      Maho Magic Bar was such a great experience ?. If you purchase an additional trick, go for the prison break one, it was the most complex and entertaining one. Music during the magic tricks drowned out the magicians while they talked. I look forward to seeing them again with new tricks.

      There were so many hotels, snack items and bakeries available in this lane. During the nights the lights are amazing. The view would give you the cinema effect. The cheesecake taste was extremely good in this area. Try having different items in different restaurants.

      We visited Chinatown Melbourne on the 18th of September 2023. It’s lined up many Chinese eateries, and there is a museum you could visit to learn the early days when the Chinese migrate to Melbourne.

      This place is certainly an interesting and moving place to visit. I went a few years ago and was quite underwhelmed by it. Now , following a number of improvements it has much to offer. The audio guide certainly helps to make it a more absorbing visit. You need to stand at specific areas to hear it and sometimes I lost the signal but soon picked it up again. This museum is certainly an asset to Sydney and it is free to enter

      Was better than expected. Free entry for all. We did the kids guided tour with activity book included for the children. Both adult and child enjoyed the tour very much. Place was well set up and information was detailed.

      We went there spontaneously and is was amazing!! There’s a free audio guide wich plays different story’s in each room. Everyone gets their own headset so you can do it at your own pace. Super interesting and would definitely recommend it.

      Amazing free Sydney museum located in heart of city, Adults and kids self guided audio tour provided that auto plays as you walk into different rooms. Learnt about early convicts and settlers life in Sydney. Also learnt more about the conflicts to aboriginal life.

      Go visit if you have 1hr spare to learn about our city.

      Need approximately 1.5h to go through the exhibits, more if you wish to spend more time looking at each in detail. This last entry is 1.5h prior to closing!

      Good collection of history of First Nation peoples, many whom were prisoners, and orphans. Some space dedicated to Sydney opera house too.

      Service: Self guided tour with audio guide. Audio guide has location tracking that will change narration based on which exhibit you’re looking at.

      Crowd: Not a lot of crowd in weekday just before close!

      Payment: Free entry, which is great.

      We expected more from the medieval castle, It was a shame that most of the medieval exhibits were closed due to disrepair. The toy shop & doll display were open for viewing, that’s the castles main focus currently. Sadly we weren’t here long at all. I do hope it’s restored to its former glory. I’d love to check it out fully one day… fingers crossed ?

      We have been here over the last 19 years. We used to go into the Castle to explore the dolls and rooftop. We did the self-guided tour with the kids and still enjoyed it. The staff are always friendly and helpful.

      Drive out to East Point to the Darwin military museum. It is a wonderful exhibit and history lesson. The drive out to East Point is really scenic and there’s a lot of places to stop and take photographs or enjoy a picnic lunch. The museum is worth the visit. It is very educational and the exhibits and recreation of the bombing of Darwin from historic photographs into a film is incredible. Highly recommend.

      So much to see in this place. The grounds go on forever with lots of great informative displays. Inside was WW2 info including a really good movie on the bombing of Darwin. Worth a visit

      Today I took my 11 year old grandson to the DMM he said it has been his best day ever. Temp is 38′ ? however we went through every exhibition and he read most (time permitting) of the information that he could. I personally believe our young ones learn as much as they can about the history of war and Australia’s part in the hope that history does not repeat itself.

      Well worth a look. Guided tours would be an advantage (if there was it wasn’t offered) and give the displays a good dusting. Educate the front desk staff what a veterans pension card is as both of them didn’t know. Presented mine and at first it was refused as they said it wasn’t a pension card. After showing them the smaller writing on the back (Vet affairs) was accepted

      Awesome place to stop.on your way through Coffs Harbour. The miniature Dutch village is pretty cool with some delicious food options in the Cafe next-door. Make sure you time you visit around 10:00 or 2:00 so you can watch the clog making demonstration as it is surprisingly educational and a lot of fun. Definitely don’t drive past this place, it’s right on the main road through Coffs ?

      Such a hidden gem!! I’ve visited a few times (not staying overnight, just visiting) and absolutely love this place. Dutch souvenirs galore, the miniature replicas of famous Dutch buildings is SO well done (happy that they have the Martinitoren!!) and the fella that’s been at the checkout each time is so friendly and always up for a chat. In the cafe they have a nice menu but they also have Dutch groceries!! We stock up on curry sauce and Pickwick tea each time we drive through Coffs. A little slice of Holland, love it!!

      The 3 shop front looks cute and it’s a nice photo op with the giant clogs. The miniature villiage is the cutest especially with Thomas the Tank Engine going around one section. It’s nice there’s a variety and quite a number of miniature villages, castles etc to look at. Would be good if there was more miniature trees or flowers surrounding the miniature buildings or tiny fish in the waterways. Prices for souvenirs are pricey. Paid $10 for clog fridge magnet. The caravan park to the right is a bit of an eyesore.

      I had to comment on the rooms, but we didn’t stay in the rooms, but on a camp-site. However, the amineties were spotless. Big kudos to the cleaners. Restaurant was delicious and the little creek behind the restaurant had lots of live in it for entertainment. Shops at walking distance, beach and creeks minutes drive away with easy parking. We would stay again.

I think around 1.5hrs drive from Sydney but well equipped with all the amenities. We were not able to roam around much due to hail storm but would definitely like to go again.

    Lismore is a city located in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia and the main population centre in the City of Lismore local government area, it is also a regional centre in the Northern Rivers region of the state. Lismore is 734 km (456 mi) north of Sydney and 200 km (120 mi) south of Brisbane. It is situated on a low floodplain on the banks of the Wilsons River near the latter's junction with Leycester Creek, both tributaries of the Richmond River which enters the Pacific Ocean at Ballina, 30 km (19 mi) to the east. The original settlement initially developed as a grazing property in the 1840s, then became a timber and agricultural town and inland port based around substantial river traffic, which prior to the development of the road and rail networks was the principal means of transportation in the region. Use of the river for transport declined and then ceased around the mid-twentieth century, however by that time Lismore (which was elevated to city status in 1946) had become well established as the largest urban centre in the region, providing its surrounding area with a range of services. The city is also located on the Bruxner Highway which crosses the Wilsons River at Lismore, and was formerly a stop on the Casino-Murwillumbah railway line. It is the home of one of the three campuses of Southern Cross University. So problably not your choice, I really should rewrite this like the flood is re-writing Lismore. Log, you are always there for us as the waters recede, waiting silently for locals to return for a VB or a bong – your only visitors.       It’s a bit bizzare. In 1968 this gigantic cedar log was donated to the Lismore City Council, and I guess they liked it so much that they decided to make a monument out of it. They even built it a little roof.

      There are picnic tables and bins around it, and it is generally well maintained.

      Botanic Park is a lovely place with beautiful green surroundings and it’s very peaceful there. You have to pay to get in, and the passes are given out by the Forest Research Institute. The prices for the passes are reasonable.

      The park has some small huts, fireplaces for cooking, a playground for kids, and a public bathroom that’s currently closed. The playground is not very safe for children, so be careful. You should also watch out for snakes and spiders in the area.

      Despite these issues, I think Botanic Park is a great place to visit, especially since it’s a calm and natural spot in the middle of the city. I recommend it for anyone who wants an affordable place to have a picnic or relax, but keep in mind the downsides.
