If you need anything from a pharmacy then Chemist Warehouse is definitely the place to go. Their prices are up to 50% less than anywhere else including your local chemist. They have a huge range of items from personal products to vitamins, etc. The staff are very helpful and so this place is highly recommended.

I have used CW as a secondary pharmacy outlet several times, over many years & most recently, having had excellent service & help re several national/statewide medication shortages, where my primary pharmacy were, on these occasions, unable to assist me.
I am exceptionally grateful for the assistance as provided & do not hesitate to highly recommend Chemist Warehouse in these regards, along with superb service & the very wide range of goods, fragrances, vitamins/minerals, sports & activity supplements & for the always friendly advice from all levels of staff.

As someone who works in the retail industry I was disgusted at the service that was given today while shopping in the Cairns store.
I had been only in the store for a short amount of time trying to navigate around stock cages that take up most of the walk way, boxes of stock on the floor, staff so task orientated filling shelves forgetting to actually serve the customers and their needs that I made my way back to the front of the store into cosmetics.
I felt from the moment I stepped foot into the cosmetic area I was targeted for having a small fashion backpack on (smaller than A4) and having fashion hair colour (half back/half pink)
I had two employees follow me around the cosmetic area, no once did I take my backpack off but every aisle I walked into one of the two employees followed me. I’m actually trained in loss prevention so I know when I’m being followed and targeted. There is also other ways to check up on someone who you suspect is stealing, maybe the management should brush up on those skills for their staff.
I gave no reason for this type of behavior, I’ve only moved to the area in May and been in that same store maybe three times before so I shouldn’t be a high risk watch out for her kind of customer. I’m in my mid 30’s but I do look younger that what I am, so maybe they may have mistaken me for someone else?
I went to purchase afew products, waiting in line the lady before me had a big pram not one staff member asked to check her pram and my mother who was before me didn’t get asked to check her bag either but after I paid the tall Asian male employee very rudely asked to see in my backpack.
I did so reluctantly as I felt there was no need as he is only a checkout operator, and not security plus I hadn’t stolen anything or given any reason to be suspicious of me.
After this incident I won’t be coming back and I know in the grand scheme of things it won’t effect their bottom dollar but word of mouth does.
Customers like to browse, sometimes just going into a store and trying perfumes on makes someone’s bad day that little bit better so if you intimidate customers like what happened to me today, other stores like Priceline will happily take our money.

So to all the staff and also to whoever manages and owns this particular franchise – hats off to you all for doing such a great job. I’ve been to other franchises such as in Brisbane and they are no where near as good 🙂

If you have items that you no longer need or want, donating them to an op shop (opportunity shop) in Australia is a great way to support a local charity, help the environment, and give someone else the chance to find a bargain. Op shops accept a wide range of items, including clothing, accessories, furniture, household items, and toys. Here are some steps to follow when donating to an op shop in Australia:
1. Choose a charity: There are many charitable organizations that operate op shops in Australia, such as the Salvation Army, St. Vincent de Paul Society, and Red Cross. Decide which charity you would like to support.
2. Research donation guidelines: Check the charity’s website or contact them directly to find out what items they accept. Op shops generally prefer clean, good-quality items that are in working condition.
3. Sort and pack your items: Separate your items into different categories, such as clothing, accessories, household items, and toys. Place them in bags or boxes that are easy to transport.
4. Find a local op shop: Use the charity’s website or a search engine to locate the nearest op shop to you. Some charities have multiple op shop locations, so choose the one that is most convenient for you.
5. Drop off your donation: Take your sorted and packed items to the chosen op shop during their opening hours. If you have a large or heavy donation, you may want to call ahead to make sure they can accommodate it.
6. Obtain a receipt: Ask for a receipt when you drop off your donation. This will allow you to claim a tax deduction if the charity is registered as a deductible gift recipient (DGR).
7. Consider additional support: If you are unable to drop off your donation, some charities offer pick-up services for larger items. You can also consider volunteering your time or making a monetary donation to further support the op shop and the charity’s cause.
Donating to an op shop in Australia is a simple and effective way to give back to your community. It not only helps those in need but also reduces waste by giving preloved items a second life. By following the steps above, you can easily donate to an op shop and make a positive impact.

A tight turn into the car park when you have busy traffic following. There’s a car parking space very close to the entry making it very hard to locate and then quickly turn in if you haven’t been before. Once in ,to leave a donation you drive in past sales area through active forklift operational area. Once parked there are marked bins to leave your donation and then leave back onto main road with again, car parked on main road close to exit blocking clear view for entry to live traffic. Very happy to leave donation for good cause but entry/exit a bit iffy.

What to Consider When Visiting a Barbershop in Cairns
Refuge Barbers & Apparel Cairns City in Cairns
When going to a barbershop in Australia, there are several things to consider to ensure a good experience and a satisfactory haircut. These considerations include:
Location: Choose a barbershop that is conveniently located for you. Consider factors such as distance from your home or workplace, parking availability, and accessibility by public transportation.
Reputation: Look for a barbershop with a good reputation. Read online reviews or ask friends and family for recommendations to find a barbershop known for its quality haircuts and professional service.
Services offered: Different barbershops may offer different services. If you have specific requirements, such as a particular haircut or style, make sure the barbershop you choose offers these services.
Barber’s expertise: It is important to consider the expertise of the barbers working at the shop. Look for barbers who have experience in cutting and styling the type of hair you have and are knowledgeable about current trends and techniques.
Cleanliness and hygiene: A clean and hygienic environment is essential for any salon or barbershop. Make sure the barbershop you choose maintains proper cleanliness by regularly sanitizing equipment and tools and following hygiene protocols.
Price: Consider the price of the services offered at the barbershop. While it is important to find a shop that fits your budget, remember that cheaper options may not always provide the best quality. Look for a balance between affordability and quality.
Atmosphere: The atmosphere of the barbershop can greatly affect your experience. Consider the ambiance and vibe of the shop to ensure you feel comfortable during your visit.
Appointment or walk-in: Some barbershops may require appointments, while others may accept walk-ins. Depending on your preference and availability, choose a barbershop that offers the option that suits you best.
Additional services: Some barbershops offer additional services such as beard trims, shaves, or grooming products. If you are interested in these services, look for a barbershop that provides them.
By considering these factors, you can find a barbershop in Australia that meets your needs and ensures a pleasant and satisfying haircut experience.

Wide range of food, they really look if you need anything at the fresh cut stuff and when asking someone for help they are really helpful and understanding. Great!

Always seem to be half stocked shelves down at least 4 isles, plus alot of fresh fruit and veggies not always that fresh. It’s luck of the draw some days

The manual wash was very good cost $20 for my ranger. Has the full selection of wash and wax. The laser wash for 16 was a bit disappointing but good for a quick wash. There is a dog wash and the usual vacuum.

On Alfred Street, Western Artirial Road just West of Raintrees Shopping Centre. Did a full auto wash with under car and high pressure soap. Quite impressed with 3 different prices for auto wash. Also has several self wash, vaccume bays. Our wash was $16. I thought it was well priced.

The best and most modern laser touchless car wash in cairns. Very happy, highly recommended. Cleaned the car up after a month sitting under trees and debris.

Clean modern easy to use all the facilities. My dogs love their fortnightly baths. Even in winter. The water is warm. $10 a wash and dry.

This place is ok for taxis and people with money on their cards. Not my favourite place. I stopped in here for the first time. Most expensive drive through wash out of all the car washes in Cairns. However, the attendant was around and was willing to help if we needed it.
This place is cashless. Even the vaccuums use cashless payment.
E.g. Ultimate wash $18
$2 plus .20c fee = $2.20 for vacuum use.
I prefer using coins for vac personally. It was an extra $1 that i did not want to spend.

Excellent car wash. I use the self serve bays which I find to be great value for money. Everything always seems to be working and everything easy to use. Great opening hours, great facility. Vacuum does not reach around the whole car though which is a bit of a pain. Requires some flexibility to try get it over the other side of the car. Disappointing that it is card only (which means CC surcharge and also cannot do just an extra minute, you have to pay for the whole next slot given it is card only & in increments – has led to me rinsing and washing my car much longer than needed). You kinda have to decide whether it is going to be a short wash or a long wash and wash your car at speed accordingly. Overall happy and a repeat customer 🙂

Decided to go to this car wash whilst on holidays recently in Cairns to give my car a clean. Good facility. Easy to use. Though no coins taken but card only. A few bays available for use. Someone onsite working there (the day I went). No issues to fault.
