Shopping at Coles in Australia can be a convenient and enjoyable experience. Here are some tips and tricks to enhance your shopping trip:
Plan your shopping list: Before heading to Coles, make a list of the items you need to purchase. This will help you stay focused and save time in the store.
Check the catalog: Coles releases a weekly catalog with special offers and discounts. Browse through the catalog to find any deals on items you regularly purchase.
Download the Coles app: The Coles app is a handy tool that allows you to create shopping lists, view recipes, and even access exclusive discounts. It also provides users with personalized offers based on their purchasing habits.
Sign up for a Flybuys card: Flybuys is Coles’ loyalty program that rewards customers with points for their purchases. These points can be redeemed for various rewards such as discounts on future groceries or even flights.
Be mindful of unit prices: Coles displays the unit price of each product on the shelf label. This allows you to easily compare the cost per unit of different brands or pack sizes and make an informed decision.
Shop at quieter times: Coles tends to be busier during peak hours, such as weekends and evenings. If possible, try to shop during quieter times to avoid long queues and have a more relaxed shopping experience.
Bring your own bags: Coles supports environmental sustainability and charges a fee for single-use plastic bags. Remember to bring your reusable bags or purchase them at the store.
Check for markdowns: Coles often marks down perishable items, such as fruits, vegetables, and baked goods, nearing their expiration dates. Look out for these items for potential savings.
By following these tips and tricks, you can make the most out of your shopping experience at Coles in Australia, saving both time and money.

The 4 Best Woolworths near Newcastle

Woolworths Newcastle West
Address: 23 Steel St, Newcastle West NSW 2302, Australia
Asked a staff member to cut a chicken in half for me, and she said that she was busy and to come back in 10 minutes. Came back in 10 minutes, and then she started carrying on about having to do it. It was like it was a real effort for her. So I grabbed a full chicken and didn’t bother her anymore with my requests. Unfortunately, and from what I have seen so far, is that customer service in Newcastle is not very good. Would give Woolworths Newcastle West 0 stars if I could. I am a paying customer, and I expect good customer service at the very least.

Always a pleasure shopping at Woolworths. They really are the fresh food people, they live up to this mantra. In fact for me, it’s very simple their oppositions colour is red which means stop, whereas their colour is green and it means go! The price of all items in all supermarkets is getting completely out of control, I hope that they know how much the average Australian are struggling. Still my go to place!

Just in store and saw a young attendant take a half chicken baked at 9.40 am and change packet to 11.30am. This is dangerous. The chickens in oven we’re not ready so there is no way a cold half chicken was ready at 11.30.

I have been shopping there for around six years now, the staff are wonderful and the store is well established.
Woolworths Charlestown Square
Address: 30 Pearson St, Charlestown NSW 2290, Australia
We came here on Thursday 20th July 2023 at 1:30pm and again at 1:45pm as we normally do to get our food shopping done and after we finished we left and went to the chemist and then realised we had forgotten a couple of things so went back 1 item was to purchased at the customer service desk but we ended up leaving without all the items we went back for due to the rude and disrespectful customer service behaviour we copped from some young women who claimed to be a manager who definitely should not have that job title and or be in customer service she’s very rude and argues and calls customers liers and doesn’t know how to treat older people and people with disabilities with respect and curtsy,
Clearly her higher male store manager doesn’t want to do anything about it when a official complaint is made to the Woolworths customer complaints line he said he will chat with them but that is all he would do to clear it up this woman needs to loose her job before the store starts loyal customers no compassion or empathy from either staff member and they’re very judgmental and treats everyone including older people and customers with disabilities like theives and criminals,
Probably be avoiding this store from now on but otherwise will not be getting served by this young lady again ,
Please start treating all your customers as you want to be treated it goes both ways we be polite and respectful towards the staff members as expected and these people need to be respectful and polite towards customers as well,
This store manager and staff change around has gone bad this time please bring back the previous manager. ?
Thanks Aimee Stromeier

Anyone who has seen my reviews in the past knows I don’t hand out praise often or unless absolutely deserved and a Woolworths store is more likely to be a target and Charlestown Woolies is no different. However, after doing the weekly shopping this past Sunday my partner and I have nothing but praise for the checkout operater we were fortunate enough to be blessed with. Hayley was polite, professional, efficient, used common sense and was fast. 15 out of 10. I would say promote her but that would take her away from the checkouts. At the very least she should be a staff trainer.

When it comes to choosing a shopping destination, many factors come into play. One major decision consumers face is whether to shop at a discount grocery store like Aldi or a traditional market. Both options have their own pros and cons, and it ultimately comes down to personal preferences and priorities.
Pros of choosing Aldi:
Lower prices: One of the main advantages of shopping at Aldi is its lower prices. The store focuses on providing quality products at affordable prices by implementing cost-saving measures, such as charging for grocery bags and requiring a deposit for shopping carts.
Private label brands: Aldi offers a wide range of private label brands, which are often cheaper compared to national brands. These store-branded products provide a more budget-friendly option without compromising on quality.
Efficiency: Aldi is known for its efficient store layout, where products are displayed in their shipping boxes. This reduces the need for extensive stocking and keeps overhead costs lower, contributing to the store’s affordable pricing.
Limited selection: While this may be seen as a con for some, Aldi’s limited selection can be advantageous for shoppers who find too many options overwhelming. It can also lead to faster shopping trips.
Eco-friendly practices: Aldi encourages shoppers to bring reusable bags and provides options for recycling their packaging waste. These initiatives contribute to reducing environmental impact.
Cons of choosing Aldi:
Limited brand variety: Since Aldi primarily focuses on its own private label brands, shoppers who prefer specific national brands may not find them at this store.
Packaging preferences: Some shoppers may have packaging preferences, such as wanting to buy products in specific sizes or materials, which may not always be available at Aldi.
No online shopping: Unlike traditional markets, Aldi does not offer online shopping options, which might be inconvenient for those who prefer to shop from the comfort of their own homes.
No local specialty products: Traditional markets often showcase local produce, homemade goods, and specialty items that Aldi may not carry. Shoppers looking for unique or regional products may prefer traditional markets for a wider selection.
Shopping experience: While some shoppers appreciate the no-frills approach of Aldi, others may prefer the ambiance and customer service provided by traditional markets.
Ultimately, the choice between Aldi and a traditional market depends on factors such as pricing, brand preferences, shopping experience, and convenience. Considering these pros and cons can help consumers make an informed decision based on their individual needs.

The store has got a variety, however, could be a little more organised…the check out service needs improvement, a simple “Hi” “Bye” makes a big difference and also scanning in a polite way would seem that the items are not being thrown at…we were served by a lady whose service was not really impressive and felt it could improve

Absolutely disgusted, on what Authority have they been given permission to demand to look into your private hand bag at the checkout – absolute despicable complete breach of the Privacy Act…. I totally agree with checking grocery bags/ shopping bags you have in your trolley, but your personal handbag- totally beggats belief – despicable unlawful practice from a delusional grandiose uneducated check out chick. Management needs to polish up on correct lawful, legal procedures before someone takes them to court…..

A really nice, spacious store but you guys need to set up the trolley collection in the carpark… there were only coles trolleys in the bays outside.
I was running behind for an appointment today and I had to run the trolley back to the store, which took ages so I didn’t lose my trolley key. It added so much stress.

We had gone to a restaurant nearby so it was convenient to shop at Woolworths Dandenong Junction. Plenty of car parking and not far to walk to supermarket entrance.
The supermarket is large with many aisles. I think you would find any item you were looking for there. I used self serve to pay for my goods. The young lady attending to the customers using that service was quick to smile say hello and took the basket I had used to keep area safe and clean. Easy location from my home to shop.

Zoom Carwash Alderley
Address: 119 S Pine Rd, Alderley QLD 4051, Australia
It’s in the details, it’s in the “small things”. It’s not “a gimmick”, if it makes a difference.
Customer retained, loyalty granted, outstanding dedication to consistency in service
rewarded.
Very experienced Team Leader (if Not supervisor), showed such a level of diligence, care and attention to detail to the car before ours that he was able to change my mind on my first visit to this carwash …from getting Zoom’s base cost auto drive thru wash… to 2x tiers above that instead… before he even spoke a word to me.
Then after I was impressed by his sincerity and humility upon speaking to him about my order and payment — we were able to experience the “bubblecano” (bright red light & others WITH foaming bubbles) after he observed without discussing with me[positively] that our newly turned 7yo Son was in his car seat on the backseat.
This small, but impactful and memorable gesture (which our son really loved & enjoyed, used to hate carwashes) ensured that I and the 2 other cars also in our household, return to Zoom Carwash Alderley for our regular carwashes.
Impactful in the fact that these small gestures are “caring service” …this is what makes you choose to Support Small Locally own business,
rather than “the man” with enormous marketing budget.

(Strongly recommended, but suggestions to shop owner and car owner)
Nice clean job and friendly staff. The best car wash I have seen so far in Brisbane.
(For car owner)
When pick up the car, it’s still recommended to check if some spot they are missing, they are willing to fix it.
(For shop owner)
Improvement to suggest
1. Please add a note to the working sheet to indicate if the side mirrors automated. In 3 of 5 times, the staff in the end of tunnel try to unfold the side mirror with hands. This is an unpleasant experience.
2. Please move the stuffs around in the boot if it’s not too trouble to get a full vacuum. Once, I left a box of inside boot and I find out after I left that the area around and under the box is not vacuumed.
In overall, this is still the car wash I would recommend.

A Comprehensive Guide to Using a Self-Service Car Wash
Using a self-service car wash can be a simple and cost-effective way to clean your vehicle. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to use a self-service car wash:
Locate a Self-Service Car Wash: Use search engines or apps to find a nearby self-service car wash station.
Prepare Your Vehicle: Remove any personal belongings, trash, or loose objects from the car’s exterior.
Choose Your Service: Most self-service car washes offer different cleaning options, like soap, rinse, wax, etc. You may need to insert coins, bills, or a credit/debit card to select the desired service.
Pre-Rinse: Before applying soap, use the high-pressure rinse to remove loose dirt and debris.
Apply Soap: Select the soap option and use the wand to spray your car. Start from the top and work your way down, covering all areas.
Scrub if Necessary: Some stations provide a foam brush. You can scrub your car to remove stubborn dirt. Be gentle to avoid scratching your car’s paint.
Rinse: After scrubbing, choose the rinse option to wash away the soap. Again, start from the top and work your way down.
Wax (Optional): Some self-service car washes offer a wax option. Apply this if you want a protective coating on your vehicle.
Dry Your Vehicle: Use the provided air dryer or a microfiber towel to dry your car. Drying by hand can prevent water spots.
Vacuum Interior (Optional): Some locations have vacuum stations to clean your car’s interior. Insert coins or pay as required.
Inspect Your Vehicle: Do a final walk-around to ensure all areas are clean and to your satisfaction.
Follow Safety Guidelines: Always adhere to the instructions and warnings provided at the car wash station. Wear appropriate clothing, and be mindful of slippery floors.
Leave the Bay Clean: If there’s a trash can, dispose of any garbage. Put away any provided tools like brushes back where they belong.
Exit Promptly: Be mindful of others waiting and exit the wash bay in a timely manner.
Remember, every self-service car wash might have slightly different equipment and procedures, so take a moment to read any posted instructions or ask for assistance if needed. Self-service car washes are typically open 24/7 and can be a convenient way to maintain your car’s appearance.

She kept us well informed of the research evidence and the reasons/mechanisms for why certain foods were important (or were best to avoid) – which helped alot with motivation. She was super flexible so we never felt like we might “get in trouble” if we treated ourselves. With Jeanette’s help we improved our ivf success from having 0 healthy embryos to having 10 healthy embryos at our most recent ivf cycle! I highly recommend Jeanette to anyone wanting to improve their general health but in particular for those going through infertility.

Thank you Jeanette for introducing me to the low chemical/RPAH diet. My headaches and migraines are highly complex and I’ve been working through various treatments for many years. Going on this diet was the first time I was able to see a true connection between foods and my headaches. Now that I understand food chemicals I’ll be able to modify my diet to help avoid my food triggers and reduce the severity of my migraine attacks. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to understand their food triggers for a medical condition.

As well as seeing Alice for consultations in Queanbeyan I also regularly see her at Kingston for her body scan service. I recommend these to all my friends! Through the combination of early consultations with education and now these regular body scans I managed to get to my weight goal with sustainable changes. With her help I don’t feel like I’m sacrificing to reach my goals and Alice’s positivity always leaves me feeling encouraged to continue these long lasting changes. The detail you get from the scans are much more valuable in understanding your body rather than using basic scales at home.

It’s got most of the main shops. Like many other shopping centres, there are quite a few empty shops but they are slowly attracting more shop tenants.

I met Rohan and found him to be a genuinely caring gentleman. I was made to feel comfortable. He took my concerns seriously and was compassionate and interested in my situation from a mental and emotional perspective. I felt listened to. I felt surprised and comforted that he understood that it was not just about food but that I needed a nutritionist who believed that my mind and emotions drove my behaviour. I received professional service and a summary of the interaction with goals, including getting blood tests to be thorough. Thank you, Rohan. I am hopeful and grateful.

Very happy with my progress with Rohan. I came to Rohan without any specific issues, just wanting to optimise my health. With Rohan’s guidance we have been able to make serious inroads into some health markers that I thought we wouldn’t be able to change due to genetics etc. Highly recommend.

Rohan is friendly, thorough and determined in his approach to get to the bottom of any health concern being presented to him. He has a wealth of knowledge and goes beyond the standard range of care provided by most health practitioner’s. I have benefited greatly from his assistance, and aspects of my health have markedly improved as a result of his direct and thorough approach, along with helpful follow ups that ensure any issues are appropriately managed with a suitable treatment plan. Highly recommended for anyone looking for someone who is passionate and experienced in getting to the bottom of their health concerns.
