      I love the place and great staff. Just a bit of feedback though, if the prices keep going up for example $10 or more for a toastie, you should at the very least be putting more than one slice of ham on a Ham cheese and tomato toastie.

      Arrogant young girls staff… when I asked twice for 3/4 strength cappuccino they gave me sarcastic look. When I got my coffee it was flat white 3/4 full. I asked why it’s not full she answered very rude that I asked for it. I said I asked twice for 3/4 strength, she rudely asked do u want refund or remake it… I asked to remake. When my coffee was ready I said thank you, but she just ignored and didn’t even turn her head to me. Disgusting behaviour. Was disappointed as a tourist. Shame on you, girl!

      Love this local Main Beach Bakery and their fabulous pies, croissants, bread and cakes. They also run a Loyalty Program, so every 8th pie you purchase you get it free. Best time of year to grab a pie. Staff are super friendly.

      We had to try Stefano’s Cafe as we heard so much about it when it was reviewed in the The Good Food Guide Mildura. Amazing coffee and we could have had another- yum!!

      Not bad presentation of the pancakes with delicious lemon curd by Mildura standards. Nothing could fault the pancakes but what a miserable plate of fruit with a few grapes and melon pieces for a hot price of $18!!

      Sadly, can’t say much the rude customer service and mistakes made on the orders, especially on a quiet morning. I’d give the service a straight out 0.

      After thought: Was surprised to find out that Stefano sold the cafe and it’s under a different management using his brand name. Pity!

      Lunch at Stefanos.

      The ambiente imitates an Italian eatery as perceived as such in Australia. A good standard.

      We ordered 4 dishes. Mushroom burger is ok, but not exciting good. I would notice that a sharper knife for the burger should be offered. It is common, though, to get a standard cutting knife everywhere. Chips, together with the burger, resemble a classic Burger Chips dish. There’s nothing wrong with that. And the chips were well fried, thick and maybe not from the bag?

      Suacage pasta was tasty, missing maybe some pepper, spicyness.

      Gnocchi with Stefanos sauce was ok. The Gnocchi were massive. I would prefer them a bit lighter in texture and fresher in the arrangement. Red sauce with parsley topped with a bit of cheese, it is ok, but heavier as wished for a lunch dish.

      I cried when there was no Osso Bucco available!

      The steamed vege was nicely glazed,green zucchini, Brussel sprouts, and broccolinis. Ok, good! A good choice for a side dish.

      The service was a bit strange. We have been asked to sit on a table for six. Then suddenly the manager? Asked if we were waiting for anyone else. On our answer, she did not even reply. She just turned away and continued her work. We have noticed her being rude to other staff. Not rude but abrupt. Do not do that in front of your customers! A manager must be the friendliness personified.

      Not offered the wine list, even after I started looking on the displayed wines. Why?

      Overall, I had higher expectations. It’s a good restaurant, but it can do it much better. Improve the organisation, train your staff to be polite besides being “stylish” and with “attitude”. And play a bit more with the dishes. Do not forget your wine list!

      Last moment addition… desert practically not existing. The pantry displayed mass-produced flourless “persian” tart, lemon curd, and a few almond croissants. These are not deserts!

      A cheese platter is always a good option during a break when there are fewer selections for your lunch meals.

      Fusion courses on the menu are unique to serve customers in Mildura. Have a try when dining in at this cafe. Never disappointing during meals time. Excellent customer service. You can also buy some products from here: wines, cheese, homemade sauces, or dipping sauces.

      These guys do quality food. The egg and bacon rolls are made right in front of you. I also had a spinnich and ricotta roll , it tasted like home made and was delicious. Atmosphere is fairly laid back. We had to wait , but it was worth it. Prices are pretty reasonable.

      Stopped here on a Sunday afternoon. Excellent service. Large and tasty pies. Walked in wondering if they had neenish tarts, they certainly did and they were huge and tasty. Grabbed a table out the front and enjoyed our late lunch.

      They have never done me wrong, in regards to their service. The staff are always friendly and chatty.

      Massive fan of the way they make their coffee. I have yet to experience that “burnt” taste and they’re always made at the perfect temperature and strength.

      Their pies are delicious and they have one of the best sausage rolls out there.

      Big fan of the french vanilla slice and also of their florentines.

      Service at this place atrocious. Had my order substituted without even bothering to check with the customer and all the guy on the phone could do to answer to it was “um..”.. “aahhh”. A: Train your staff better and B: If all you have is pre packaged goods that you run out of, make updates to show your stock levels or at least communicate properly. Won’t be returning, strongly advise against going there.

      Close to Frankston High school, I bought a beef and vegetable pastie, which I ate on the seat outside. Just after 12 noon, scores of people were going inside, many leaving the bakery with multiple bags of hot food and cakes. I can understand. My pastie was delightful. This is one bakery I will be returning to often.

      Took the family out over the Christmas break and the service was like most places that was busy. Ordered breakfast and coffees. Water came out first, then the food. Halfway through the food the glasses arrived for the water half way through the meal and as we finished our last bite the coffees arrived. Meal was tasty and good size. I would recommend slicing the sourdough toast into half its thickness or get sharper knives. Good value for money.

      Very disappointing experience. Customer service is non-existent. When i walked in, the first challenge was finding a clean table…. The majority of the tables were covered in dirty dishes from previous customers. No table service….. even for a coffee, you get a buzzer. Staff not engaged and looked as keen to get out of there as I was. Pitty as it’s a lovely venue and has so much potential.

      I was there for over a hour and not once did any member of staff bother to come and clean up any of the putrid tables. Beyond poor.

      There are sooo many better cafe options in Orange, so give this one a miss.

      I had travelled from Coonamble, the big breakfast was wonderful but I have to mention Joe who served me. His attention to detail was wonderful & as I sat there eating, he mopped the floor after each customer left to remove crumbs etc. The Bakery was spotless & he kept it that way. He got one of the staff to turn on the A/C about 11.15am as it was getting warm. I just had to write this review to acknowledge the wonderful employee that he is..       We were a couple of bogans on their to Summernats who called in early one morning for a pie, coffee and a snot block (custard slice). The best damn pies and snot blocks in the central west.

      Pastry is amazing. Really French stile ecler and very testy. Coffee is good as well, so no need to overpay to local fancy cafes, like Grapevine.

      This morning, I visited PK’s Bakery with the intention of enjoying a long black coffee. Unfortunately, my experience was unsatisfactory. The barista failed to load fresh coffee into the portafilter, and when I requested cold water for my coffee, he used water from a previously used bottle in the fridge, which was quite disappointing.
