Beautiful garden to visit. Small cafe with simple food, a couple of wraps & a toasted sandwich, which were tasty & staff friendly. Paths very wheelchair friendly. Some unusual plants, with gorgeous flowers. Small hothouse. Heritage listed, towering trees. Some activities advertised. Also guided tours, which I would like to do in the future. I would have liked to access a booklet or some printed material about the history of the gardens, including yarns. This botanical garden must have some stories to tell.

Beautifully manicured garden that’s not too big nor small. Just the right size for my aged parents to work comfortably. Wheelchair friendly. There was a lot of mosquitoes and bugs flying around that was annoying but it’s a park. Probably given.

As an avid plant lover this place was paradise. Beautifully manicured gardens with volunteers buzzing about keeping the place looking smick. A lovely place to take a picnic and enjoy the many flowers and large shade trees. Nearby boasts a play ground and a little cafe for drinks and snacks. Easy parking

Beautiful Botanic Gardens within few kilometres from Canberra city centre.

Bus tour was good which cost us $8 per person for adult and if you have kids $5 per kid. Old lady driver had vast knowledge of flora and fauna of botanic gardens. This garden has all the plants and trees available around the Australia.

Little dense rain forest and red botanic garden are the highlight of this garden.

Lots of kids activities during the school holidays.

Wonder place visit, great walking trails to explore a big range of flowing plants & trees…

The rainforest area is a beautiful and cool area to walk through in summer. Just watch your footing with snakes! The bird life is amazing!

The desert area is the red centre piece of Botanical Gardens…

The Cafe at the entrance is a great place to grad a drink or a feed if you had forgotten to pick them in…

Also a great spot to take the kids and have a picnic and relax with good views…

They have lots of parking which is about 4 dollars an hour. Their is a visitor centre. A large Cafe. They have a rainforest area. A large lawn, a walk to the summit, a rock garden, lots of local animals such as birds and lizards.

Not really good for kids, no parks or interactive things to do. Most of it is shaded. Currently a lot of it is under construction.

Would recommend for the view, Cafe and or picnic.

Not many prettier places I’ve been. The most relaxing place to draw and write, but also to hike if you’re in the mood for something more strenuous. A great place to visit any time, with anyone. I’ve spent hours and hours here for an amazing day out

Mount Lofty Botanic Garden is an absolute treasure in the heart of South Australia. If you’re a nature lover or simply seeking a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle, this garden is a must-visit.

The moment you step foot inside, you’re greeted by a stunning array of native and exotic plants meticulously organized in beautiful landscapes. The well-maintained trails and pathways make it easy to explore the garden, and each turn reveals a new surprise of colors and scents.

The views from the top of the garden are breathtaking, especially when you visit during spring when the flowers are in full bloom. It’s a photographer’s dream, and every snapshot captures the natural beauty of this place.

The educational displays and signage are informative, providing insights into the unique flora of the region. It’s not only a visual feast but also a learning experience for all ages.

Whether you’re an avid gardener, a hiking enthusiast, or simply someone who appreciates the tranquility of nature, Mount Lofty Botanic Garden offers a serene and rejuvenating experience. I could spend hours here, and I plan to return many times in the future. Highly recommended!

Don’t miss the chance to visit this botanical haven—it’s a true gem of South Australia.

It’s a pretty and peaceful garden to explore. Very spacious with large variety of plants. Nice spot for weddings or picnics. Saw a number of kangaroos roaming about. Admission is free. I would recommend parking in the lower carpark as the upper one is quite steep to get to and is a long way from the main sights.

Lovely park! Easy parking with toilets. Stunning views. An abundance of flowers, bushes and trees. If one starts at the upper carpark all trails lead downhill. They are steep! Getting back to your vehicle will take considerably longer time, then it took leaving it. Still well worth the treck.
