  I’ve been here twice now, friends! Today i ordered their $16 Mee Goreng seafood noodles & $14 Sambal chilli fried rice, along with 3x $2 dumplings.
  
  Yum! Simply delicious!!! This place would make good ole uncle Roger’s MSG loving self, super proud! It is cheap as chips, considering the time we’re in. I mean, you can get decent sized bowl full of flavorsome fried rice or noodles without skimping on meat & veggies – for under $15 here?

  Located on High st, in the heart of Melton town center, this place is now mine and my family’s go-to for authentic, hawker style asian cuisine – since moving into the area 12 months ago.
  
  Check this place out if ever you’re in Melton and after bang for your buck, Asian soul food. The only reason a star is missing is due to ambience… a smile on serving goes a long way… but maybe they had a bad day? Other than this – can’t fault the food. Trust me, you won’t forget it.

  I’m a loyal customer we go there atleast once a week food is always delicious We had the mother-in-law pick up the order. The next day we had noticed we had been double charged $130+ we took all necessary documents back to the store to prove it. The girl at the counter went through there EFT transactions for the day but as I was watching she scrolled down to the transaction then quickly scrolled back up and showed us the screen and said no it’s not there. We then had to grab the machine scroll down half a screen and bang there it was. Then another worker comes over screaming causing a scene in another language got quite heated.   We ordered a vegetable fried rice got home and had meat in it , called straight away and was told it was our fault we clearly ordered the correct food in person. Staff were rude and refused to fix the mistake that that had made and wanted to charge us extra to fix the order. Staff member hung up on us. Have lost a loyal customer. Never again

  It’s a quick stop to eat in melton Food is nothing fantastic but nothing bad either it’s a long day at work can’t be bother cooking getting food om the way home sort of place. The staff well there English is minimal and very pushy to when it comes to choosing what you want, there is no indoor seating so it’s grab food and go, get a pair of chopsticks and you get a death stare.

  Chips are of the cheap variety. Half are edible, half are not. Homemade fish cake was very salty, mostly potato, not much fish. Diced onion in it was raw. The crumb coating was perfection though. If they could get the inside right it would be a winner.

  Decided to try them out last night as they supposed to have won an award for their Fish and Chips. We ordered two pieces of crumbed fish, small chips and two scalloped potato’s. NOT impressed could have wrung the oil from the scalloped Potato’s to do an oil change on my ute, the chips we had about 2 each and through the rest away as they where so soggy they where disgusting, the fish wasn’t to bad.   Disappointing for all the hype and price. Works burger didn’t even have bacon on it. For $12 it really should. The bun was way too big for the beef patty so half the burger was just bread. Seafood, chips etc were good without being amazing though. Fish and chips used to be good value for money, gone are those days.

  Ordered 2 pieces of crumb fish n medium chips, the fish was so dry and over cooked couldn’t eat it even with the lemon squeezed over it and the chips weren’t far behind it. Making it worse I paid $23 for it.

  Got a tradies pack from here, not really expecting much, and was quite pleasantly surprised . Pack was too much for me to eat 🙂 Perfectly cooked. Polite and Friendly staff. Potato cakes are home made, not production. Fish is sliced a decent thickness so it does not go dry and rubbery when cooked. This shop had staff who where mostly adult and a good mix of both men and women. A very nice change from the other shops who only employ young girls.

  Staff tried their best to find seats for us on waiting list, patiently answering the phone reservation request and explaining situation kindly to us. Service at restaurant were attentive and friendly and gave good recommendations.
  
  Festive Martini – so Cute and yummy. Another table of leaving customers even casually chatted with us about how enticingly it was served as they checking out.
  
  Seafood feast, crayfish, steak – all hit the spot, including the sides like spiced potatoes, roasted potatoes and fries that came with the dishes.

  The atmosphere was pleasant and cozy. The food was tasty and satisfying. However, the service fell short of expectations. It was a bit strange when a trainee placed plates on top of our menus. Also, despite the booking indicating 5 people, the table was too small, making the dining experience a bit cramped. While I understand space constraints, it was slightly disappointing. Nevertheless, overall experience was enjoyable.

  This was an amazing dining experience for our Sunday evening. We had just arrived into Launceston and luckily Rupert & Hound is open later on Sundays for an 830PM booking.
  
  The service and food was exceptional, Adam had great knowledge of the food list and their specials.

  Oysters Natural Entree Squid Atlantic Salmon Twice Cooked Pork Belly Eton Mess Tiramisu
  
  All were delicious, fresh and extremely well cooked
  
  Plus the Mango Mojito and the Christmas Punch were a nice festive touch.

  Service was amazing! First time I have been to a restaurant and they came around exactly when we finished our drinks and asked if we wanted more. Usually we are waiting around in other places and have to go up because they aren’t as attentive. This restaurant though!! Love it. All the staff were very professional and kind. Food and drinks were quite nice. I had the eye fillet and my partner had the pork belly ?

  Great location looking on to the River, very friendly service and the food is of a good standard. Had a few starters, Garlic Cheesy bread, Scallops and the R&H Squid which was the best of the three, perfectly cooked. Had the Scotch Fillet for main, was cooked just how I like it and seemed like a good quality cut of meat. Also enjoyed a cocktail and liked that they do have smaller bottles of wine available.

  Fish (crumbed) was excellent, delicate, fresh, tasty, well cooked. Chips were freshly cooked and moreish! Calamari soft and beautifully cooked. Ordered online and when picked up, had no wait time. Excellent! Thank you.

  The service was the only good thing. The fish was not cooked properly we got 0ne battered it was dripping of oil half missing the batter and the other two crumbed well if you could call it crumbed, the sea food stick was not even cooked at all the potato scallops where just dripping with oil and not battered properly with the oil dripping from the scollops they looked sponges , the chips looked very yellow in colour and looked terrible but they did taste ok. The meal was the worst fish and chip meal I have ever had in my life and recommend no one ever go there very high chance of getting food poisoning. But this is a shame because it was once one of my favourite fish and chip shops but it was 12 months ago that I had been there until last night.
