      We were looking for somewhere to eat when we stumbled across this Indian curry house. Small restaurant, very quiet. Easy parking in a good location. I ordered Palak Paneer and OMG it was the best I’ve ever had! The Mango Lassi was delicious also. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for good quality Indian food.

      Curry in a hurry is a cool spot to grab a bite when you’re on a road trip and need a food break. We tried all their curries, and let me tell you, their butter chicken is hands down the best I’ve had in Australia. They offer a restricted, but nice, variety of curry options, and their freshly made naan bread from the tandoori oven is on point.

      Goody (I hope I got the name right) is an amazing cook and treated us like a caring Indian mother. We felt totally spoiled. We’ve been back a few times already and will definitely swing by whenever we’re near Golbourn.

      Don’t let the restaurant’s appearance fool you, the food is seriously delicious. The friendly lady serving will take great care of you. Give it a shot, you won’t regret it.

      I was driving back to Sydney after a short vacation with my family and decided to grab some lunch at Goulburn and found this gem of a place. The restaurant retained the flavours and food tasted authentic. We loved the food so much that we ended up doing a take away as well.

      Butter chicken is a must try

      Potatoes and Peas curry is mouth watering.

      I also had the opportunity to speak to the owner and heard about his journey in Australia and how much he enjoys what he does.

      Food was good however all three of our dishes were made of same gravey -malai kofta, shahi paneer and kadai paneer. If we ordered just one of them, it would be a 4 star.

      There were mix reviews about the place still I decided to give it a try. As I drove from Bicheno and reached the town by 9pm, pretty much verything was closed except for the fast food chains.

      I ordered Lamb Rogan Josh, Garlic Naan, and Naan. To my surprise, I had to buy rice separately but that was on me because in US, we get complimentary rice. Anyway, I lliked the curry and lamb was properly cooked. All in all, the food that I tried was good but cannot speak for other dishes by other customers. I am a traeveller and have been to 16 different countris (excluding US and India where I live) and my review is 100% honest and transparent.

      The place was good and I have attached some pictures for others to see. Got a chance to speak with the owner and he communicated well with me and shared a few tips about Australia and Devenport.

      The owners were really nice. We arrived late night and no other place was open. They cooked for us even was late. The food is really good and the customer service is excellent. I recommend this place is you want to have a good time in Devonport ? also the have gluten-free options!

      We have been here 3 times, and we love the food and the staff. The prices are more than reasonable. The decor is a little basic but I am sure as they are more established it will improve. definately the best Indian in Devonport.

      I love this place and I don’t say that lightly. It is very fairly priced and the food always comes out with more than enough. You find all the classic Indian dishes here in a basic fast food style setting. I appreciate how simple it is especially considering the price point. The meal deals they have are great value and really good if you have a hectic workday and just need some quick food and then go hang out in the park.

      While the food was full of flavour and beautifully cooked, the waitress clearly had no hospitality training. She was very friendly though and asked for help when she didn’t understand a request. Recommend it as take away.

      Food was average, best thing on our order was the salted lassi, rest of food was average.

      Service was poor, the wait staff was rude and was talking down at us, it seemed from her attitude when we walked into the restaurant that us being there was like inconvenience to them!! This was for dinner on Saturday night, the restaurant wasn’t set up and she rudely asked us to wait for 15 mins when she sets up, like 15 mins to set up a table for 4? And while we waited she called us in after 2 mins, it almost seemed like she was staying to shoo us away by asking to wait 15 mins.

      When serving the entrees she again rudely asks if they can start preparing our mains as they have lots of phone orders to prepare (I was never asked this before when dining out) I also noted she didn’t ask this to other tables.

      We were visiting the town and were tourists, left a very bad impression on us. A day prior we dined at another Indian restaurant in the town and the food and the service both were great which we didn’t get from this restaurant

      Rude Customer Service and charged for an item which I never received.

      I did a menulog Pickup order. After collecting the order and got back to my car, I found out that two items were missing (mango lassi and gulab jamun). I went back to let them know, however the server spoke arrogantly and said all items must be in the bag and that she doesn’t know where the order was from. She handed one lassi but denied upfront to give gulab jamun (which was already paid for ). This attitude from the server and being talked in condescending way , made me leave the place. Ridiculous behavior. Never ordering again.

      Delicious Indian food and friendly service. We have had takeaway twice now and will definitely be repeat customers. The lamb and butter chicken Biryani are favorites, so full of flavour with soft & tender meat. The Korma is lovely and the spicy Samosas are so good. I’ve enjoyed my interactions with the manager and staff…great service. Thank you.

      Not only was it the best Indian food I’ve ever eaten, but what really nice, was the manager came and took our order, personalised it for me, and made sure I was to try the very best they offered.       We ordered a Combo for Two tonight, which included 2 curries ( Butter Chicken and Chicken Korma), rice, Naan bread and some papadams. Flavours were really nice. We thought the portions were a bit small at the start, but by the end of the meal we couldn’t have eatten any more, so they ended up being fine. The mango lassi was absolutely delicious. We’ll definitely be going back again.

      I had a takeaway last night, 2 curries and onion bhaji cost me $50. Navaratan korma had snow peas and mushroom which was making curry flavour very weird. Paneer makhni was okay but no salt at all, definitely I don’t like to fix curry at home once I have paid $20 for curry.

      Edit: I did order samosa and rice first time, they were nice but it took 45 mins to prepare it,i thought because you guys are still new so decided to give second go this time, I specifically mention to the person who I placed order with I am not going to wait longer than eastimated time, I do know what I ordered this time 2 curries and onion bhaji. If it’s about proving me wrong that’s okay, will definitely not come back.

      Ate here with our family on Boxing Day and the food was absolutely delicious ? we loved every mouthful and ate it all! The mango lassi was amazing too. We had the butter chicken, chicken madras chilli, lamb bhuna gosht and the paneer curry ? had onion bhaji, saffron rice, papadams and naan with our curries. Will definitely go back when we come down south. They were very friendly however they were super busy so it took a while for them to take our order.

      I will be sticking with the other two Indian restaurants in Busselton. Food takes quite a long time. Some how the guy who came 20 mins after us got his food way before we did. In perspective, we were 1 of 4 tables. 1 of them already were finishing up when we arrived. When brought up, there was no apologies, just excuses.

      Very average. The chicken AB was ok, meat was not as tender as it should’ve been but the crunch of the chips were ok. Both the lamb Rogan Josh and lamb Korma had pretty good flavours and the meat was tender. The butter chicken was way too sweet and the consistency of the sauce wasn’t great. The naan was dry. The chicken biryani had a nice flavour and a decent kick of spice. The portion sizes of all the curries were small and stingy with the meat.

      The owners and workers were absolutely amazing. You can tell that you’re more than a customer when your in the blissful atmosphere.

      On top of that the food was scrumptious, affordable and very filling.

      If you’re in Mount Gambier, Mount Gambier kebabs is the place to go for a bite.

      Friday 29th Dec. ’23. Service here was ok from the girls at the counter, although being told there was a 20 minute wait for 2 lamb yiros’ and we waited whilst it was sitting for god knows how long on their bench going cold and after asking for our name, not even calling us up to collect them, while sitting in the store waiting to be called as instructed, once we were finally called up to collect our cold lamb yiros’, my husband slipped on the step at the door, falling over and really hurting himself and drawing blood on his knees, today (31st Dec 23) he is still hobbling around sore, so be careful approaching the entrance door to this store, there was No sign at the door stating there was a slippery step. Our lamb yiros didn’t taste that nice, the lamb meat tasted processed, made it taste worse being stone cold, it wasn’t worth the $28 for two lamb yiros’ had a drizzle of what they called garlic sauce in the very bottom. Definitely won’t be back to this place again next time we’re in Mount Gambier.
