      This is a great supermarket, modern, spacious and staffed by what feels like a well managed team.

      The site is right near a retirement village and the clientele are kind and thoughtful of others.

      The car park outside is a little awkward but still better than some local alternatives

      Got given menthol and because I had opened the packet you wouldn’t exchange or refund. Even though none smoked or touched as soon as I saw the white tip I brought the straight back.

      The lady has served me 20+ for the same order, I’m surprised she doesn’t know my order off by heart

      I explained I don’t smoke menthol period and they said not our problem

      So due to thier error I’m $40 out of pocket with smokes I don’t smoke.

      Nice big shop floor, Store Manager and staff are friendly and helpful. Always really artistic and well stocked displays near the deli, I’m constantly “wowed” by the creativeness.
      All in all a plesent shopping experience.

      Definitely never had an issue here. Sometimes I feel like they don’t have stock(fresh fruits and vegetables) as much as the other stores. Clean and tidy as much as one can hope. Customer service is good most of the time, some you get that it comes across as they don’t want to be there. But butsides that I would go there often. I hope this review helps, if it does can you please give a thumbs up.

      I give this place a 5/5. I did a click/collect order as well to the boot. Was pretty good and quick. No complaints about service yet, helpful staff and lay out of tore is spacious.

      I think this is a very conveniently located Woolies. Only problem is the parking…only one way in and out, which is sometimes so busy due to schooling hours as well.

      Parked in back street and had to walk all the way to the other end of store to actually get in to buy. I can’t see why you can’t get in both ends. Hard going for us older people. First time I have shopped this Woolies. Deli had not much selection of various meat cuts. Walked the shop looking for a item as not were I would have thought. More than likely have to use the Woolies in the Market Place from now on.

      Asked a staff member to cut a chicken in half for me, and she said that she was busy and to come back in 10 minutes. Came back in 10 minutes, and then she started carrying on about having to do it. It was like it was a real effort for her. So I grabbed a full chicken and didn’t bother her anymore with my requests. Unfortunately, and from what I have seen so far, is that customer service in Newcastle is not very good. Would give Woolworths Newcastle West 0 stars if I could. I am a paying customer, and I expect good customer service at the very least.

      Always a pleasure shopping at Woolworths. They really are the fresh food people, they live up to this mantra. In fact for me, it’s very simple their oppositions colour is red which means stop, whereas their colour is green and it means go!       We came here on Thursday 20th July 2023 at 1:30pm and again at 1:45pm as we normally do to get our food shopping done and after we finished we left and went to the chemist and then realised we had forgotten a couple of things so went back 1 item was to purchased at the customer service desk but we ended up leaving without all the items we went back for due to the rude and disrespectful customer service behaviour we copped from some young women who claimed to be a manager who definitely should not have that job title and or be in customer service she’s very rude and argues and calls customers liers and doesn’t know how to treat older people and people with disabilities with respect and curtsy,

      Clearly her higher male store manager doesn’t want to do anything about it when a official complaint is made to the Woolworths customer complaints line he said he will chat with them but that is all he would do to clear it up this woman needs to loose her job before the store starts loyal customers no compassion or empathy from either staff member and they’re very judgmental and treats everyone including older people and customers with disabilities like theives and criminals,
      Probably be avoiding this store from now on but otherwise will not be getting served by this young lady again ,
      Please start treating all your customers as you want to be treated it goes both ways we be polite and respectful towards the staff members as expected and these people need to be respectful and polite towards customers as well,
      This store manager and staff change around has gone bad this time please bring back the previous manager. ?

      Anyone who has seen my reviews in the past knows I don’t hand out praise often or unless absolutely deserved and a Woolworths store is more likely to be a target and Charlestown Woolies is no different. However, after doing the weekly shopping this past Sunday my partner and I have nothing but praise for the checkout operater we were fortunate enough to be blessed with. Hayley was polite, professional, efficient, used common sense and was fast. 15 out of 10. I would say promote her but that would take her away from the checkouts. At the very least she should be a staff trainer.

      A really nice, spacious store but you guys need to set up the trolley collection in the carpark… there were only coles trolleys in the bays outside.
      I was running behind for an appointment today and I had to run the trolley back to the store, which took ages so I didn’t lose my trolley key. It added so much stress.

      We had gone to a restaurant nearby so it was convenient to shop at Woolworths Dandenong Junction. Plenty of car parking and not far to walk to supermarket entrance.
      The supermarket is large with many aisles. I think you would find any item you were looking for there. I used self serve to pay for my goods. The young lady attending to the customers using that service was quick to smile say hello and took the basket I had used to keep area safe and clean. Easy location from my home to shop.

      So much parking! And undercover too! The area now has all the essential shops around as well. The shop is large but lack of staff especially around deli section during busy period.

      Definitely need a security guard for the external areas though given the characters around the area.

      Friendly staff on checkouts. The people organising the groceries for pick up don’t put their trolleys to oneside. They usually have it sticking out and then they stand back and block access. The older ladies are fine, just the younger ones do this.
      The grocery selection is good, but the prices have gone up too much. Cheese slices woolworths brand used to be $7.
      In one week it went from $10 to $12.
      That’s $2. That’s definitely over charging.

      This is a really good supermarket. Clean, well run, well stocked. Parking is pretty good (not controlled by the supermarket, but still..). Staff are helpful and it is easy to get your stuff and get away again. There is also a pharmacy, a bottlo, a bakery and a newsagent. Plus takeaways. Not amazing, but really pretty good.

      Its a shame they lost their bookshop…what would really help this shopping center is more businesses to open..I think it has great potential to expand…maybe a Big W..or something similar ..I think its a shame bunning is so far away…
      Also access from the center maybe helped by the foot path being extended along the bypass being extended to the botanical gardens..and also to Bunnings would be helpful..just a few thoughts

      Service has gone down. Direct to boot was handy but things get forgotten, or are out of stock.
      Forget going there before 730am if you do a decent sized shop,
      as the tills are not open and you are forced to use the self service tills.
