Had suit dry cleaned and cost over $60. Very poor quality of dry cleaning. I could have ironed the trousers better. Could hardly see the cease in the trousers

Big and care about personal customers! Yes they looks much bigger than a general dry washing laundry but they accepted my urgent order which need to be finished the same day as I had an interview in the next day. The order was even finished much earlier than I expected! Good job Spotless, you can do!

Ensign Darwin are truly the best when it comes to customer service, when recently I forgot to pick up some very important garments, kylie and David went above and beyond to make sure I could pick up after hours to get them to the destination they needed to be. I will continue to use your service, you guys are true Territorians that have restored all my faith in why I love Darwin…. Thankyou

My wedding photos were taken on the beach and in the botanic gardens so the full layered skirt and train of my dress was really soiled. The team at Spotless did an excellent job and took a lot of care with the delicate fabric. Very pleased with the end result.

I had an expensive jacket (never worn) dry-cleaned recently and was dismayed when I realised it had shrunk considerably. Upon returning the jacket to Spotless, they did everything possible to find out why the shrinkage occurred. Kylie (customer service manager) took the time to explain to me in great detail the process that is executed in such an event. She went as far as providing me with insightful information such as fibre composition and manufacturing procedures. Kylie gave me as much information as possible to enlighten me about the unfortunate situation I found myself in. She filed a report that was sent overseas for analysis. The response was prompt and revealed to be a manufacturing fault. Again, Kylie explained to me the process to follow to claim a refund. To be honest, the quality of customer service provided exceeded my expectations. 10/10 or 5 golden stars – no less than this! I highly recommend Spotless Dry Cleaning. They look after you like royalty.

My stay here was abysmal. I was woken up on the first night at 1a.m. due to an evacuation alarm being falsely triggered and had to wait outside with everyone for half an hour while the firies did their job to ensure it was a false alarm. The fan in the bathroom didn’t work so I had to shower with the shower and bathroom door open (despite this, there was no visible mold I could find in the bathroom, only lots of rust). I had to change rooms TWICE because they smelt of human excrement. The bedding smelled like it hadn’t been changed since the last person and had a very thick coating of residue on all the sheets (likely from cheap washing detergent and poor-functioning washing machines). The carpet looked very dirty with lots of stains (they did not provide any slippers either). Hardly any of the typical items are provided (no toaster, no microwave, no cotton pads for makeup removal, no sanitary items or disposal bags, no booklet of instructions for tv/cooling unit, no bowls or utensils etc). The pools were uncomfortably warm with lots of loose bricks laying around and overgrown weedy gardens. Several of the pool towels provided had stains on them. I would strongly advise staying somewhere else.

Drive out to East Point to the Darwin military museum. It is a wonderful exhibit and history lesson. The drive out to East Point is really scenic and there’s a lot of places to stop and take photographs or enjoy a picnic lunch. The museum is worth the visit. It is very educational and the exhibits and recreation of the bombing of Darwin from historic photographs into a film is incredible. Highly recommend.

Today I took my 11 year old grandson to the DMM he said it has been his best day ever. Temp is 38′ ? however we went through every exhibition and he read most (time permitting) of the information that he could. I personally believe our young ones learn as much as they can about the history of war and Australia’s part in the hope that history does not repeat itself.

Well worth a look. Guided tours would be an advantage (if there was it wasn’t offered) and give the displays a good dusting. Educate the front desk staff what a veterans pension card is as both of them didn’t know. Presented mine and at first it was refused as they said it wasn’t a pension card. After showing them the smaller writing on the back (Vet affairs) was accepted

Vallisneria (named in honor of Antonio Vallisneri) is a genus of freshwater aquatic plant, commonly called eelgrass, tape grass or vallis. The genus is widely distributed in tropical and subtropical regions of Asia, Africa, Australia, Europe, and North America.Vallisneria is a submerged plant that spreads by runners and sometimes forms tall underwater meadows. Leaves arise in clusters from their roots. The leaves have rounded tips, and definite raised veins. Single white female flowers grow to the water surface on very long stalks. Male flowers grow on short stalks, become detached, and float to the surface. It is dioecious, with male and female flowers on separate plants. The fruit is a banana-like capsule having many tiny seeds.Sometimes it is confused with the superficially similar Sagittaria when grown submerged.
This plant should not be confused with Zostera species, marine seagrasses that are usually also given the common name "eelgrass". Vallisneria has arched stems which cross over small obstacles and develop small planters at their nodes.

I liked this place better than expected. We were originally going to give it a miss as there were a few exhibits not open. However we were at a loose end in Darwin on a Sunday. We got discounted tickets online through qantas, so it was under $100 for a family of four. It was good that you get a wristband and can go in and out as often as you like.

We particularly loved the reptile exhibit, and the meet the reptile show.

Stepped into the wild side at Crocosaurus Cove in Darwin and it’s a full 5 stars from me! The place is an absolute gem for wildlife enthusiasts and families looking for an adventure. The star attractions, the crocs, are magnificent and it’s a thrill to see them up close. It’s not just about observing; it’s about learning and appreciating these powerful creatures in a safe environment.

The staff are knowledgeable and passionate, ensuring everyone has a great time while educating visitors about crocodile conservation.

Whether you’re watching them glide through the water or witnessing a feeding frenzy, it’s an unforgettable experience. Crocosaurus Cove is a must-visit when in Darwin – where else can you come face-to-face with the largest reptiles on earth?

Excellent experience in the Cage of Death really interesting to get so close n personal without being eaten by a 5.5m saltwater crocodile called Wendell. These crocodiles were problems in the wild and rather than be euthanised they are rescued and kept in captivity. No they can’t live together these big males as crocodile are cannibals! Highly recommend the experience and the VIP tour where you get to hold Fluffy and feed Burt who has one eye is a bit slow but was once a star in various things such as Crocodile Dundee. Loved filming others in the 3 inch Perspex tube which is entered into from above and on a crane gantry which moves along and lowers you down to their chosen crocodile. They always attempt to ensure they respond. You get 15 minutes down with their chosen crocodile. It’s not scary or adrenaline pumping it’s fascinating to see how they function beneath the waterline. Age from 16 to ? As you have to be able to climb a few steps down a ladder and up again. They do not completely submerge you so you can sit in bottom and drop down with goggles on. Give it it try if your in Darwin it was the highlight of my trip!

Loved it for the most part!

All staff were super lovely and helpful. Especially loved the lady doing the reptile feeding. She was awesome and so knowledgeable!

The big crocs are absolutely massive and it’s so awesome being able to see them under water as well. Most other croc attractions we’ve been to have been in very murky water, so it was so cool being able to see them in the water.

Reptile house was also awesome, lots of great lizards, snakes and frogs to have a look at and all seemed relatively happy

The big fish tank was a little disappointing just because it was so dark we could barely see into it, but I guess that’s stimulating the natural environment so ?‍♀️

I was excited for the little croc feeding but i believe that area was closed. Also the upper floor with a sign that said “crocs and turtles” was closed too. I would have thought perhaps with a few attractions closed maybe entry should be a bit cheaper to accommodate

Awesome place to take kids for the day. Has heaps of shows, and interactive stuff for them to enjoy while learning. Staff are friendly. Pass is for the whole day, so if you’d like to leave and come back later on in the day, they give you a wristband that permits re entry. Big croc feeding shows are great, and very educational.

I had read some really negative reviews about the park prior to going out there but having poked my nose around most corners of the estate today I have to say what a lovely place. Well maintained, good enclosures, healthy well looked after animals birds and reptiles. People go on about the tiny cramped conditions the crocs are in – if they are referring to the breeding pens of course they aren’t huge – there has to be some oversight and control over what is happening. I’m not an expert but I know lizards very well and if they are distressed, unwell or sick they stop eating and it shows – sunken eyes, lethargy, dull scales, generally malaised. I did not see one single animal bird or reptile in that park that appeared to be suffering and believe me i look for it. We had a lovely couple of hours there. Chatted with the rhinoceros iguanas (very good listeners!) Watched the birdlife, saw some dingoes which if I’m honest after a few years of working in the central desert they are not a favourite, but they were relaxed, in good condition and well cared for that much was very obvious. There is no welfare issue at this park and your money goes to supporting the animals so consider it money really well spent. I had a lovely break from normal routine just ten minutes from Central Darwin. What a gem of a place. We will be going back there.

There are a lot of crocs and also other animals but some animals are in small enclosures, so this place doesn’t suit people who care about wildlife being confined in a small place. The fact that it can be done in 2 hours, it might/ might not be worth it to go, depending on how much time you have in Darwin. The location is central, not too far from the airport. The Wild life park in Berry Springs is better and bigger.

Great day out!! Myself and my partner paid the additional fee to go on the cruise to get up close to the Crocs. It was such a great experience and the guides were incredibly knowledgeable. The guide advised that the additional cost for the cruise greatly helps fund research into the Crocs and it’s a great way to give back!

The 10 Biggest Local Market in Darwin, Australia

Darwin, a vibrant city in the Northern Territory of Australia, is renowned for its multicultural atmosphere and lively markets. Among the many attractions that draw visitors to Darwin are its local markets, which offer a unique blend of local produce, artisan crafts, and cultural experiences.

From bustling food markets to charming craft fairs, Darwin’s local markets provide a glimpse into the city’s diverse heritage and vibrant community. Whether you’re looking for fresh organic produce, handcrafted souvenirs, or a taste of local delicacies, there’s sure to be a market that caters to your interests.

Darwin ( DAR-win; Larrakia: Garramilla) is the capital city of the Northern Territory, Australia. With a population of 139,902 at the 2021 census, the city contains most of the sparsely populated Northern Territory's residents. It is the smallest, wettest, and most northerly of the Australian capital cities and serves as the Top End's regional centre.
Darwin's proximity to Southeast Asia makes it a key link between Australia and countries such as Indonesia and East Timor. The Stuart Highway begins in Darwin and extends southerly across central Australia through Tennant Creek and Alice Springs, concluding in Port Augusta, South Australia. The city is built upon a low bluff overlooking Darwin Harbour. Darwin's suburbs begin at Lee Point in the north and stretch to Berrimah in the east. The Stuart Highway extends to Darwin's eastern satellite city of Palmerston and its suburbs.
The Darwin region, like much of the Top End, has a tropical climate, with a wet and dry season. A period known locally as "the build up" leading up to Darwin's wet season sees temperature and humidity increase. Darwin's wet season typically arrives in late November to early December and brings with it heavy monsoonal downpours, spectacular lightning displays, and increased cyclone activity. During the dry season, the city has clear skies and mild sea breezes from the harbour.
The Larrakia people are the traditional owners of the Darwin area and Aboriginal people are a significant proportion of the population. On 9 September 1839, HMS Beagle sailed into Darwin Harbour during its survey of the area. John Clements Wickham named the region "Port Darwin" in honour of their former shipmate Charles Darwin, who had sailed with them on the ship's previous voyage. The settlement there became the town of Palmerston in 1869, but was renamed Darwin in 1911. The city has been almost entirely rebuilt four times, following devastation caused by a cyclone in 1897, another one in 1937, Japanese air raids during World War II, and Cyclone Tracy in 1974.

Rapid Creek Market is a delightful spot for weekend veggie and fruit shopping. The market’s vibrant atmosphere makes it a go-to place, especially with its fantastic coffee booth and delightful croissants. While the absence of the Indian stall was noticed, the samosas from there were definitely a highlight. It’s a pity they weren’t available this time. Overall, the market remains a top choice for fresh produce and enjoyable weekend treats, although it would be great to see the return of the Indian stall soon for those delicious samosas.

Canberra ( KAN-bər-ə) is the capital city of Australia. Founded following the federation of the colonies of Australia as the seat of government for the new nation, it is Australia's largest inland city and the eighth-largest Australian city overall. The city is located at the northern end of the Australian Capital Territory at the northern tip of the Australian Alps, the country's highest mountain range. As of June 2022, Canberra's estimated population was 456,692.The area chosen for the capital had been inhabited by Aboriginal Australians for up to 21,000 years, by groups including the Ngunnawal, Ngunawal and Ngambri. European settlement commenced in the first half of the 19th century, as evidenced by surviving landmarks such as St John's Anglican Church and Blundells Cottage. On 1 January 1901, federation of the colonies of Australia was achieved. Following a long dispute over whether Sydney or Melbourne should be the national capital, a compromise was reached: the new capital would be built in New South Wales, so long as it was at least 100 mi (160 km) from Sydney. The capital city was founded and formally named as Canberra in 1913. A plan by the American architects Walter Burley Griffin and Marion Mahony Griffin was selected after an international design contest, and construction commenced in 1913. Unusual among Australian cities, it is an entirely planned city. The Griffins' plan featured geometric motifs and was centred on axes aligned with significant topographical landmarks such as Black Mountain, Mount Ainslie, Capital Hill and City Hill. Canberra's mountainous location makes it the only mainland Australian city where snow-capped mountains can be seen in winter; although snow in the city itself is uncommon.
As the seat of the Government of Australia, Canberra is home to many important institutions of the federal government, national monuments and museums. This includes Parliament House, Government House, the High Court building and the headquarters of numerous government agencies. It is the location of many social and cultural institutions of national significance such as the Australian War Memorial, the Australian National University, the Royal Australian Mint, the Australian Institute of Sport, the National Gallery, the National Museum and the National Library. The city is home to many important institutions of the Australian Defence Force including the Royal Military College Duntroon and the Australian Defence Force Academy. It hosts all foreign embassies in Australia as well as regional headquarters of many international organisations, not-for-profit groups, lobbying groups and professional associations.
Canberra has been ranked among the world's best cities to live in and visit. Although the Commonwealth Government remains the largest single employer in Canberra, it is no longer the majority employer. Other major industries have developed in the city, including in health care, professional services, education and training, retail, accommodation and food, and construction. Compared to the national averages, the unemployment rate is lower and the average income higher; tertiary education levels are higher, while the population is younger. At the 2016 Census, 32% of Canberra's inhabitants were reported as having been born overseas.Canberra's design is influenced by the garden city movement and incorporates significant areas of natural vegetation. Its design can be viewed from its highest point at the Telstra Tower and the summit of Mount Ainslie. Other notable features include the National Arboretum, born out of the 2003 Canberra bushfires, and Lake Burley Griffin, named for Walter Burley Griffin. Highlights in the annual calendar of cultural events include Floriade, the largest flower festival in the Southern Hemisphere, the Enlighten Festival, Skyfire, the National Multicultural Festival and Summernats. Canberra's main sporting venues are Canberra Stadium and Manuka Oval. The city is served with domestic and international flights at Canberra Airport, while interstate train and coach services depart from Canberra railway station and the Jolimont Centre respectively. City Interchange is the main hub of Canberra's bus and light rail transport network.

I had a great experience dealing with Mark and his team. They offer a wide range of new bikes, and they also buy and sell second-hand bikes. I was able to get a good deal on a trade-in for a second-hand MTB. The staff here know their stuff and genuinely like riding, so their advice is right on the money. The after sale support has been great too. They were able to replace an inner tube valvue for me on the spot for no charge. (The valve was fine in the shop, but when I got it home I let the air out to swap a tyre, the tube was full of puncture resistant goo, which gummed up the valve as it came out. Not Bikes to Fit’s fault, but they were able to fix it for me, no problems). On the whole I will be happy to continue to shop here.

Love the classes available especially aerial yoga, Barre and yoga mastery. Booking classes is easy with their app. The instructors are lovely as are the office team. Super flexible with suspending membership if needed as well which is something not a lot of gyms are great with. Highly recommend giving it a go. Edit: I actually ended up having issues with the membership not being placed on hold correctly by a previous staff member. I also had major issue with the cancellation process as wasn’t advised by the same previous staff member that I had to go in-person to cancel membership when cancelling my month-month membership over the phone. This resulted in being charged for three months of which only one month was refunded by the owner “as a sign of good faith”. The membership terms on the website relate to NSW rather than NT consumer rights, and I wasn’t provided a copy of the contract on sign up so was unable to check the cancellation terms to cancel the membership correctly. This was really disappointing as the classes were great, but ultimately I would no longer recommend this gym due to paying for a time I understood my membership to have been cancelled. Tip: If you want to cancel your membership including if you pay extra to only provide 30 days notice to cancel membership, you have to go in and fill in a form.

Good facilities but when I tried to cancel my subscription the local sales manager didn’t respond. So I e-mailed an address i found online and even though I was told my cancellation was confirmed this local gym still continued to charge me without any kind of refund when I noticed. Keep an eye on your bank account if you sign up.

Worst gym service I have been in to. Called to cancel my membership which has expired 2 months prior. Gym kept charging fees even after advising the cancellation. Staff advised to come in and personally cancel the membership. However, staff on shift was not able to help at all. Called again during office hours and again, advised to come in to gym, AND AGAIN STAFF ON SHIFT DID NOT HELP AT ALL. From there, I kept receiving calls for payment in which I tried to resolve. OVERALL. Unhelpful. Gym isn’t that big, not much classes hence the cancellation of membership after expiry.

Such a great gym! We moved interstate and I had to leave this beautiful sanctuary behind unfortunately. Staff very friendly, personal and approachable. Very clean and modern. All the equipment you’d need. Can’t recommend enough.
