    Called in while travelling through Dubbo to replace an unusual sized bolt. The staff were super helpful. While they didn’t stock the correct bolt, the staff member took the time to give me directions to a speciality shop in town to help me source what I needed. You don’t get that service at my usual big green shed.

    Went there for the first time as they had the part I couldn’t find at the local Bunnings. Pretty good experience.

    Wanted to purchase 18 chairs for Christmas and after waiting to be served because is seemed like they were avoiding me in a store that didn’t look too busy one lady finally made eye contact. She checked the stock of the chairs and said she had 22 on stock but possibly had more because more may have come and online it said I could get 18. Great! I’ll take them! No we don’t have stock. No apology, no help to see if they could get them in nothing.. too bad attitude. 45 minutes I wasted at this store.. never again. I bought 24 in the end at Bunnings.

    I was at the Dubbo store this morning to get my reno supplies and the trailer that I’d booked. I was looked after by a young man at the trade desk by the name of Isaac Calder. Isaac was very polite and friendly, and went out of his way to make sure that I had everything I needed. Thanks heaps Isaac, you even made sure that i was good to go with the trailer. Great work. ?

    I had a very unpleasant experience at Bunnings with an employee named Robin today. I want to emphasize that I do not have any racial bias. However, his attitude towards customers was not only extremely poor but also involved continuous arguing, wasting a lot of my time.

    This afternoon, I went to Bunnings to return a 3m headphone ?, which had a genuine quality issue. At the entrance, two Australian girls at the front desk examined the headphones and asked if I wanted a return or exchange. I indicated that I wanted an exchange. They asked me to go to the counter to get a new 3m headphone ?. When I returned to the returns counter, one of the girls had to attend to another customer and asked me to wait briefly.

    While waiting, Robin, who I assume is an employee, was called over to assist me with my return. I initially thought he would just help with the paperwork, but to my surprise, he picked up the old headphones and started inspecting them. I pointed out the issues, such as a faulty button and a detached sponge inside one earphone. Robin forcefully pressed the button and pulled at the sponge. He then asked me to open the new headphones and check for issues. I complied with his request, but then he proceeded to press the button vigorously and tamper with the new headphones’ sponge.

    Robin then told me that the new headphones would also have the same problems and that I might return again in two or three weeks. This made me believe that Bunnings was knowingly selling faulty headphones ?. I explained to him that I needed the headphones for work, but he kept insisting that they were of poor quality. We got caught in this circular argument, which wasted a significant amount of my valuable off-work time.

    Later, Robin told me he couldn’t handle the issue and called his supervisor. When the supervisor arrived, she inquired about the situation but only listened to Robin’s side of the story without giving me a chance to explain. This left me feeling disrespected. Eventually, the supervisor allowed me to exchange the headphones, but Robin displayed reluctance and a poor attitude throughout the process. When he needed my flybuys card, I told him it was in my car. Upon my return, I found Robin sitting far away from the returns counter, seemingly ignoring me. It was one of the Australian girls who noticed my long wait and quickly helped me complete the exchange.

    This was a highly unpleasant experience, and I expect an apology. If I don’t receive a satisfactory response, I will file a complaint with the ACCC regarding this unfortunate incident.
