      I came here and went to go buy a book a really wanted. It was a Childs book. the volunteers said I couldn’t buy an old book because it didn’t have a price on it and they’d have to wait until next week for ‘book ladies’ to price it. I then came back to buy it and it turns out they sold my book to someone else! if something doesn’t have a price I am sure a fully grown adult volunteer is more than capable to price it one or two dollars for a old secondhand book themselves rather than waiting confused for a ‘book lady’. I am very upset and angry that the book I was happy to purchase was sold to someone else! Do better!

      Some of the older female staff here really need to be spoken to regarding their treatment of customers. Twice I’ve been here to see them being rude to people about products not having a price and refusing to sell to them. Even stock on the floor not yet priced being taken back and customers scolded for picking it up. Perhaps don’t keep it on shelves accessible by customers? So rude, and disappointing to see. Won’t be back.

      Sorry “spence spence” but I’ve gotta defend my team. Unfortunately any item/s brought to the counter without a price is unable to be purchased on the spot. If an item/s tag either falls off or is removed we are required to process it like any other donated item. Our team did indeed price this for you and held it behind the counter but you failed to return to purchase this item when you said you would. This was then sold after the fact to another customer. Please review fairly and truthfully in the future.

      This was once a worthwhile stopover. The products now seem generally lesser quality and with lots of the increased pricing throughout the store ,often I found over new store bought prices. No longer worth the visit.

      I had a horrible experience in the store, the staff especially this one lady who had a European accent treated my sister and I like thieves, first asking us to keep our beach bags up at the front of the store (then proceeding to take them off us) we complied with this, but after, while we were looking she continued to follow me around the shop, watching me like a hawk. This was very uncomfortable as It felt like I was a thief and I couldn’t shop in peace. I enjoy thrifting but this experience was horrible, shouldn’t have even bought anything. Sort out your staff it is not okay.

      This place is ridiculously overpriced. I saw a framed picture which was from Kmart for $45 which is only $17 retail. I would suggest you check prices online prior to purchasing, cos you could get ripped off. They obviously don’t. Never again.

      Once I actually found it I was pleasantly surprised by how much was inside Pakenham’s hidden gem. Parking out the front and very reasonable pricing and very kind ans friendly staff. Plenty of women’s and men’s clothing, homewears, shoes and room full of kids and baby’s clothing and another full of toys. Take your time and grab a basket was greatful to have my goodies bagged up at checkout to. Definitely coming back ❤️

      A surprisingly larger than it looks on the outside. Excellent customer service by the team member, I have forgotten his name. Tons of stock with a great range of products to choose from. Well organised areas are set aside for specific groups. Definitely would recommend shopping here.

      Took my donations to this store, and there was a large container at the back where one can put them. I was being watched all the time, like security personnel do, and one item l dropped in the bin was declared dirty and l was told to remove it. It wasn’t dirty, it was a case that they had no awareness of the product. I now wish l had picked up all the things l had donated. I have never returned to that store and since then have taken my donations elsewhere. I don’t expect to be treated badly for giving donations. I often go to the trouble of cleaning what l donate so that it is pleasant for the volunteers to deal with!

      I’m going to have to agree with the other not so good reviews. I went there years ago when needed but recently they’ve got new not so friendly staff volunteers. In fact rude. Get with the program – stop scaring away potential customers plus even people who like to donate quality items

      My mother took our donations into the store. A extremely rude woman ran and chased after her saying she couldn’t leave her donations and was shamed and said she couldn’t leave them here. One was a Guess suitcase which was in great working condition and was told “no one would want that”. My mum showed her all of the brand new clothes we had donated and asked if they wanted them or not. When you try to do something good for charity and are shamed and belittled for no reason! What a hassle!

      I’ve been buying books and dvds there for years and I asked the staff why there are not many books. She said there they are all funneled into the Life Line Book Fair. That was fair enough as there are still some. I don’t have problems with that however the female staff member, apparently a boss there had an issue with a friend and I going out back into the working here as we were invited by a male staff member who said it was okay he gave us permission to browse the stock of dvds there. But here comes this woman boss who had a problem with us and said that she didn’t want us messing up the dvd stacks. Great. I guess that is more important than making money and keeping customers happy and coming back hey? Unusual approach. Have a bad day and take out on those that keep them in business. I also know that someone who used to work there say Lifeline Shop Wollongong for a business who is supposed to be friendly isn’t, and this rude woman just tried to assert her authority because she was having a bad day. Another time another female staff member tried to boss me around too. I won’t be going back there. Cheaps dvds and books aren’t worth being treated badly. This woman doesn’t care about keeping customers happy but controlled.

      The book shop in this store is a treasure trove. The history section is extensive, particularly with Royal books. My collection of books on European royalty, particularly British royalty, has expanded thanks to this busy store. What’s not to love. ⭐️

      Brought in a dining set from an elderly neighbour as they wanted it donated. One chair had screws in a leg to hold it together. The manager came out and with staff, snapped it in front of me to make a point that the chair was unsuitable. I could’ve wanted to take it and repair it. What sort of people break something rather than just telling me they won’t take it? I’m shocked and extremely upset. Won’t be donating here anymore.

      Extremely over priced. Don’t bother coming here. Can’t believe the prices they are charging for DVD’s unbelievable. I remember when DVD’s where 2-3 bucks this one’s trying to charging 5-8 for a DVD no wonder they had so many. When you go in there you think wow they have alot of stuff. Well that’s because it’s all overpriced. Never coming back here anymore waste of time use to come here alot but never again.

      This shop is unfortunately pricing it’s customers out. The “vintage and retro” items are much dearer here than at actual vintage shops. I understand that pickers purchase from op shops to resell at a higher price. Why not allow them to support their small business and your charity at the same time? Ultimately the current pricing model is costing people the dignity of being able to a. purchase in the first place and b. resell to make a little extra money. As for the clothing, it’s also far too dear. A used Adidas women’s cropped jacket for $70? They were around that brand new 5 years ago. Really sad to hear elderly pensioners discussing having to put the things they liked back on the rack as they couldn’t afford it. Your prices are humiliating the very people your charity supports. Management needs a wake up call.

      Your pricing of ‘designer’ clothing is becoming out of hand. I saw a Meshki dress on a designer rack today for 50 dollars?! Meshki is not even designer. Gone is the day of the thrilling hunt for a high quality item at a low price. This is unfair for low income earners who come to your shops to find a great deal. Rip off. Two stars because you have good parking.

      Prices in here are extortionate. $75 for a blanket , $10 for a kids jumper. I am a lifetime op shopper and also a community worker and this seems obscene in one of Tassie’s most disadvantaged cities. The manager (assume wasn’t a volunteer with the attitude she had) also yelled at my kids and snatched a kitchen implement out of my 7 year olds hand.

      Usually have lots of good stuff but it’s not cheap. Go across the road to Kmart if your goal is affordable clothing. But if you want to find some gems this is a good place to look.

      This store is always immaculately presented and well organised (sizes, colours and clothing types). The staff are super kind and helpful. There is an amazing “brand” section of quality items (yes, you pay a little more than “op shop prices” but the quality is worth it).       Store is set up beautifully, has a boutique feel, light and airy. Yes there are higher priced quality items, obviously Salvos are trying to raise as much money as they can for their charity work. Saying that I found plenty of reasonable priced items in clothing, knick knacks and books. Sue one of the staff wrapped my candle sticks up carefully and served me with a friendly smile, nothing was too much trouble. I will be back

      Brilliant salvos op shop in Bundall. Clean, well presented and well organised. Great selection of goods. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Bec especially is a delight, super friendly and helpful and quick with a smile and joke which is great. Salvos stores have good stock rotation and there’s a colour code system that I haven’t quite got the hang of but I gather each week the colour changes and goods of that colour get marked down, sometimes to just $2. Worth being aware of ?

      Great location, easy car park provided off the road, warm polite and helpful staff despite us coming in close to closing time, prices are all what you expect at an op shop, all while supporting the good humanitarian works of the Salvos. I scored a pair of pants for $6 and a food processor for $40 – my wife and I have been looking for one, but it’s a relief knowing we can try this one for $40 instead of trying to find the perfect one for hundreds of $ without trying it! We had a great experience and recommend Salvos Stores to anyone looking to prevent waste, spend less, and support humanitarian efforts.

      Another brilliant salvos op shop. This one is quite large and has heaps of great things. Haven’t walked out of there empty handed ever. Lots of great clothing, shoes and accessories, kitchenware and knick-knacks, books, cds, DVDs, furniture, bedding, mattresses, children’s toys, sporting goods and more.
