    Nice pretty and diverse walk , just the right length for a child about one hour each way with the big reward reaching the Karloo pool for a nice swim and picnic. You can sit in the waterfall for a natural “spa”. The walk is rated as hard because the path is uneven with steep climbs and descents over rocky uneven terrain. It is not very challenging but can be very slippery in wet weather.

    Easy to park near by, big sign on the beginning of the trail with info – distance, etc., medium level difficulty, make sure to wear appropriate shoes and take water. The pool looks great, perfect for a swim on a warm summer day (as it was a warm winter day we didn’t go in ?).

    A great hike. Not busy on a weekday but packed on the weekends. It’s a good track on the way to the pools and on to the falls, slightly challenging for a beginner with good views and wildlife. The pools and waterfall are great break spots. The hike out from the falls is on fire trail and isn’t remarkable but it’s easy and quick. Plan on spending 3 hours doing the full 12K including breaks.

    The pool was wonderful with easy access into it. The walk was challenging for me , an unfit 67yo woman, but I made it with some help from my family. There were quite a few people there.

    Medium decent walk track, to Karloo Pool. Worth the effort once you reach the pool for a dip. After that a return trip back up the same route.

    you see many people jogging in the early morning 6am , it is amazing. you can start from one end make a loop, then you come back to starting point. it took me 8km to complete one loop. beautiful scenery and the jogging track, you see iron Bridge, you see yaught club , restaurant.

    Great local walk. Very easy 7km loop. I usually park up near Brett Park and walk anticlockwise so that I can finish on the bridge, and enjoy the view. The walk is mostly flat, accessible for wheelchairs, prams, bikes etc. There are a few coffee shops on the way, and usually an ice cream truck on the weekends. The walk is quite popular and can get quite busy on a sunny day.

    Whether you walk, run or bike the Bay Run, its a pleasant, scenic 7km which is relatively flat. You can detour to a cafe for a caffeine fix or Birkenhead Point to shop. Takes too long to do the whole loop with my dog because she stops at every tree and pole. One of the best tracks in Sydney. The locals love it!

    The inly possible downside is that it can get congested in a nice day. But that is the price you pay for a great walk.
    There are plenty of spots to start and stop with plenty of easy street parking.
    There are lots of drinking fountains and importantly a range of coffee and cafe stops to choose from.
    Be aware of others, especially at narrower parts where you may encounter runners and riders. Remember “Keep Left” and don’t walk 3 or 4 abreast.
    Plenty of great photo and selfie opportunities.
    7km is quite a long walk so maybe let the kids scoot. There are lots of playgrounds to stop at if needed.
    If you are slightly older bloke there are a range of exercise equipment locations to add a little extra to the walk.

    Easy trial to run, it’s amazing and peaceful. The water adds a relaxing and cool vibe. The trees and people passing by are friendly and its an amazing place to sit and have a picnic or run the loop.
