Beautiful family park, safe and clean but too many mosquitoes, recommend spraying insect repellent when walking around the park. There’s the orchid garden to visit that has a koi pond with orange koi fish; butterfly garden with butterflies growing from their cacoons; family of deers, different species of birds, all a learning adventure for everyone

Great place. There were some variety of Bird if Paradise and some other birds too. But the Bird of Paradise is something very unique and I haven’t seen it in any other country. There were some Walleybies that look like some smaller versions of Kangaroo and there were some other animals too. Also tehre were variety of plants and trees.

It’s great to have such places like Adventure Park where we can take our families and friends out during weekends & holidays. They have fun activities such as paddling in the pond, fishing, water slide, mary go round, dinausar park, beautiful orhid gardens & they used to have crocodile show (not sure if they still do) & train rides. There’s options for venue hire as well. Remember to bring mosquito repellent with you when planning to visit & fishing strings/rod if you plan to fish in the pond.

Great tramp Park with lots of room and friendly staff. Some of the tramps could do with an upgrade as they have lost their bounce, but that may be an expensive undertaking. Overall, it is a great place for kids to exert energy and parents to join in or have a coffee and relax.

Sgt. Major Meynell Strathmore Blomfield (18 July 1908 – 29 June 1971); also known as Lofty was a New Zealand professional wrestler, also known by another ring name; that of Walter Browning. ,Lofty was arguably the country's most popular wrestler during the 1930s and 40s. He competed primarily for promoter Walter Miller and the Dominion Wrestling Union for nearly 20 years where he defended the NWA New Zealand Heavyweight Championship against many of the top stars of the National Wrestling Association from 1936 until his retirement 1949. He is credited for inventing "The Octopus Clamp", an early version of the Scorpion Deathlock, and is the longest reigning heavyweight champion in the history of professional wrestling in New Zealand.
In addition to the national title, Blomfield also held the NWA British Empire/Commonwealth Championship and the NWA Australasian Heavyweight Championship. In 1938, he became the first New Zealander to wrestle for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship when he fought then champion Bronko Nagurski to a time-limit draw. He also had a successful amateur career winning the Auckland and New Zealand heavyweight titles prior to becoming a professional wrestler. Blomfield wrestled 490 matches in New Zealand and an estimated 1,200 matches in New Zealand, Australia, Fiji, Mexico, Canada and the United States between 1929 and 1949.
Blomfield became a successful hotelier in the years after his retirement, as Publican of the Whangarei Hotel, as well as being a noted sportsman. He was a member of the Whangarei Deep Sea Anglers Club, a founding member of both the Northland Trotting Club, the Whangarei Powerboat Association, and sponsored countless athletic organisations in Whangarei and Northland, most notably, Whangarei Inter-house rugby. He was also involved in numerous charity fundraisers and organizations, especially those involving mentally handicapped children, and served as president of the Intellectually Handicapped Children's Association. He later founded the Northland IHC and the Blomfield Special School and Resource Centre in Whangarei, the latter institution being named in his honour.
In 1990, Blomfield was officially inducted into the New Zealand Sports Hall of Fame. He is the first and only wrestler, amateur or professional, to be an inductee. He was also profiled in the Dictionary of New Zealand Biography and featured in a special editorial by the Northern Advocate in 1999. In 2009, Blomfield was named one of the "Top Ten New Zealand Born Wrestlers" by Fight Times Magazine and ranked #1 of the country's top ten favourite wrestlers by The New Zealand Herald.

Fun for all ages I did not find any ? though

Flipout is a trampoline park chain that has locations all over the world. They offer a variety of activities, including trampoline dodgeball, basketball, slam dunk zones, foam pits, and more. They also have a soft play area for younger children.

I recently visited the Flipout trampoline park in Whangarei, New Zealand, with my family. We had a great time! The staff were friendly and helpful, and the facilities were clean and well-maintained.

We spent about 2 hours at Flipout, and it was the perfect amount of time for us. We were all tired but happy by the end!

Overall, I would highly recommend Flipout to anyone looking for a fun and active activity for the whole family.

Here are some pros and cons of Flipout trampoline park:

      Pros:

Clean and well-maintained facilities Friendly and helpful staff Variety of activities to choose from Perfect for all ages Cons:

Can be crowded during peak times Prices can be a bit high Some activities may be too challenging for younger children Overall, I would give Flipout trampoline park a 4 out of 5 stars. It’s a great place to have fun and get some exercise!

Here are some tips for visiting Flipout trampoline park:

Book your tickets in advance, especially if you’re visiting during peak times. Wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty. Bring water and snacks, as there is no food or drink sold inside the park. Be aware of the safety rules and regulations. Have fun!

Napier ( NAY-pee-ər; Māori: Ahuriri) is a city on the eastern coast of the North Island of New Zealand and the seat of the Hawke's Bay region. It is a beachside city with a seaport, known for its sunny climate, esplanade lined with Norfolk pines, and extensive Art Deco architecture. Napier is sometimes referred to as the "Nice of the Pacific", although that is largely outdated and a more common nickname is 'The Art Deco Capital of the world'.
The population of Napier is about 67,500 as of June 2023. About 18 km (11 mi) south of Napier is the inland city of Hastings. These two neighbouring cities are often called "The Bay Cities" or "The Twin Cities" of New Zealand, with the two cities and the surrounding towns of Havelock North and Clive having a combined population of 136,290. The City of Napier has a land area of 106 km2 (41 sq mi) and a population density of 540.0 per square kilometre.
Napier is the nexus of the largest wool centre in the Southern Hemisphere, and it has the primary export seaport for northeastern New Zealand – which is the largest producer of apples, pears, and stone fruit in New Zealand. The Hawke's Bay wine region is now the second largest in New Zealand after Marlborough, and grapes grown around Hastings and Napier are sent through the Port of Napier for export. Large amounts of sheep's wool, frozen meat, wood pulp, and timber also pass through Napier annually for export. Smaller amounts of these materials are shipped via road and railway to the large metropolitan areas of New Zealand itself, such as Auckland, Wellington and Hamilton.
Napier is a popular tourist city, with a unique concentration of 1930s Art Deco, and to a lesser extent Spanish Mission, architecture, built after much of the city was razed in the 1931 Hawke's Bay earthquake. It also has one of the most photographed tourist attractions in the country, a statue of the figure in local Ngāti Kahungunu mythology, Pania, on Marine Parade, Pania of the Reef. Thousands of people flock to Napier every February for the Tremains Art Deco Weekend event, a celebration of its Art Deco heritage and history. Other notable tourist events attracting many outsiders to the region annually include F.A.W.C! Food and Wine Classic events, and the Mission Estate Concert at Mission Estate Winery in the suburb of Taradale.

Cool park for the kids, parking was on the smaller side so had to park on the street. The small kids slide is made from stainless and in direct sunlight, thus steaming hot, so not the best design there. Other than that, lots of things for the kids to play on and a nice beach with lots of rock pools and crabs.

Great extension to the existing park. Plenty of adventure and creativity equipment to entertain and keep the kids happy for hours. Also a central water feature to help cool down on those hot summers days. Plenty of areas to climb and swing with a junior and senior play area. Also, caters for some children activities for spacially challenged children. This means younger children can play more freely without getting hurt. Come and let the kids explore. New toilets have been added close to the park.

Outstanding. This is waaay more than what I expected. One of the best playgrounds I’ve ever been to (live on Waiheke Island and like to travel) the water activities the slides the adventure items. Exceptional. If it sounds like I’m raving it’s just because it is that good. If I could give another star I would. If this was in Auckland there would be a $10+ entry fee per kid. Love your work Palmy

Popular Park with kids and folks. And for good reason. There’s so much variety. Including a water play area, slides of different kids, clean toilets, a duck pond and you also get to see white doves.

Even more fantastic in the summer. Lots of water play.

Haven’t visited the playground at Memorial Park since its upgrade and was very impressed with the facilities. Its colourful, the splash pads are great, and so are the climbing apparatuses. I particularly liked the surfaces and seating undr the trees. The girls had a wonderful time exploring and it’s on our to do list for next week.
