      I’m new to Baltimore and was very happy to find this small but friendly game store. In spite of how small it is, they carry a lot of games, including many I had never seen before (and I have been playing and collecting tabletop games for decades). They even have a large selection of used games. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and made me feel at home. I found the store because I wanted to play a Friday Night Magic draft and was pleasantly surprised. The customers are also friendly and welcoming, and they treated me well during the draft. (I played terribly, but they helped me.) This is important because sometimes players can be arrogant jerks, but I felt right at home among friends. I’ll be going back.

      Came here for a Magic the Gathering pre-release tournament (Wilds of Eldraine). Staff was very friendly and helpful. Brought my 9 year old son who is starting to get interested in magic who just wanted to watch. Owner even tossed him a bonus pack, made his day. we will be back!

      I know game stores can have their quirks, but this particular store felt like it tries to bite off more than it can chew. The place is fairly small but the items feel haphazardly placed, especially in the back. At times it feels like unkept nerds garage sale than a proper place of business.

      Visited the area coming from NY, this was a quaint little store I found with a friend. We both visited for out first time and were pleasantly surprised by the selection of board games, mini figs, and video games. The employee(s) were very helpful with locating and suggesting games as well as fun to chat with while we browsed. A great first time experience and I would reccomend it again.

      For the kid that has everything, the toys here stand out. They are unique and not expensive. A handheld telescope was a hit with a five-year-old. Also a jigsaw puzzle with certain objects only visible under a light provided.

      My family was so delighted to find this store when we moved to the area. It reminded me of the toy stores I grew up with. Do not be fooled by it’s small size (compared to big box stores); they have a very large selection of items, thoughtfully chosen by their staff. They also make it easy to order in whatever it is you want if they don’t have it in stock. It’s a fun spot for children to visit – lots of things on display and toys to interact with. The staff are very friendly and relaxed. There’s never a concern of letting your kids explore – they encourage it! Price points are surprisingly reasonable and on par with what larger chain stores charge (often times they’re better). This a true neighbourhood gem and it’s definitely worth your time visiting and supporting! Highly highly recommended!

      I like the products offered and the prices are good (nor everything is 5 below, stuff in back is slightly higher) but I think my turn off for this store is that there isn’t an option to have a cashier. Everyone rings themselves up. And there’s one cashier overseeing. I feel, I’m a customer not an employee and I should have to ring myself up if I prefer not to.

      Horrible shopping experience. Not sure if theft is an issue but closing every self checkout register and relying on one cashier to check people out is a horrible business practice. I wouldn’t recommend this location and advise others to go to the new one on Summer Ave.

      My kids loved it. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They made sure we had everything we needed and they didn’t try to push us to buy extra stuff. My kids got backpacks for their bears instead of boxes. It makes them so much easier to carry and the backpacks are really cute. We’ll definitely go back.

      We’ve been twice now and the experience was wonderful both times. The employee who worked with our daughters to make their bears was sweet and very talented, she really seems to love her job. She gets the bears made quickly but without rushing my daughters. Perfect.

      Worst experience at build a bear ever. The first time I went two years ago as soon as I walked in I got helped , spoken to as soon as I came in and they walked through the whole process . I came with my best friend and his son today . No one greeted us when we walked in to helped we walked around and figured everything on our on. The lady who stuffed the bear was very rude to my best friends son, she even put hands on him , he was very excited so he was trying to grab the bear as she was sewing it up and she basically pushed him , she didn’t have to do that . If you want A1 customer service and nice people don’t go to this build a bear .

Often times they help me brainstorm ideas for my own creations, and suggest parts that might be good. I also want to thank the stores manager/owner who has always been extremely kind and helpful.       Great place for new and used Legos and good, fair prices. The store was clean and well managed. The gentleman we were working with was fantastic and super helpful. He answered all the questions we had and seemed genuinely interested in the conversation. Overall the only thing holding it back from a 5 star rating is the parking which we found on the street. But if I had the ability to rate it a 4.75 stars, I would. Highly recommend this place!

      Went here for the first time today. Absolutely fantastic store if you are a fan of Lego at all. Extraordinary selection of new and used. Great area to build your own mini figures. My favorite was the area that had all of the old mystery figures on display for you to be able to buy. Be prepared to spend. It’s worth it to check it out!

      I have an 11 year old who is just mad for Bionicles. It was pure joy when my son found all the parts he needed to build his favorite Lewa mata character here. We have been searching online for a set but adding shipping cost from online sellers for this character means paying at least $40. We were expecting to maybe find a few parts but with the help of Jay, the in-house Bionicles expert, my son built his Lewa mata. In total, we paid $12! They have a Bionicles workshop here maybe every other Sundays? We signed up to be notified but my son will be coming here throughout the summer so he can build more Bionicle creations. What a treasure trove this place is! (We have been to the Beaverton location also and found some Bionicle parts but having an in-house Bionicle expert makes this location my son’s favorite).

      Love this sweet treasure of a toy ? store. I recently made way to pick up a birthday gift for my great-nephew and the staff was incredibly helpful. I came across so many fun options. It definitely brought me back to when my kiddos were wee-ones. Lots of classic, hands-on, brain building, fun toy options. I decided to go with a dear timeless book that I read to my littles decades ago, a fantastic construction vehicle, amazing bubbles that originate in Germany, and a cozy stuffy.       I LOVE this place. It’s my first stop for all my kids’ birthdays and for their friends’ gifts. The staff is wonderfully helpful, and helped me pick the BEST card game for my burgeoning “[card] gamer” 6-year-old son, (game is called Sleeping Queens) after I mentioned he loved Uno. They also went down to their out-of-season stock to find me a beach bucket and water toys for a fundraiser basket I was helping fill. If you enjoy having a near-personal-shopper to guide you towards quality recommendations for the young and young-at-heart in your life, this is the place. Also: complimentary gift-wrapping.       Very cool shop with knowledgeable and extremely accommodating staff. If there is not something on the sales floor ask a member and they’ll gladly try to find an item for you.

      Nice selection of Studio Ghibli, Pokémon, Kirby, Mario and popular animes. There is also a cool vibe to the store with the old episodes of Pokémon on the tvs, ghibli films and nostalgic music playing.

      Staff is so helpful and really went above and beyond! Owner took notice to the series I was looking at and was kind enough to take out the entire bin of merchandise from that series that they had yet to put out. Whenever I visit Boston, this is one of the first places I visit and that will never change. They always have a great selection of merchandise from a bunch of different series and while sometimes the pricing is a bit expensive, i would say the customer service makes it worth it!

      Joe grabbed the Okkotsu cup from the case with such speed and precision you would think its their cursed technique. An impressive ability for sure.

      We had Eureka run the entire entertainment for our son’s Bar Mitzvah celebration and all I can say is that the kids and adults did not want to leave. The escape room was a huge hit and everyone took home the puzzles and played them for days afterwards. They kept sending us picture of them trying to solve the puzzles.       I was disappointed coming to this location. I have been to many five belows in other states and always found them well-stocked and staffed. The staff here were friendly and helpful but seemed overwhelmed. There was a huge lack of items in both the phone accessories section (no screen protectors other than ones for apple watches and only 2 cases for my phone type, NO CHARGING BOXES only cables?), and the perfume isle (there were barely any perfumes and only 2 samplers out, one for men and one for women). I did not stay long as I was so disappointed in the experience.

      As this is the only five below in DC, it seems like whoever is responsible at corporate needs to put more effort into making sure the store is fully stocked and that there is enough staff to manage it, even if that means raising pay and benefits to be more enticing to potential employees (especially now that it’s less like five-below, and more like five-and-UP with the price gouges). As the only DC location it could be a huge business success if properly taken care of. I will try this location again in a few months to see if it has improved, but as a 5-below customer for years I am in shock and think the other reviewers must not have seen what a proper 5-below looks like.

      The saving grace was the helpful attitude from staff, but otherwise, this was the worst five below experience I’ve had in 7+ years of shopping at these stores.

      Very convenient and always has things that me and my kids love. My only criticism would be that the customer service at this location sucks the young women working there are not friendly at all or inviting but other than that the store itself is incredible

      Toys are expensive no matter where you go. This has the best selection for all ages. Please note : video games , mass produced stuff like hot wheels paw patrol are not really stocked. But awesome selection of Lego , art , games , science and other cool creative playthings. They also wrap which is absolutely clutch for dads who forgot to get the present during the week.

      While in town for my wife’s work, my son and I have been out exploring the city. We have never been much for buying tchotchkes as souvenirs, yet few things can bring back the memories of travel like a material thing found along the way. After visiting the gift shop at the National Aquarium in Baltimore and seeing the crummy toy offerings, I told my son we’d find a real toy store – and Child’s Play Toys & Books is definitely that! We were greeted and assisted by passionate toy aficionados – professional retailers. Take your time when you visit this store – there’s a ton to see. Now my son has a quality toy that will bring back memories of our DC trip. We also had a puzzle gift wrapped for free at the counter as a gift for my father-in-law for watching our animals – this was the perfect store for us today! (You know you’re dealing with a serious store when they have an entire shelf dedicated to the best board game ever made – Catan!)

      Great and huge selection of toys. Very helpful staff gave us many recommendations for multiple gifts that we were looking for. We found and bought all gifts from there. Prices seemed reasonable too. Highly recommended.

      This place is amazing, my son has been busy in an adventure of a lifetime. You may not have Toys R Us, (RIP) but you can bet the adventure awaits you here. The pictures is just a point of the mass of toys. There’s parking in the back and the front. Food and Starbucks next door. The employees are Soo helpful with joy.

      I’ve loved this place since I was a child and now my kids love it too. Everyone is always so helpful and they practically greet you at the door. It’s really wonderful. My go-to place for gifts for my kids. Highly recommend!

      Great experience at the Disney store, there was a greeter at the door that answered any questions I had. There is a little bit of every Disney character here. They didn’t have too much of an “ear” selection, maybe 8 ears to pick from and not the newest ones. They didn’t have anything celebrating the 50th anniversary which is what I was really after. They had some adult apparel and toys on sale at a good price. Though I didn’t find what I was looking for in the store I can purchase it online through their website.

      If I could give NO stars I would. Today I visited this Disney Store. We were being followed by the staff because we were not wearing masks. They DO NOT HAVE any signs up on their doors requiring masks. They are going against the executive order GA-38 that states, “This Prohibits governmental entities and officials from mandating masks. This order has the force effect of STATE LAW and SUPERSEDES local rules and regulations.” I informed the staff I follow that executive orderbecause it is STATE LAW and even showed him what it said. He REFUSED to read it. He said “Well it’s our policy and you can just leave because they are required here.” NO SIGNS UP and just harassing and throwing people out. He THREATENED ME by saying “You aren’t the first and you won’t be the last” then slammed the door on us on the way out. I’m surprised the glass didn’t shatter. This is unlawful and has only happened at this store. You walk the rest of the mall and other stores say optional OR HAVE NO SIGNS. Reported to mall security who is now reporting it to corporate. Even they stated they’ve had many problems with this store before. If you believe that hard core, PUT UP A SIGN rather than HARASSING CUSTOMERS by chasing them around the store and making up a policy just because YOU want to wear a mask.

      Great little store…used to go to the one back home. They have a lot of great things for 5 and below. I gave 4 stars because they are doing like dollar tree and starting to get away from their name and what they started. The name is 5 below…now not everything is $5 or below. Pretty dumb move if you ask me. Got some good stuff for the kids nock off Legos which are just as good, some stuff for my wife to use while homeschooling. They just need to keep the store marching the name.

      Visited for the 1st time on 7/14 & we LOVED it! The employees were super friendly/helpful & 1 of them even explained to me at length about the proper care of pets ? ? The store was clean & everything was in its place. They allow children to discover toys without disrespecting the business & they don’t hover over the customers. I wish the prices were lower, but because of their unique selection…maybe it’s understandable. Anyway…great job, Phillips family! We’ll be back!

      Super cool store!! I was just in town for a doctor’s appointment and had a few hours to kill between appointments so we decided to go check out this mall. I saw the lego store and my son has a birthday in March so I figured I’d have a look. Ended up buying the Paul Walker lego car and it was much cheaper than I have seen online. I feel like I got a pretty good deal which I appreciate. The guy working was very tall and friendly.

      They have a great selection. It’s pretty easy to find the flower bouquet now, but it was sold out everywhere before. However, I was able to get it after visiting this store only twice. I screamed at the store lol. All of the staffs there are super friendly and nice. Lego store is not only for children but also for adults. I highly recommend visiting this store!

      Disney stores are always fun! Clean place with Decent Prices and they were marking stuff down as we were shopping? Disney ears everywhere and marked down! The Young woman marking down items was extremely helpful. Definitely didn’t feel that warm fuzzy Disney feels. That being said, I choose to focus on the one young woman who was friendly.

      This place is having insane sales! I got a Disney shirt for 1.49$! A snow globe for 2$, and a Disney mug for literally 98 cents!!! All their Halloween stuff is 40$ percwnt off and my husband just bought me the Micky mouse earrings that were normally 20$ but got the for 15$ stainless steel and so beautiful! Same with my beauty and the beast necklace ❤️ definitely recommend!

      We visited the store today to grant Jozi’s Make-A-Wish Oklahoma shopping spree!! This store in such a beautiful, fun place to visit!!! The door greater was super sweet and quickly helped us find the store manager!!! The manager gave us the VIP treatment, a huge bag of goodies and helped us find all the sizes and goodies we needed!!!

      I feel like they’re always out of things everytime I go. The staff are always friendly though. The Outlet Mall security is a joke though. They are those types that literally do nothing and act like they do something. They’re like Paul Blart. The Disney Store is overall pretty good though. ??
