National institution with pleasant staff. Plenty of people about but parking was fine and the ‘crowd’ didn’t interfere with the experience as the place still seemed empty. Entry to the main (non-exhibition) gallery is free to the public though you’ll need tickets – which you can get at the entrance.

Some very interesting pieces and exhibits, but too much of the place was between empty awaiting new exhibitions. Good stock of books in the shop, but nearly all the prints/posters were of artworks not in the museum at the time. Seems to me if you have active exhibitions and can produce prints etc. of them for sale, then they should be in the shop.

Very good gallery with lots of representation of first nations people and cultures. Their main exhibition when we visited was “Know our Names”, it was alright if a bit bland. The permanent exhibitions were excellent however and it was great to finally see blue poles in person. 7.5/10 Excellent.

Nice gallery. Spent about an hour there. There is an paid underground carpark and free open air car park. Free ticket is required to enter the gallery. Backpacks are not allowed but they provide free lock locker. There is also a sculpture garden outdoor.

My mother wanted to check out some of the aboriginal art, and she was not disappointed. The gallery also has some great works from European masters, and other Australian painters. It’s totally worth seeing

Visited the National Museum of Australia for the Egyptian Exhibition, and it was a mesmerizing experience. The collection was vast and well-curated, showcasing a rich tapestry of Egypt’s ancient history. Each artifact told a unique story, immersing visitors in the depths of Egyptian culture. The exhibition layout was thoughtfully designed, ensuring a smooth flow. Interactive elements added a contemporary touch, making it engaging for all ages. We visited the museum for the Discovering Ancient Egypt exhibition on 27 December. Clearly Christmas is not a good time to visit. The carpark was crazy and difficult to find a park with people driving like idiots to get a space. The Egyptian exhibition was reasonable at $25 adult and $20 concession. Tickets can be purchased online. The exhibition itself was beautifully presented and informative. There were just too many people crammed into the space to see everything without someone breathing down your neck or coughing on you. Even wearing a mask, I felt it was just too crowded. The line up for the mummy room took 15 mins to get in, with the line snaking through the display. You couldn’t spend any time in there. The exhibition is well worth visiting for anyone interested in Egyptian history, just go at a less busy time.

the NMA each time we come to Canberra. This time it was to see the Feared and Revered exhibition – which is EXCELLENT!!! 10 stars out of 5. The museum itself has changed a bit since we were last there but was lacking anything really new to see (in fact we think there are less displays than our last visit). The rotating theatre is gone, and so is the more kid focused space where your art was put into a computer. Still worth the visit but maybe only if you are seeing an advertised exhibit.

Attended a Birthday party in first week of December 2023 which was set up after hours. Mia was great and so nice with kids. Something I couldn’t ignore was the lady who was constantly making face at most of us, was super weird. I hope she wasn’t the manager, I would not like to deal with her if I planning to throw my kids bday parties.

Great play area for kids, perfect for rainy or really hot days. Nice play area for toddlers although no gate for a while to close it off like they used to. Depending who’s working, people are waiting at the gate to enter and staff take a while to notice as they are too busy cleaning and doing other things. You should always keep an eye on your little ones as mine always tries to follow another family out the exit and I’m not too sure that any staff notices.

Lollipops is such a great place for playdates where children can easily spend hours playing on the different equipment which caters for a range of ages. Some favorites are the jumping castle and tea cup rides which run regularly throughout the day. The staff are always so friendly and helpful and consistently provide excellent service. They also have a variety of food and drink options. It is conveniently located in the majura park shopping centre which means we can also do groceries and other shopping straight after.

Canberra ( KAN-bər-ə) is the capital city of Australia. Founded following the federation of the colonies of Australia as the seat of government for the new nation, it is Australia's largest inland city and the eighth-largest Australian city overall. The city is located at the northern end of the Australian Capital Territory at the northern tip of the Australian Alps, the country's highest mountain range. As of June 2022, Canberra's estimated population was 456,692.The area chosen for the capital had been inhabited by Aboriginal Australians for up to 21,000 years, by groups including the Ngunnawal, Ngunawal and Ngambri. European settlement commenced in the first half of the 19th century, as evidenced by surviving landmarks such as St John's Anglican Church and Blundells Cottage. On 1 January 1901, federation of the colonies of Australia was achieved. Following a long dispute over whether Sydney or Melbourne should be the national capital, a compromise was reached: the new capital would be built in New South Wales, so long as it was at least 100 mi (160 km) from Sydney. The capital city was founded and formally named as Canberra in 1913. A plan by the American architects Walter Burley Griffin and Marion Mahony Griffin was selected after an international design contest, and construction commenced in 1913. Unusual among Australian cities, it is an entirely planned city. The Griffins' plan featured geometric motifs and was centred on axes aligned with significant topographical landmarks such as Black Mountain, Mount Ainslie, Capital Hill and City Hill. Canberra's mountainous location makes it the only mainland Australian city where snow-capped mountains can be seen in winter; although snow in the city itself is uncommon.
As the seat of the Government of Australia, Canberra is home to many important institutions of the federal government, national monuments and museums. This includes Parliament House, Government House, the High Court building and the headquarters of numerous government agencies. It is the location of many social and cultural institutions of national significance such as the Australian War Memorial, the Australian National University, the Royal Australian Mint, the Australian Institute of Sport, the National Gallery, the National Museum and the National Library. The city is home to many important institutions of the Australian Defence Force including the Royal Military College Duntroon and the Australian Defence Force Academy. It hosts all foreign embassies in Australia as well as regional headquarters of many international organisations, not-for-profit groups, lobbying groups and professional associations.
Canberra has been ranked among the world's best cities to live in and visit. Although the Commonwealth Government remains the largest single employer in Canberra, it is no longer the majority employer. Other major industries have developed in the city, including in health care, professional services, education and training, retail, accommodation and food, and construction. Compared to the national averages, the unemployment rate is lower and the average income higher; tertiary education levels are higher, while the population is younger. At the 2016 Census, 32% of Canberra's inhabitants were reported as having been born overseas.Canberra's design is influenced by the garden city movement and incorporates significant areas of natural vegetation. Its design can be viewed from its highest point at the Telstra Tower and the summit of Mount Ainslie. Other notable features include the National Arboretum, born out of the 2003 Canberra bushfires, and Lake Burley Griffin, named for Walter Burley Griffin. Highlights in the annual calendar of cultural events include Floriade, the largest flower festival in the Southern Hemisphere, the Enlighten Festival, Skyfire, the National Multicultural Festival and Summernats. Canberra's main sporting venues are Canberra Stadium and Manuka Oval. The city is served with domestic and international flights at Canberra Airport, while interstate train and coach services depart from Canberra railway station and the Jolimont Centre respectively. City Interchange is the main hub of Canberra's bus and light rail transport network.

The girl at the counter who not wearing spectacle is very unhelpful. Was there to pick up order and waited a long time. Asked her a few time to help check order but she just say wait. Ended up waited 40 minute and went to the back to check myself to find out, order not in.

Just a add-on, never even get a apology from the said worker after everything. Can’t believe this is the kind of standard I getting. Must still compliment the lady with braid and spectacle, she handle my complaint well by settling everything and offer a apology even though it’s not her problem. Hope to see more staff like her around, at least your service part will be presentable.

Ordered MAMA Wok Noodles for 2 pax at $13. Received 3 big meat balls, 1 chicken cutlet, 3 prawns and 1 clam. The pot of noodles were quite little, seems like only 1 pack of noodles. The soup was quite salty and the noodles were really hard. Not as good as I thought it’ll be ?

Second time here. We ordered the medium previously and we tried the jumbo today. It turned out to be disappointing because there were barely any other meat/seafood other than noodles. The medium one had prawns, clams, meatballs etc. but the large one only came with noodles, sausage and fishball.

Other dishes can be a hit or miss. Hor fun is decent but other dishes like this fried baby Sotong had more onions than Sotong.

The staff are relatively polite but service is haphazard. Expect wrong/forgotten orders, lack of utensils, quick dismissal of your request/queries.

Good place if you wanna consume a lot of mama noodles with tons of processed food but don’t recommend if you are looking for decent tze char.

Mumbo jumbo hotpot without the additional seafood is more than enough to feed 10 people, prawn paste chicken is nicely flavoured and crispy. Mantou were thinly crisp on the outside and very fluffy on the inside. Onion omelette is nice, however they can caramelize the onion a little more to enhance its flavour.

      BBQ/Picnic Area Review ⭐️⭐️⭐️

✅ carpark ✅ Toilets at carpark ✅ picnic area ✅ with BBQ ? Beach

Yarralumla – Yarralumla Beach – Beach (No Playground)

BBQs – 1 dual top BBQ474 , both cooktops facing towards carpark.

Picnic Tables – 1 with BBQ474 on concrete and under tree shade. -2 nearby BBQ on grass and under tree shade.

Also Available – bins, water tap on BBQ , toilets, 3 square benchs near beach.

Distance to beach– BBQ is nearby to water, but far from kids swim area of beach. Views to beach are obstructed by trees.

Fantastic fishing area and it’s always calm to come to the bay. The natural scene is even better. With the fantastic view and calm atmosphere, the Yarralumla Bay never disappoints. The only thing are the half-people high bushes – in summer, too much mozzi around.

The team we dealt with at Coveyancing Canberra (Anne, A J and Stacey) were a pleasure to work with. They provided a very efficient and effective conveyancing process, keeping us well informed along the way as needed (we live in Victoria) – and all in a very courteous and timely manner. Honestly I have nothing but raving reviews about Aero Accounting Group!! From the moment we stepped foot into the firm, we have been greeted with smiling faces and the most helpful accounting services I’ve ever experienced. Rob & the Aero group are so attentive – they really care about who you are, what your goals are, and how best to help get you there. I can 100% trust the team that’s backing me and my partner for our future. I feel secure and confident about that future now, thanks to Aero. We wouldn’t rather be with any other accountants – I recommend them to everyone I know!!

Excellent, no fuss, great attitude, easy to work with, very efficient and a pleasant experience over all. I’ve had bad experiences in the past with other accountants and with so many components to manage and keep track of, I often feel overwhelmed and anxious at tax time. Aero Group were non judgemental, reassuring and took all of the stress out of this process for me so I will be using them again this year, for the third year in a row.

My partner and I have utilised Aero Group for the second year in a row. We have continued services with Deepika and couldn’t be happier with the support she has provided us. If you are looking for an accountant who is passionate, honest, and always striving for the best outcome, I highly recommend Aero Group.
