Such a pleasant experience even just signing up, and a huge thanks to Amanda (I’m sorry if I got the name wrong from the memory) for being so upbeat, professional and super friendly!

First I tried to join another gym in the area, I won’t name the gym, but it was laughable experience at best. Staff didn’t know what the prices include, how to sign up and what to do. The answer to my questions was “it is what it is…”

Then drove here, walked in, initially wanted to sign up my dad only, but ended up signing up my whole family! Thanks again Amanda, you are a legend, keep doing what you doing!

      Cheers, Vadim

Before writing this review I read the last few previous reviews and it says it all. It’s a good gym, not going to lie but the membership is a scam. When you sign up you’re not signing up to the gym, you’re signing up for a scam and ridiculous fees as well. If you sign up for a 1 year membership and cancel within 1 year you pay a huge cancellation fee but after 1 year they keep taking your money even though you don’t renew your membership they still charge you then after the 1 year membership and you decide to cancel you still have to pay a cancellation fee. They don’t want you to join this gym to improve your overall health, they want you to join so they can take your money. Reading the previous reviews it seems like I’m not the only one saying this.

I do not normally leave reviews, but to help out a lot of people, I would. I would give 0 stars if I could. Whoever is thinking of signing up with these people, take your money and your peace and subscribe to a gym that is fair and not a money-grab focussed gym that has ridiculous cancellation fees, it is a financial trap, don’t get manipulated into signing up especially for the coaching zone. They hardly reply to phone calls and emails too and I absolutely would not recommend any ‘Genesis gym’ in Australia or in the world. I am incredibly disappointed I have never been to a gym with policies and administration that was this bad and selfish. They don’t support their customers, they just take your money and never reply to any enquiries, just horrible. If I could go back in time, I would think twice before signing up. I am signed up to a totally different gym now, I am very happy with anytime fitness.

I don’t usually write google reviews but I thought it would be worth passing on pros/cons from my experience. I usually feel really bad for saying anything remotely negative, but think it is worth passing on information.

Pros: -The team in Coffs are lovely and were super helpful, going out of their way to answer questions when signing up. – There is a great range of fitness classes available to choose from at a good rate.

Cons: – Horrid cancellation policy. Please be aware of this before you sign up. It states that there is a $150 cancellation fee + 30 days of notice (ends up being over $200). But even though you have to pay for the 30 days notice, you don’t get to continue to access the gym for that time despite paying for it. You can only access until the next billing cycle. This makes no sense to me logically, as if I have paid for the service so I would assume that I could attend. Really disappointed. – Very loud music throughout the building, can make it hard to listen to your own music or feel relaxed at all.

They never reply to your emails or call back. Do not get into a contract with them as they will just keep charging you even though you have cancelled your membership.

Spent around half an hour trying to find a change table for my baby at YAM today, I had two of the lovely library women helping me look because they also had no idea where the heck the change tables were located. Of course the down stairs one was apparently locked behind a rolling door and couldn’t be accessed! And so I had to go to the one on level 3… which was not big enough to fit a pram in the room and the change table was obviously not thought through because the height was ridiculously high and hard to lift my baby up to change his nappy.

Think through your designs before building them. Anyone shorter than me would not be able to reach their baby on the change table.

Possibly one of the best shopping centres I’ve ever been in! Nice vibes, relaxing centre, lovely ladies toilet, and I totally dig the brown leather armchairs and sofas scattered throughout the centre if you wanna rest your feet! I’m sitting on one right now as I write this! This centre features a large FREE library – donate & take whatever books you please! There’s a community piano & if you ask the concierge, they will turn down the centre’s music so everyone can hear you play! Also the huge whale sculpture suspended from the ceiling is nifty.

New South Wales (commonly abbreviated as NSW) is a state on the east coast of Australia. It borders Queensland to the north, Victoria to the south, and South Australia to the west. Its coast borders the Coral and Tasman Seas to the east. The Australian Capital Territory and Jervis Bay Territory are enclaves within the state. New South Wales' state capital is Sydney, which is also Australia's most populous city. In December 2021, the population of New South Wales was over 8 million, making it Australia's most populous state. Just under two-thirds of the state's population, 5.3 million, live in the Greater Sydney area. The Colony of New South Wales was founded as a British penal colony in 1788. It originally comprised more than half of the Australian mainland with its western boundary set at 129th meridian east in 1825. The colony then also included the island territories of Van Diemen's Land, Lord Howe Island, and Norfolk Island. During the 19th century, most of the colony's area was detached to form separate British colonies that eventually became the various states and territories of Australia. However, the Swan River Colony was never administered as part of New South Wales.
Lord Howe Island remains part of New South Wales, while Norfolk Island has become a federal territory, as have the areas now known as the Australian Capital Territory and the Jervis Bay Territory.

This is a little stand situated in an otherwise vacant area in the shopping center. When we went there, the stand was unattended, most likely due to Christmas holiday closure. However, the booklets are still there for you to grab if needed. This is pretty good because you don’t need to wait till particular hours before going there to grab the most updated booklets, which is what most people come to visitor information centers for anyways. I do suggest adding holiday hours in case anyone does want to talk to someone to avoid disappointment.

The 2019–20 Australian bushfire season or Black Summer was one of the most intense and catastrophic fire seasons on record in Australia. It included a period of bushfires in many parts of Australia, which, due to its unusual intensity, size, duration, and uncontrollable dimension, was considered a megafire by media at the time. Exceptionally dry conditions, a lack of soil moisture, and early fires in Central Queensland led to an early start to the bushfire season, beginning in June 2019. Hundreds of fires burnt, mainly in the southeast of the country, until May 2020. The most severe fires peaked from December 2019 to January 2020.
The fires burnt an estimated 24.3 million hectares (243,000 square kilometres), destroyed over 3,000 buildings (including 2,779 homes), and killed at least 34 people. According to the University of Tasmania’s Menzies Institute, bushfire smoke was responsible for more than 400 deaths, reported by the Medical Journal of Australia. In December 2023 the Sydney Morning Herald reported a large volume of smoke in the Sydney basin resulted from the so called Gospers Mountain “megablaze” after the NSW Rural Fire Service lost control of back burning in November and December 2019. [1] It was claimed that three billion terrestrial vertebrates – the vast majority being reptiles – were affected and some endangered species were believed to be driven to extinction. The cost of dealing with the bushfires was expected to exceed the A$4.4 billion of the 2009 Black Saturday fires, and tourism sector revenues fell by more than A$1 billion. Economists estimated the bushfires – Australia's costliest natural disaster in history – may have cost over A$78–88 billion in property damage and economic losses. Nearly 80% of Australians were affected by the bushfires in some way. At its peak, air quality dropped to hazardous levels in all southern and eastern states, and smoke had been moving upwards of 11,000 kilometres (6,800 mi) across the South Pacific Ocean, impacting weather conditions in other continents. Satellite data estimated the carbon emissions from the fires to be around 715 million tons, surpassing Australia's normal annual bushfire and fossil fuel emissions by around 80%.From September 2019 to March 2020, fires heavily impacted various regions of the state of New South Wales (NSW). In eastern and north-eastern Victoria, large areas of forest burnt out of control for four weeks before the fires emerged from the forests in late December. Multiple states of emergency were declared across NSW, Victoria, and the Australian Capital Territory. Reinforcements from all over Australia were called in to assist fighting the fires and relieve exhausted local crews in NSW. The Australian Defence Force was mobilised to provide air support to the firefighting effort and to provide manpower and logistical support. Firefighters, supplies and equipment from Canada, New Zealand, Singapore and the United States, among others, helped fight the fires. An air tanker and two helicopters crashed during operations, killing three crew members. Two fire trucks were caught in fatal accidents, killing three firefighters.By 4 March 2020, all fires in NSW had been extinguished completely (to the point where there were no fires in the state for the first time since July 2019), and the Victoria fires had all been contained. The last fire of the season occurred in Lake Clifton, Western Australia, in early May.There has been considerable debate regarding the underlying cause of the intensity and scale of the fires, including the role of fire management practices and climate change, which during the peak of the crisis attracted significant international attention, despite previous Australian fires burning much larger areas (1974–75) or killing more people (2008–09). Politicians visiting fire impacted areas received mixed responses, in particular Prime Minister Scott Morrison. An estimated A$500 million was donated by the public at large, international organisations, public figures and celebrities for victim relief and wildlife recovery. Convoys of donated food, clothing and livestock feed were sent to affected areas.

This is my favourite walk in Coffs Harbour! No other place i have found allows you to fully appreciate the majesty of the North Coast and Pacific Ocean in a mere half hour walk. Lots of black cockatoos here of a morning and wallabies on the walking trail every now and then which is very cool to see! Every person you pass greets you with a smile. And it is the best place to view the sunrise from the cliffs!

Beautiful walk that goes in forever if you’re that keen! Even on an overcast and cloudy day it was gorgeous. The walk is flat and paved, so offers v little challenge, if any, to those not fit. Not sure about disability access though, as getting to the walk appears to be from the beach.

Lovely forest. Rather out of the way. Lots and lots of little bush trails leading every which way. Lovely talk trees and the trill of cicadas everywhere. Bring insect repellent coz the bugs attack. But for those tough enough, at the end of the School Trail is a reward of a massive, unspoilt beach….

We parked the car at the Palm Crossing Trail and walked to the beach. On the way there were beautiful palm trees and a lot of birds to spot. If you want to drive the car to the beach, take Tuckers Rock Road. The beach was clean, deserted and breath taking.

Used to be great to come for a nice relaxing afternoon ride by the creek and enjoy the natural beauty.

now national parks have gone and spent who knows how much to erect massive eye saw steel hoops to block the odd cyclist and and bunch of chopped up logs and trees around the edge to stop anyone going around god forbid…. Penalties apply… Steps have been installed for who knows what cant tell me its for erosion another great way to spend money…? Great improvement ?

All in the name of some moth/butterfly and grass that noone really effected anyway because the scrub is so thick outside of the poorly maintained goat track that you stick to ….enjoyed riding it for years…. Another nice thing gone because of some miserable sooks

I went to view the 2019 Archibald Prize and found friendly staff and a large open well-lit space. All on ground floor so wheelchair accessible. I enjoyed the exhibition, didn’t see any gift shop (which I think are usually worth a browse at galleries), then strolled a couple of blocks to the second site for the remainder of the exhibition (in the nearby shopping centre). I understand that plans are well underway for a new much bigger space in between these two locations. I look forward to visiting again to experience that.

An excellent botanic garden that you should visit if passing by Cofs Harbour. Very close to the city. Lots of varieties of plants and different sections based on different countries or climates. It seems that there are still lots of improvements and new projects going on as well. I would definitely visit next time to see the changes. There is a large parking, toilet, and a cafe at the entrance. Also worth mentioning there is a small section at the entrance with pots and plants for sale at great prices.

Awesome place – a hidden gem in Coffs Harbour. Well maintained and family run. Great collection of plants, pretty big and well described and gives a great vibe. Must visit place for plant lovers

Nice and beautiful place. Well maintained and various plants and wildlife animals to see. It’s better than Sydney’s Botanical Garden. Great place to be.

Nice walk through the parklands. We loved the greenhouse, and being transported to Japan in the Japanese garden. Highlight was seeing a little bowerbird building his nest.
