How to Shop Like a Local at Aldi in Kalgoorlie

Shopping at Aldi in Australia can be a great way to save money on groceries and household items. However, it may be a bit different from shopping at other supermarkets. Here are some tips and tricks to make your Aldi shopping experience a success:

    • Bring a quarter: In Australia, as in other countries where Aldi operates, you will need a quarter coin or a 2-dollar coin to unlock a shopping cart. Don’t worry though, you’ll get your coin back when you return the cart.
    • Bring your own bags: Aldi does not provide free bags; you can either bring your own reusable bags or purchase them at the store. It’s a good idea to keep some bags in your car or carry a foldable one in your bag in case you make an impromptu visit to Aldi.
    • Use the middle aisle wisely: Aldi is known for its middle aisle, which offers a rotating selection of special buys. Take some time to browse through this aisle as you might find great deals on anything from clothing to kitchen gadgets.
    • Check the labels: Aldi offers a variety of products, including many of its own private labels. Be sure to check the labels and compare with other brands if necessary. You may find that Aldi’s private label products are just as good, if not better, than other well-known brands.
    • Plan your trip: Aldi stores in Australia often have limited opening hours, so it’s a good idea to plan your trip in advance. Check the opening hours of your local Aldi and try to go at a less busy time to avoid long queues.
    • Have a shopping list: It’s easy to get carried away when shopping at Aldi due to the low prices and tempting products. To avoid unnecessary purchases, make a shopping list beforehand and stick to it as much as possible.

Shopping at Aldi can be a fun and rewarding experience if you know what to expect. By following these tips and tricks, you can make the most out of your Aldi shopping trips and save money on your grocery bills.

What a joke. At ALDI Armadale today, 12 people in the queue with full trolleys and only one checkout open. I dumped my goods and left as I had limited time in my lunch break. It would have been quicker to go elsewhere. Seriously ALDI…when are you going to learn.

Good store on the smaller side compared to others and has no liquor area. It’s conveniently placed inside the shopping centre close to Jamaica blue entrance.
I do find this kne quite busy and often the special sale items sell quick.

The customer service at this store is appalling. Checkout operater was very rude to an elderly lady who was charged for nectarines she did not have in her shopping. The checkout operator basically treated the woman as a thief even though the lady emptied her bag and lo and behold…no nectarines.
Very bad customer service and hugely disrespectful

I’ve never seen a supermarket which constitantly has empty or near empty shelves, Mondays are by far the worst and the problem is not the staff but I believe upper management not allowing store managers to employ sufficient staff to stock the shelves, unfortunately Woolworths aren’t much better. I guess it the standard we are forced to accept.

First time at Raging Waters an easy 40 min drive from the southern suburbs. We chose to go on the Easter long weekend which meant shorter wait times, excellent parking (which you pay for) and a great day! It felt like more slides than Jamberoo. The different towers were easy to locate and it was a short walking distance between each tower and each ride providing a good thrill! Great seating available at each tower to watch and wait for other family and friends and awesome grassed areas to chill at lunch. Staff were all friendly and helpful. With the 2 person rides you had to carry the tube up the stairs which was tricky but manageable. Some of the rides could do with some maintenance with leaks and rusted bracketing holding the pipe work which didn’t help the nerves when walking up the stairs but all in all we all had a fantastic time and we’ll probably return with a bigger group next time but wouldn’t be keen to go in its peak season!

It’s reasonably priced for a theme park, the place is well-staffed and maintained for most of the part. There are lots of shades and areas for rest. Popular rides can have a long wait and the lack of proper shower facilities keeps it from being a five-star.

Awesome place for kids and family, highly recommended. A friend have a yearly pass for the whole family of 4 people so we just came along. It would be great if opening after school hours during week days so that kids can come here for little fun before doing their homework and dinner or just go for a swim but under the safety, staffing and costs to open. My niece so much enjoy it, she had a fun time here coz in New Zealand (Auckland) doesn’t it. Great living in Oz land ?

Fun time with the whole family especially with young kids. Splash and ride the water slides, catch waves and swim in pools. Plenty of car space. Two complaints I have is the long wait for the big rides and food prices but still a great theme park to visit.

My first visit to this place and I think we picked a good day to do it. Smaller crowds due to an overcast day which kept the wait times down. Some of the rides need more staff as this will surely bring the wait times down on all rides. Food was the usual expensive fast fare but the cost for the unlimited slushys were my kids favourite. As we brought a season pass we will be back, so we will see how busy this place can get

    • Price competitiveness: Supermarkets like Coles often run promotions and offer discounted prices, making it more affordable for customers to shop for groceries. Coles also has a loyalty program, providing additional savings and benefits for its customers.
    • Accessibility: Coles stores are present in various locations, including urban and suburban areas, making it easily accessible for most shoppers. They also offer extended operating hours, providing flexibility for customers to shop at their preferred time.
    • Online shopping: Coles provides an online shopping platform, allowing customers to conveniently order their groceries from the comfort of their homes. This can be beneficial for individuals who prefer to avoid crowded spaces or have difficulty physically visiting the store.
    • Product variety: Coles offers a wide range of products, including international and specialty items, giving shoppers a diverse selection to choose from. This can be particularly advantageous for customers seeking specific ingredients or exploring new flavors.

On the other hand, traditional markets also have their own set of advantages and disadvantages:

    • Freshness: Traditional markets often pride themselves on offering fresh and locally sourced produce. Shoppers can find a variety of fruits, vegetables, seafood, and meat that are often sourced directly from farmers or fishermen. This can be particularly appealing for individuals who prioritize high-quality and organic products.
    • Social interaction: Traditional markets provide an opportunity for shoppers to interact with local vendors and build personal connections. It allows customers to ask questions, receive recommendations, and learn more about the origin and production practices of the products they are purchasing.
    • Potential for haggling: In traditional markets, there is often room for negotiation and haggling over prices. Shoppers can try to get a better deal by leveraging their bargaining skills, potentially leading to additional savings.
    • Cultural experience: Traditional markets offer a unique cultural experience, with vibrant displays of local products and flavors. They can provide a sense of authenticity and a glimpse into the local traditions and customs of the community.
    • Availability: Traditional markets may have limitations in terms of product availability, especially when it comes to specialty or international items. They may also have limited operating hours and be located in more specific areas, requiring additional time and effort to access for some customers.

Ultimately, the decision between Coles and traditional markets depends on your personal preferences, priorities, and circumstances. Consider factors such as convenience, price, product variety, freshness, social interaction, and cultural experience to make an informed choice that best suits your needs.

This is a well set out supermarket. It has a good bread section with lots of options. They also have a self serve lolly area where you dish up your own stuff, weigh it then pay at the front. Good selection of fruit and vegetables as well.

Avoid this, and all Coles. Recently their ethics have been found wanting, offering deals to get you to order, which are obviously out of stock, then only supplying the full priced items. Never allow them to substitute items when ordering online. Don’t trust their click and connect. SMS messages can’t get thru, emails ignored. I am boycotting them.

I don’t know why this coles branch is offering burnt bread to customers. Is something wrong with you bread machine. Please don’t customers by hiding the burnt sides of the breads.

Cheaper than Woolworths Hermit Park and the staff actually smile at you. A much better range of products and fresher than the aforementioned. I’d give more stars if the prices didn’t go up drastically during the Covid outbreak and the war and went back to normal after.

What has happened to Coles Hot Cross Buns? Did someone forget to put the fruit in them?
I get fed up with buying items that I like and finding some bean counters have ruined them. I purchased Coles hot cross buns because they were my favourite out of all the ones I had tried. They were the best in Townsville in my opinion…… because they had fruit in them.
I don’t want to spend my money on rubbish!

Dietitian or Nutritionist: Who to Consult for Your Nutritional Needs?

“Dietitian” and “nutritionist” are often used interchangeably, but there are some key differences between the two, mainly concerning their qualifications and legal restrictions on the terms:

    1. Dietitian: Dietitians are registered professionals who have met specific academic and professional requirements, including earning a bachelor’s degree with approved course work, completing an accredited, supervised practice program, passing a national examination, and completing ongoing continuing professional educational requirements to maintain registration. They are regulated by law and ethical codes, which means they’re held to the highest standard of nutrition services. Dietitians can work in various settings, like hospitals, public health clinics, sports organizations, and more. They can prescribe dietary treatments for many conditions such as diabetes, food allergies, or kidney disease.
    2. Nutritionist: The term “nutritionist” is not regulated, which means anyone can call themselves a nutritionist, regardless of their level of training or education. Some nutritionists may have advanced degrees and abundant experience, while others may have minimal formal training. In some areas, nutritionists can become “certified nutrition specialists,” which requires a higher level of education and expertise. They generally provide information about food and healthy eating, but they may not be qualified to prescribe specific dietary treatments for medical conditions.

Always check the credentials of anyone who provides advice on nutrition, especially if you have specific dietary needs due to a medical condition. In many cases, a dietitian is a safer choice due to their regulated status and extensive training.

I use the Sleep Aid Gummies for lower back pain for pain & inflammation and to get a better, deeper sleep.
When I come off of night shift I take just the one to fall into a deeper sleep without waking up feeling groggy. But if I get lower back pain I take 2 gummies to ease the pain & to get a more comfortable sleep.
I can’t believe how well they work!

How to Shop Like a Local at Aldi in Caboolture
