’s some red things next to it.”
Damn.

Store visibility is good due to a good position on a busy road. Parking access is easy with two access points. The staff I found are helpful and friendly. There’s a large nursery area with a good quality selection of plants, shrubs and equipment. I received fast service at the café. It’s quite a busy branch.

This review isn’t so much about the store itself, but about my interaction with one of the staff members. Hubby and I are renovating our kitchen and we were looked after by Laura (in store). The sweetest, most knowledgeable person we’ve come across. She went above and beyond in explaining certain materials, the pros and cons and made us feel so much more confident going forward with certain design decisions.
We had our kaboodle consult the next day and it went extremely well, thanks to Laura’s advice and knowledge. She’s ahead of her time and is now my go-to person.

This is a review about an interaction between my mother, myself and a staff member from the paints department Michelle. We went there 31st August and just wanted to purchase some paint. Michelle approached the paints desk with such a terrible look on her face like she was being forced to work there. Maybe she was having a bad day, but it just gets worse. I told her what we were after and she said we need to purchase primer as well. I said oh no my dad said he didn’t need any primer. Well she got so defensive and said ‘Well my 10 years working in this department means nothing’. Then she pushed past me. We couldn’t believe it. Even then I tried to call out and and explain that we just didn’t want it, this had nothing to do with insulting her knowledge, but she just kept walking away.
I then went and spoke to Debbie one of the managers and she was very helpful and then asked Luke to help us with our order. He didn’t care that we didn’t want primer, he was great.
Debbie asked me to email her the details of this incident which I did the next day, but I never heard back.
I do hope Michelle received some kind of coaching about this incident, it was so unnecessary, and to push into me was really over the top.
Thank you absinthe to Luke for his great service.

I visited my local Bunnings store to replace a broken wood piece holding up part of my King size bed. There I was referred to Mr Tom, a mature gentleman which went above & beyond to assist with my request. To the point where he took the original piece of wood home to restore & make a new replacement as well. He told me to pick up the next day & that he would leave it at the counter as he finishes work by a certain time. I’m so grateful to have met generosity, kindness and a genuine employee in Mr Tom, I’m sure I will see him again very soon to thank him in person.

Staff was really polite – so many products & have recently added pet products.
Trying out a leash which we got for under $15 a few weeks ago, (good luck getting anything from a pet store for $15!) seems pretty good so far – will update on that.

The bunnings at greenarce is a local store that I used to go with my dad to find the lawn mover that we use for gardening at home. We went to the DIY workshop to do the Easter eggs activities that i did independently with the glue stick together onto the pieces of the egg activity. Nice sunny day to look at the garden flowers of cameilla that I like in my garden one day. Not far away from my house to bunnings. Reconsider going there again to do some more activity.

Would like to especially thank 2 lads in gardening (Daniel & I missed the other young man’s name). Exceptional customer service, I asked if I could get some help getting 48 bags potting mix, etc to my vehicle. Well these 2 guys brought my whole order to my vehicle & proceeded to load everything in for me. I generally find staff @ Lakehaven quite good but the help from these 2 legends was really appreciated. A+ Bunnings team members, thanks lads in case you ever read this!

Let me tell you, this place is a real lifesaver for us DIY enthusiasts in the Central Coast. When you’ve got a home improvement project on your plate, Bunnings Lake Haven is like an oasis in the desert!
They’ve got everything under the sun, from tools and hardware to gardening gear and paint supplies. You name it, they’ve got it, and it’s all top-notch quality.
But what really sets this Bunnings apart is the staff. They’re legends, always ready to lend a hand and share their know-how. It’s like having your own personal team of experts.
The store itself is well-organized, so you can find what you need without getting lost in the aisles. Plus, the sausage sizzles out front are an absolute ripper – can’t resist grabbing one on my way out!
So, whether you’re a seasoned DIY warrior or just getting started, Bunnings Lake Haven is the place to be. Swing by, grab your gear, and get ready to tackle those projects like a true blue Aussie. Cheers!

The staff is not helpful at all. The lady watering the plants was so rude and was clearly a racist person. At the checkout, I was struggling to lift some heavy things and 2 girls were just standing there and not offering to help or anything. I felt like people from the central coast do not accept other communities. They don’t seem like true Australians, Australia is a multicultural country. Everyone should be treated with respect as we are all humans. I was really disappointed yesterday and I’m never going to go back to the lake Haven Bunnings again.

Very nice stock levels..however when myself and brother went to purchase items at register my brother was asked to look in his bag . My Brother said no problem ..when he showed the inside of his bag there was an Empty monster drink can i had given him as there were no bins. I had bought drink at cafe in store …and explained to cashier ..than she continued as my brother had a water bottle ( coles brand water ) unopened ..a male staff had left his posting at door to come over to us as well. I asked would they like to see my proof of purchase ..he said no i walked out humiliated in front of waiting customers . My brother was left being quiestioned further about the drinks …not nessary when the person at the door checks bag ..we were asked before i even finished tapping to pay ..never going here again

I have been to many bunnings over the years, and for the first time ever we had an older gentleman in the tool section spend time with us to give us experienced advice. We were very grateful. Bunnings need to hire more people like this, instead of those who run away from customers.
Huge bunnings with lots of variety, a great parking area, and plenty to choose from.
Majority of the staff are lovely, but there was a young staff member looking at his phone and when we asked where something was, he kept looking at his phone and mumbled as to where he thought it was. The item was not there and we had to get help from another staff member.

Excellent service
I bought combination padlocks for my suitcases.
I didn’t know how to set them and I was very nervous about that.
The lady at the pay counter on 17/3/23 night took extra time to set them for me.
I was impressed with her patience and effort to settle my fears and anxiety.
She was great.

Today, we received the best customer service that we have ever had at any bunnings store! I don’t even know what department Jen works in, because she helped us with everything! We are doing a renovation of our business premises. Jen went out of her way to answer our many questions and follow-up with other stores to see if there were any returned custom kitchens that would suit our needs. Jen also searched on all the shelves, in a few different departments, as well as out the back. We left with more knowledge, ideas and all the correct brochures to help plan for our project. What an amazing experience! Jen, you deserve a medal. ???
