    The State Library of New South Wales, part of which is known as the Mitchell Library, is a large heritage-listed special collections, reference and research library open to the public and is one of the oldest libraries in Australia. Established in 1869 its collections date back to the Australian Subscription Library established in the colony of New South Wales (now a state of Australia) in 1826. The library is located on the corner of Macquarie Street and Shakespeare Place, in the Sydney central business district adjacent to the Domain and the Royal Botanic Gardens, in the City of Sydney. The library is a member of the National and State Libraries Australia (NSLA) consortium. The Mitchell Wing of the State Library of New South Wales building was designed by Walter Liberty Vernon, assisted by H. C. L. Anderson and was built from 1905 to 1910, with further additions by Howie Bros in 1939; by FWC Powell & Sons in 1959; and by Mellocco Bros in 1964. The property was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999. Work began on the Macquarie Street Wing in 1983 and it was opened in 1988.

      Lovely library, neat and well presented shelves, easy to look for books. Lots of space to sit, fantastic decorations, pretty chill to read and work. Lacking in English Classic books but I don’t really mind that. The children section bother me so much as they were packed and noisy, the parents did not even bother and I had to stood up and tell them to keep it down, not much help tho. Otherwise, the staff were extraordinary, attentive, professional and extremely helpful.

      A stunning medium-sized library catering well to all audiences. There’s a cafe on ground level but the library itself is kind of underground – but still with plenty of natural light. A highlight is a suspended small aircraft. Couldn’t ask for a better place for a work or a study session!

      Very nice modern library at a convenient location.

      Its quiet and well equipped with power sockets that support usb c ports. Desks have height adjustable and chairs are comfortable for reading. Meetings rooms and computers are available.

      Hope opening hours on weekends can stay to 6pm too, especially Saturday.

      The library provides a nice and quiet study environment, but it is very busy throughout the year, except for the summer holidays. When I went, there was nearly no place for me to sit and get work done (had to sit on one of the sofas). Best to come in as early as possible, does get busy quickly.

    The Sunshine Coast is a peri-urban region in South East Queensland, Australia. It is the district defined in 1967 as "the area contained in the Shires of Landsborough, Maroochy and Noosa, but excluding Bribie Island". Located 100 km (62 mi) north of the centre of Brisbane in South East Queensland, on the Coral Sea coastline, its urban area spans approximately 60 km (37 mi) of coastline and hinterland from Pelican Waters to Tewantin. The area has several coastal hubs at Caloundra, Kawana Waters, Maroochydore and Noosa Heads. Nambour and Maleny have developed as primary commercial centres for the hinterland.       If you’re going to make us leave our umbrellas at the front then maybe keep an eye on them? Umbrella got stolen the moment old mate (Brad I think) left to do something else. Two girls at the front talking and not doing anything couldn’t even keep an eye on the front door. (Blonde girl in red and average looking girl with darker hair were just having a chat hiding from customers). I was only there for maybe 45 minutes..

      I love Caloundra Library. Being an avid reader, I visit the library quite often. The staff are extremely helpful and will actually stop whatever they’re doing to help anyone. I asked one of the staff a question yesterday. Although this lady was obviously very busy, she stopped what she was doing and spent almost half an hour helping me to download the apps I need to listen to audio books. I can’t recommend Caloundra library enough.

With a population of 139,902 at the 2021 census, the city contains most of the sparsely populated Northern Territory's residents. It is the smallest, wettest, and most northerly of the Australian capital cities and serves as the Top End's regional centre. Darwin's proximity to Southeast Asia makes it a key link between Australia and countries such as Indonesia and East Timor. The Stuart Highway begins in Darwin and extends southerly across central Australia through Tennant Creek and Alice Springs, concluding in Port Augusta, South Australia. The city is built upon a low bluff overlooking Darwin Harbour. Darwin's suburbs begin at Lee Point in the north and stretch to Berrimah in the east. The Stuart Highway extends to Darwin's eastern satellite city of Palmerston and its suburbs. The Darwin region, like much of the Top End, has a tropical climate, with a wet and dry season. A period known locally as "the build up" leading up to Darwin's wet season sees temperature and humidity increase. Darwin's wet season typically arrives in late November to early December and brings with it heavy monsoonal downpours, spectacular lightning displays, and increased cyclone activity. During the dry season, the city has clear skies and mild sea breezes from the harbour. The Larrakia people are the traditional owners of the Darwin area and Aboriginal people are a significant proportion of the population.       Main reception staff: I asked how I use the computer as I was new the area. she repeated to me where the library was, a little abrupt. Library staff, male member nice however, female member very loud taking to customers and didn’t seem to care.

      This is so far from being a library if it wasn’t for the books and the wifi available. So incredibly noisy…There are kids watching movies all the time and not with headphones…It feels to be at the kindergarten. I just can’t believe this…I mean, it’s nice to offer a space for children but make it separate or at least noise-proof. Whoever designed that space must have been drunk.

      Spent around half an hour trying to find a change table for my baby at YAM today, I had two of the lovely library women helping me look because they also had no idea where the heck the change tables were located. Of course the down stairs one was apparently locked behind a rolling door and couldn’t be accessed! And so I had to go to the one on level 3… which was not big enough to fit a pram in the room and the change table was obviously not thought through because the height was ridiculously high and hard to lift my baby up to change his nappy.

      Think through your designs before building them. Anyone shorter than me would not be able to reach their baby on the change table.

    Lismore is a city located in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia and the main population centre in the City of Lismore local government area, it is also a regional centre in the Northern Rivers region of the state. Lismore is 734 km (456 mi) north of Sydney and 200 km (120 mi) south of Brisbane. It is situated on a low floodplain on the banks of the Wilsons River near the latter's junction with Leycester Creek, both tributaries of the Richmond River which enters the Pacific Ocean at Ballina, 30 km (19 mi) to the east. The original settlement initially developed as a grazing property in the 1840s, then became a timber and agricultural town and inland port based around substantial river traffic, which prior to the development of the road and rail networks was the principal means of transportation in the region. Use of the river for transport declined and then ceased around the mid-twentieth century, however by that time Lismore (which was elevated to city status in 1946) had become well established as the largest urban centre in the region, providing its surrounding area with a range of services. The city is also located on the Bruxner Highway which crosses the Wilsons River at Lismore, and was formerly a stop on the Casino-Murwillumbah railway line. It is the home of one of the three campuses of Southern Cross University. With its low-lying position adjacent to the Wilsons River, which can rise rapidly following periods of high rainfall in its catchment, the centre of Lismore is susceptible to flooding, although it is partly protected by a system of levees and flood gates. Noteworthy recent floods occurred in 1974, 2017 in the aftermath of Cyclone Debbie and the worst ever in 2022. A budget was announced for additional flood mitigation works in November 2018. At the 2021 census, the urban population of Lismore was 28,816.

      Large shopping complex in Lavington. Parking is good with under cover parking and a top level parking also with some cover. There are a number of chains such as Woolies, Big W, EB Games, Reject ship etc plus a whole lot of service companies such as Hume bank, hairdresser, chemist, doctor surgery, nail salon, post office and massage. It is reasonably clean and reasonably modern. You can pretty much get anything you need in one shop. Recommend. Photos I took were during the COVID 19 pandemic and they were doing a great job of keeping businesses open and social distancing happening.

      Not as good anymore shop has hardly any atm machines now there almost all gone the place needs more security theres constent fights and brawls in there place could use a bit of a update looks kind of plain and could use a few things to make it look nicer but could use more security so people feel safe walking around there. This town has got so bad for crime and fighting it’s not funny……..
