Very busy store during the week as you get all the office staff within the Brisbane CBD area.
If you want to avoid the rush not a good time to visit between 12 to 2 however in saying that staff have this store running extremely well and definitely customer focused. During the busy rush the will often have two staff operating/assisting the self help making it flow that much faster.

Store is generally cleaned and well stocked including fresh flowers, sushi made fresh on premises and hot food such as chicken tenders, hot chips, chicken wings.

Store is located in close vicinity of the cbd, just down the road of the Queen Street mall.

A nice basic Woolworths in the CBD. Good selection for people who live in the city, those who are visiting and need food items and city workers who need to pick up the essentials on their way home. Not the full selection you will find in a suburban Woolworths, but a decent range to meet the needs of their diverse customer base. Store is a little cramped and disorganised for my taste. It can be hard to find what you need.

Seems everything is higher prices than other Woollies but what I understand is the prices are the same across the country. If inflation is the cause I’m pleased this chain seem committed to reducing the cost on their customers. Over all store is very busy and the isles are full of staff restocking. 3/5 because the shelves could have been tidy more than they where on Sunday last hour of trading.

Apparently the only 24hour Woolworths in Australia? We were overnighting in the Novotel BNE Airport next door, and nipped in for some snacks for the evening. Awesome selection of high quality produce and groceries. one surprising thing however was that this store is alcohol free. We shopped for evening snacks and nibbles, and thought we could just pick up a 6 pack of beers for our hotel room, but no alcohol available. Saying that, the selection of zero alcohol beers was amazing! We had never come acrosss a selction of alcohol free wines, beers and ‘spirts’ before so it as an entertaining 15mins persuing these. (side note, if you do want a beer or wine, Dan Murphy’s next door sells a full selection) Good to see there were still cash checkout facilities as well, as we were not using our internaitonal credit cards.

This is a large Woolworths store across the road from the main DFO complex. Has a good fresh fruit & vegetable department close to the entry doors. Plenty of check outs available with a couple of cash self serve stations. Generally the store is always clean & in order when I have visited

This Woolworths is so convenient because it currently stays open to 10pm, normally 24/7 but an extra hour on top of other grocery shops makes a difference. Luckily they don’t pack everything away until after 10pm so plenty of fruit and veg are still available.

The prices here are the same as other stores so no premium for the extra hour either.

If you are not 24/7 why don’t you just change your timings on Google? I also tried calling while waiting at sliding glass door with 4 other customers who, like me, would have driven all the way from God knows where at 1:20am.

It’s a small, cut down woolworths. Open 24/7 though, so could be handy if you lived or worked nearby. Obviously handy if you’ve just flown in and need milk for when you get home.

Pros and Cons of Shopping at Woolworth

Woolworths and traditional markets both offer different shopping experiences that cater to different needs and preferences. Here are some pros and cons to consider when choosing between the two:

    Woolworth:

    • Pros:
    • – Convenience: Woolworths stores are typically located in easily accessible areas, making it convenient for shoppers to visit.
    • – Wide variety: Woolworths offers a wide range of products, including groceries, clothing, household items, and electronics, providing shoppers with one-stop shopping convenience.
    • – Quality assurance: Woolworths often offers branded products, ensuring a certain level of quality for shoppers.
    • – Online shopping: Woolworths also provides the option for shoppers to purchase items online and have them delivered to their doorstep, saving time and effort.
    • Cons:
    • – Higher prices: Compared to traditional markets, Woolworths products are generally priced higher due to factors such as branding and convenience.
    • – Limited bargaining: Shoppers may not have the opportunity to negotiate prices or bargain with sellers as they would in traditional markets.
    • – Less personal interaction: The shopping experience at Woolworths may lack the personal interaction and connection that can be found in traditional markets.

    Traditional market:

    • Pros:
    • – Lower prices: Traditional markets often offer products at lower prices compared to Woolworth, as they usually source directly from producers or wholesalers.
    • – Bargaining opportunities: Shoppers can negotiate prices or bargain with sellers, potentially obtaining better deals.
    • – Fresh and local products: Traditional markets are known for offering a variety of fresh and locally sourced products, allowing shoppers to support local businesses and enjoy a unique shopping experience.
    • – Personal interaction: Shoppers can directly communicate with sellers, forming connections and gaining insights about the products they are purchasing.
    • Cons:
    • – Limited variety: Traditional markets may have a limited range of products compared to larger stores like Woolworth.
    • – Inconvenience: Traditional markets are often located in specific areas, requiring shoppers to travel to reach them.
    • – Time-consuming: Shopping at traditional markets can be more time-consuming due to the need to visit multiple stalls or vendors to find everything on your shopping list.

Ultimately, the choice between Woolworths and traditional markets depends on personal preferences, budget, and shopping needs. While Woolworths offers convenience, a wide variety, and quality assurance, traditional markets provide lower prices, bargaining opportunities, fresh and local products, and personal interaction.

The store is clean but I just really don’t like how there is only 3 self serves with cash. Every other one is card only. So you’re standing there holding up the line because some people have cash. You can’t go to the cash register because no1 is there or it’s always full. We need more registers or self serve with cash. Other then that the store is great.

Self-serve staff take it on their own accord to touch your personal belongings in your trolley when the situation does not warrant inspection. If they paid more attention to the actual reason they were called over to assist, this uneducated approach to manning the self-serve area can be avoided or Woolworths Rouse Hill should simply employ the right people to do the job. I’m so sick of this type of behaviour not being pulled into check. It never is so disrespectful at coles or other shops.

RUDE DELI STAFF!! This is my first time to make a review because this really is extremely awful (understatement). 1 star is even a generous rating! I approached the deli area and waited patiently for the staff to finish serving one customer (as she was alone around 8:00 am (7th March 2023), gave her a smile as she was approaching me and I said “Good morning” and no reply, no smile and asked me angrily” What do you want?” I said a kilo of chicken thighs pls” while pointing to it . she asked angrily again “What chicken?” (I thought she prob didnt hear the word thighs) and I said this one while pointing to it and she angrily and in a loud voice said “I cant see your finger”. At this stage I am already shaking with anger and tempted to talk back but I just kept quiet and I looked at my husband and he was shocked with this old lady’s attitude. So she placed the chicken in the scale and asked me (without looking at me and yelled “over or under?”) I was glad I knew what she meant (if its ok if its over/under a kilo) and I yelled back I said “OVER” because I am already fuming at this stage and she wrapped it gave to me with no thank you, no eye contact and I uttered the word “Rude!” I wanted to speak to a manager at that time and my husband said for me not to worry and probably would’nt make a difference.

To this grumpy old lady who served me in the Deli on the 7th of March 2023 around 8:00 am in the morning… I dont know how you last in Retail with that kind of an attitude – RUDE! extremely RUDE! because it seems that you’ve been working for the company for a long time, I wonder how many complaints have you received and probably your Manager cant do anything about you as you probably bully her/him as well. To the Store Manager of Seven Hills, please re-train your staff and please give the comments here (not only my one but the others too) a thought. Come on Customer Service in 7 hills pffft!!!

Title: Warning: Disgusting Conditions at Woolworths Store, Seven Hills

I feel compelled to share my recent experience at the Woolworths Store in Seven Hills to warn others about the appalling conditions and lack of quality control. The state of this store is nothing short of disgusting and raises serious concerns about hygiene and customer safety.

First and foremost, the overall appearance of the store is extremely disappointing. The lack of cleanliness is evident, with dirty floors and shelves that are clearly neglected. The store seems to have a perpetual issue with pallets of frozen food left abandoned in the aisles, while workers engage in idle conversations, neglecting their duties. This not only obstructs the shopping experience but also reflects a lack of professionalism and respect for customers.

During one visit, I witnessed an incident involving a male worker with grey hair, who appeared to be in his 60s. He discovered a perishable item that had been left out of the fridge for potentially hours. Instead of taking immediate action, the worker responsible carelessly returned the item to the fridge, disregarding the potential health risks associated with such negligence. This blatant disregard for food safety is unacceptable and poses a serious threat to customers’ well-being.

Moreover, the quality of the fruit and vegetables at this store is nothing short of appalling. They not only look unappealing but also fail to meet even minimal standards of freshness. The produce barely lasts a couple of days before it starts deteriorating, rendering the expiration dates on packaging utterly useless. It is disappointing to see such a lack of care and attention to providing customers with fresh and quality produce.

Instead of addressing these pressing issues, it is disheartening to see the store’s management prioritize hiring security personnel to harass customers by constantly tailing them throughout the store. This not only creates an uncomfortable shopping environment but also reflects a misplacement of priorities. Rather than monitoring innocent shoppers, Woolworths should focus on improving the overall shopping experience by addressing the fundamental issues at hand.

In conclusion, I strongly advise potential shoppers to exercise caution when considering the Woolworths Store at Seven Hills. The deplorable conditions, including the store’s dirty appearance, frozen food obstructing aisles, negligence towards perishable items, subpar quality of fruit and vegetables, and unnecessary harassment from security personnel, are unacceptable. It is my sincere hope that Woolworths takes immediate action to rectify these issues and restore confidence in their customers.

Please note that this review is based on my personal experience, and others may have different encounters at this store.

    • Keep an eye out for clearance items: Woolworths often has clearance sections where they sell products nearing their expiration date or with damaged packaging at discounted prices. These items can be a great way to save money.

By following these tips and tricks, you can have a smoother and more cost-effective shopping experience at Woolworths in Australia.

Large, clean and well lit store with easy to read signage for each section.
All the usual departments and items that you’d expect from a Woollies.
The only down side was the 4 trolleys of obviously discarded stock that was parked in front of the service desk making it hard to actually get to the staff to ask a question

Small product range to choose from, perhaps because the store is small. Was still surprised though considering Dubbo’s population is so much greater. On a Tuesday night, shelves were quite bare, further limiting choice. Went in with a list of 6 items, bought 2.

Some floor staff here are rude. Woman from deli charged straight out of passage across in front of customers with out a glance to see if anyone was there. Staff stocking fridge park a whole pallet infront of front of fridges customers have to step around them (while they chat away oblivious) and the pallet to try get the products they want…

Store is poorly managed the worst I’ve seen the store in years.  Never enough checkouts open especially in the afternoons. Staff seem worn out most likely due to staff shortages. Managers throw orders around to their staff but never seem to do any work themselves feel sorry for the staff. The male store manager is very rude and unhelpful. I will shop elsewhere from now on

The only thing I don’t like about this particular store, is because it has the Worst Bakery Department that I have Ever experienced in a Woolworths store.
Bread must delivered from another .
The bread it either frozen or it has been refrigerated before being stacked on shells.
I never buy anything from the bakery. It’s just wasting your money.
Worst Bakery I have ever experienced.

So we are visiting Dubbo from Sydney. We needed some staples, e.g., oil, tissues and green tea etc. as soon as we arrived. Went to Woolworths and surprisingly found it to be quite big and well stocked. However, the aisles could have been labelled better to make it easier to find stuff. Overall, it is a nice place to do grocery.

This review is due to a very, VERY rude team member at the self service area who after taking 10 minutes talking to her friend came to my self service terminal and told me that their machines were fine and it must be my bank. I find this store a great option if you are in a hurry.
It’s not as big as some Woolworths but they still have a great range.
Always served with a smile and within a timely manner.
Plenty of parking available but remember to bring your own shopping bags as they no longer use plastic bags.
