      Belmont LIbrary is strategically located with ample parking and shops nearby. The library is spacious and ready to get around. The staff in the library are helpful and eager to be of assistance. A pleasant place to be for your reading, printing and other library related needs.

      Today i went to this library, not living in this area, but i wantedto download borrowbox audio books. I spoke to the loveliest girl who helped me do everything. Unfortunately i did not get her name but she was fantastic, i hope you read this review because i came back twice to you, and you were just fantastic, so pleasant and did not mind how long it was holding you up.       It’s great to be a member and the library has so much to offer. Loads of books, computers, printing handy for your payslips these days and scanning. Even the latest news papers with a comfy sit down and read area. Staff are always happy to help I find. Thanks Belmont.

      It’s kinda sad economically and sociologically how many FOR LEASE signs are up in here these days (November 2023). Downstairs and upstairs too. I’ve been coming here since my first memories from 1973/1974, when there used to be a food court where Harris Scarf is now. Well, at least, that’s what 53 year old me recalls from 3 year old me. And Market Square has been here since Geelong was colonised back in the 1830s. And the empty stores, the closed stores have been a feature of Market Square since before Covid. Is it online shopping holding the blame? Home delivery? Yeh it’s a sad mystery.

      A very sad reminder of how much better this area was before this horribly ugly carpark of a building destroyed central Geelong. Yes, I know it was 1983 and many of us probably thought that we needed something new but this should be a reminder that we need to think very carefully before destroying several iconic streets and buildings in the future. ?

      No sidewalk sales on Melbourne Cup day like in previous years, dreary place to come to, one store in food court but good food, jb hifi the main store keeping the centre going. Management are and always have been useless sitting on their arses doing nothing useful, security- nowhere to be seen. Time to be sold to Westfield and get them to make it decent again

      The Pivotonian Cinema is a modest, single cinema venue (in the works of being extended to 2 cinemas) that screens hand-picked films from around the world.

      They have a fully licensed Candy Bar with a small but satisfying selection of local beer and wine. Snacks are limited but popcorn is abundant and I highly recommend the @patandstick ice cream sandwiches!

      There is a booth at the rear of the reception and stools at the bar if having a yarn and a laugh with the staff is your thing like mine ? Cinema seating is allocated and there is also a few bean bags at the front of the cinema if you prefer to stretch out and kick back.

      The Pivotonian is a fully accessible venue, serviced by 7 major bus routes. South Geelong station is also at the end of the street which are both convenient transport options as parking at the venue is limited.

      Pivotonian offers memberships, with discounted tickets and gift cards. Staff are laid back, sending out a very relaxed and welcoming vibe. A cool alternative to your usual main stream cinema experience.

      ‼️ Disclaimer: I was so busy eating my ice cream sanga at the beginning of the night and too busy talking to the stranger sat next to me at the end of the movie, that I literally forgot to get a photo of the actual cinema. I know, I know! ??‍♀️ So let’s get creative and use our incredible imaginations – think small but accommodating, cosy and intimate, with burgundy seating and lots of leg room!

      ? Fun fact: Pivotonian was the old name for the people of what we now know to be – Geelong! Known back in the Gold Rush era as Pivot City.

      Just about fifteen minutes of drive from the CBD of Geelong you find the Buckley Falls,we went there expecting to see something really small especially because it’s situated in the middle of residential area. But what we saw was totally different. The actual falls are so beautiful and flowing. It’s really strong and beautiful. The scenery is breathtaking. There’s a little hike to take you down the bottom to experience the best views. I Rea recommend this place it’s a great place.

      Love this gorgeous place. There is a lot to do here . Swim at the beach and don’t have to worry about crocodile as we have in northern Territory. Ferries wheel, candy floss , play ground, aerojumo, horse ride, wharf, restaurant,.

      If you come up here with kids you would need about the whole day.

      I love this space so much and recently went to one of the Adults Watercolor classes and had such a great time. The people there are doing a great job and it’s so good to see Geelong art showcased in the middle of town. We need more of this, but for now, I’m wrapt Geelong Illustrators exists and I will definitely be back. The art is also super reasonably priced, so it doesn’t take much to support a local artist.

      The kids enjoyed themselves at MoPA. Various activities for them to do, some were at certain times such as painting the car. It took an hour from Melbourne to get there and parking wasn’t a problem, and free. Easy to entertain the kids for 2h. They moved from activity to activity at their pace and went back to the ones they enjoyed a few times. The staff were friendly and were cleaning up after the session so the place was nice and clean.

      Oh my goodness, what a place! Next level awesome for kids fun time… Great location for adults and kids alike. (hard to take photos without kids, and makes it look strange… But you get the idea)

      Sensory magic everywhere – well designed safety conscience space – large variety of activities to suit different interests (and ages) – indoor and outdoor adventure – great use of a beautiful old building

      Seriously considering the membership, even though we live in Melbourne over an hour away. It was just so great! Thank you, we will be back!

      There were lots of activities, they have scheduled of activities for the 2 hours to make sure your 2hr visit is maximized. Friendly and helpful staff. My kids enjoyed every bits of it. Thank you for making this happen ?

      You definitely want to arrive on time for your session to make FULL use of the two hours, because it will not be enough! My kids aged 4, 6 and 8 all loved it, especially the water run, zoom room, and interactive colouring screens. Staff is amazingly helpful and friendly, I was there alone with three kids all spread out and they helped me keep an eye on them. We were lucky to find street parking right in front of the museum, but when it gets busy parking might be tricky. Cafe selection is very small and pricey, but kids will probably be too busy playing to eat anyway.
