      I ordered a Croque Monsieur, a Lemon meringue tart and a flat white with an extra shot for lunch. I would have probably given the food 3 1/2 stars because it came out cold and it had to go back to be reheated. The bottom was untoasted and slightly doughy.

      The tart was soggy and all meringue with not much lemon curd. In saying that the coffee was decent and the service was friendly. I would return to try an eclair or baguette.

      A nice patissiere cafe with good coffee and baked goods, but the English of the staff member working there seemed a bit limited. The macarons are very good. It would be nice if they offered to heat the croissants, but perhaps they are unable to do so. It would also be nice if tomato sauce or relish were offered with the beef pie, but perhaps that is not an option either. I do like the coffee and food there so I will be back to sample some of their other items.

      Not what I was expecting. Coffee was good but almond croissant was leathery perhaps yesterday’s stock. Shop is quite dirty and floors have not been washed with soap in ages. Even the display cabinets have dirty glass. Manager needs a kick up the bum.

      Really enjoyed macarons there ! Fav were passion fruit, lemon merengue, and pistachios. Ended up getting 2 more dozens next day after I tried it. Croissant are okay. Almond croissant did not impressed me at all! But small cakes were great ! There are few tables outside which nice to sit down to have a coffee and enjoy little sweets. Place has sandwiches but have not tried any so can’t tell.

      My suggestion to the cafe is maybe to change glasses for tall drink for something more suitable because it is almost impossible to hold that glass with a hot drink. By the time the glass will get to a manageable temperature, your drink is too cold. Maybe have a large cup for that option.

      We received an email earlier this week (sent after office hours) informing us that they are closing the Family Day Care services from 31st May. Without any consultation with families that engage in the services and also the educators themselves, they have made an executive decision based on their current business planning for future development of the Y (supposedly to be a NON-FOR-PROFIT ORGANISATION that services the community!). We have relied upon the Y Family Day Care since returning to work 12 months ago following maternity leave after our second son. We find our educator suited very well to our children’s need and our busy family schedule with shift works being health care professional ourselves. the Y should declare their interest in making profits from business plans if that is their current philosophy, rather than trying to hide under the pretence of providing “opportunities for children, young people and the community to grow in body, mind and spirit”. We are very disappointed and upset with this decision as it affects our family greatly and it is a reflection on how the organisation is driven by greed and power, not one for the benefit of the children at all.

      For people want a quick description. This is basically Vietnamese town similar to China town. Great place for shopping fresh food or just browsing in general. There is a little bit of everything for everyone. _ Heaps of parking space nearby _ Lots of fresh groceries and fruit option _ Lots of street food and drink options _ Have restaurants if you want a sit down _ Have heaps of public sitting area inside the square _ Near woolies in Inala Plaza if you want shopping in there as well Other notes: _ Really need better signage. The market walking path is not really visible from the car park. _ No designed smoking area so people just smoke everywhere. Very smelly and not kids friendly. _ Toilet facilities need better maintenance.

      Inala Fish Market is the one the freshest and have the best products comparing with the other fish market in the Inala mall. You will find a lot of different seafood varieties.

      Staffs are quite funny and friendly with their attitude and jokes.

      The only problem is the payment. They only accept cash payments. But it is not a huge problem.

I use Fair Fuel app to check price trends, and then lock in the 7-11 and then fill up on the week-end. Only once had the price been even. Plan ahead. The staff are also pleasant, the coffee not bad at all. And I am fussy about my ☕️. The regular night shift chap at Bris East always cheerful! How does he do it?

      Could not be happier with my experience here. Phoned around 11am after having decided that I needed a hair change, and needed it now! Carlos, one of the owners, promptly took matters into his hands to make sure I was taken care of and immediately scheduled me in just an hour later. Carla was my hair dresser and she was absolutely lovely. She made sure to clarify my hair goals to achieve exactly what I was looking for. The salon itself was gorgeous, and the service and kindness by everyone is absolutely unmatched!! They offer you drinks and snacks and make sure you are well looked after the whole time. My experience was so pleasant, the results were beautiful, and I can’t explain how much I appreciate them fitting both me and my friend in so last minute. It’s a shame I don’t live in Brissy because this salon would definitely be my go to. Thanks so much all of you!! Hopefully I will have a chance to come back soon. Beautiful salon, beautiful staff!

      Thank you Lucie! Love my curly hair cut & the full experience/service was wonderful. Not one staff gawked at how big or frizzy my hair was & Lucie knew exactly how to handle it. It’s always daunting walking into a new salon as a curly hair gal, not knowing how people will react to my hair. But they didn’t hesitate with any part of the service. I walked in with a lot of frizz & walked out half the volume but super defined curls. My curls are very prone to frizz so Lucie didn’t use a hand held hair dryer. This has kept my frizz minimal. She also fixed my colour, which I didn’t book for but she threw into the service anyway. The 3hr appointment in total cost around $350 & you certainly get your money’s worth. They even offer light refreshments throughout the service. Top tier for sure! Thanks Lucie ?

      The whole experience at Elysium is fantastic. I have curly/frizzy hair and I showed up in a pretty dire state. Michelle is so amazing. She gave me one of the best haircuts I have ever had in my entire life. I love it so much. She made something that had become unmanageable for me into something I love. If you are looking for a curly cut, know you are in good hands.
