      Kmart Burwood Visited on 9/2/2023

Kmart is great for ma y electrical items. Their home brand products are fairly reasonable and good quality.

      Visited on 6/8/2022

I have not been to this Kmart store for years, because there was a smaller one near my house. Furthermore, my home is well established, and nothing is ready for landfill.

The Kmart store is no longer a retail outlet; instead it is for online pick-up.

Kmart Burwood is a very huge store, very bright and well stocked. Besides clothing, bedding, it also sells electrical appliances, electronic accessories, home office needs, and even a garden centre. The staff are helpful and friendly; my wife and I enjoy our shopping experience. The proof is in our bill of purchase.

Rudest service by staff member Irene. This is the 2nd time i have come in 2weeks. Hoping it was a different person. I had a few items of clothing & office items. Wanted assistance using the ‘self-checkout’. Her manner was pretty poor for a service person. I left my items on the table and left. She didn’t even try to assist or stop me leaving.

Tomorrow Target will get my business. They cater to both self-serve & staff assisted customer counters.

Irene is definitely not suited to this job. Her manner, and tone are very poor.

If i could rate ZERO stars just for service i would.

Visited today, and the whole place absolutely wreaked of curry. No where in the store was there an area that didn’t wreak of it. I don’t know if someone scattered curry powder from one end of the place to the other, or someone tipped curry powder in the air vents or something, but it was sickening and we left because of the wreched smell.

Not to mention how disgusting the kids toy aisles was. There was rubbish all over the floor, half eaten food, and absolutly no respect for putting anything back on the shelves, they’re just thrown anywhere.

Never going back to this Kmart. It stinks, it’s messy, and it’s,staff being able to clean up is just as bad as the morons who can’t put things back where they found it when looking at something.

It’s K mart. Cheap and relatively good quality. This store is not that small compared to other K-mart. It has two entrances. When you go at night, you can only use entrance which is close to outside parking area.

Since Covid this store has gone down hill, never any staff on, always a total mess, no longer 24 hours and self service is a broken joke. Do better Kmart! Where is that community feeling gone. Just a messy lifeless store now.

Has got to be one of the most UNORGANISED and MESSY Kmart I’ve ever been to. Everything is just thrown around. There is not one neat and organised section.

The staff are never willing to help you when you ask and the staff at the checkout area bark orders at you.

The beauty section is always empty and nothing is in its correct spot.

Don’t waste your time and just go to the Kmart in Tarneit.

Update – I just got a call from Dr. Naggapan yelling at me for writing a review and saying (I quote) – “ I dont care if you had to wait for 40 mins, there is no need to come back, take your xray report and go someplace else”.

Back of my head says, that must be against his oath as a doctor but we are looking professionalism in the rare view mirror now. — Original Very very unprofessional practice by doctors. I had to wait 45 mins after my appointment time to be able to consult the Doctor. I could see him taking in addition phone consultations which were not scheduled because of which I had to wait for like an hour. Receptionists are good and polite but no ethical standards in the new medical staff.

Dr. Sumo Nagappan has been terribly dismissive towards my partner who came to seek support as her mental health was bad. He asked evidence for mental health stress, spoke condescendingly towards a paying patient who obviously came to the practice seeking help or at least support. He refused to review a past medical certificate on my partners phone, asked her to leave the room to print it out with the reception’s help all the while accepting the next patients. My partner was then dismissed again to leave until she “calms down” when she vocalised that her very real symptoms feel overlooked. He explicitly stated that she is wasting his time for other patients when a consultation appointment online does not even have a time window. Dr. Sumo Nagappan seems to only open his practice to write medical certificates and not actually offer support to his patients, as he verbatim told her “what a joke” as she was crying over his dismissive behaviour. You do not see your patients as people, and as a practitioner who writes that they are experienced with providing mental health supports, my partner’s experience with him has been super terrible. I do not make this statement lightly, evidence can be provided as best as my efforts. This experience with Dr. Sumo has caused it to be more difficult for people like my partner to seek help for their mental health. I ask that he removes “mental health” from the area of interest section of his profile. The receptionist was super kind and understanding but the medical professional’s behaviour was not patient-centred at all.

Those who don’t know, this is the new management and the new management and staff is not good at all. I came on a Saturday for a consultation, the doctor gave me a medicine which I didn’t ask for, I asked for a treatment, but he did not listen to me and when I had another consultation today, from a different doctor, showed him the medicine which was recommended and he was the one who told giving medicine is really not a good idea and useless whereas instead of the medicine, treatment was a better idea. Their own doctor is saying that it was not right and now the management doesn’t want to understand this and exploiting men

The clinic has really gone downhill since the change in management. There are still some lovely staff but when the management changed, half of my medical records seemed to have been lost and I was prescribed a medicine that could have been potentially deadly due to a pre existing medical condition I have that was no longer on my file, it was only through my own research of the medication that I realised I couldn’t take it. This wasn’t my Dr fault as she had no idea, but for my medical file to have missing and incorrect information (it also said I have eczema when I have never been diagnosed with that) is really dangerous and very poor form for the medical practice. I also had to wait over an hour for a Telehealth appointment that lasted around 1 minute, the receptionist were helpful but I’m pretty disappointed with the dr.

I hope the management can get itself sorted soon because I used to really like this clinic and there are still some great staff there.

Best medical centre I’ve ever been to. Every staff member I have encountered has been excellent, professional as well as genuinely friendly. The most caring nurses and reception you can find and Dr Nick is absolutely amazing! Thank you to everyone there for being able to restore me to health when the hospital could not.

I had scheduled a quick flu shot appointment for 1pm, and it was confirmed. I arrived at 12:55 and successfully checked in with the receptionist. However, I ended up waiting until 1:10 with no updates. The receptionist then informed me that the nurse was still on a lunch break and that there was a mistake in booking me for 1pm. I was made to wait until 1:20 when the nurse finally arrived, only to be told that I needed to see a doctor before receiving the flu shot. This raised several questions for me: 1. If my booking was a mistake, why was it confirmed in the first place? 2. Could they have informed me about the nurse’s lunch break and the long waiting time during check-in? 3. The booking on hotdoc explicitly stated that the flu shot would be administered directly by the nurse, but after more than 20 minutes of pointless waiting, I was informed that a doctor’s involvement was necessary. All of this information could have been provided during check-in. Overall, the management seemed chaotic, with no regard for punctuality and poor communication. They showed no respect for my time, as I didn’t receive a single apology but rather an indifferent response when I had to leave. If they can’t handle a simple flu shot, I wouldn’t trust them with more complex health issues. What a waste of my lunch break. I do not recommend their services. * And to clarify, you need to actively seek information from the receptionist or else you just get left sitting there.

**Reply to the owner: “misunderstanding you may have felt”, seems like you did not even bother read through the review and actually think about improvements. I have no issues with your procedures, it is your lack of communication and respect to people’s time that angers me. So do not throw big words like ‘safety’ in my way.

So I had an appointment with Dr. Ling Zhang 2 week’s ago. I was suffering from cold and flu. She didn’t even check me thoroughly. She was rude! She was clueless about what medicine I should have. She asked me to get blood tests done and told me that she would contact me after having my report. Unfortunately, we have never heard back neither from her nor from the centre.

On the contrary, the phlebotomist with whom we dealt was very polite and friendly.

I gave this chemist warehouse branch a $18 charity.

I m appreciative of the fact that this chemist is open late night but the staff there lack customer service.

I bought 2 packs of Ventolin based on ill advice of a gp. Within the day of this purchase , I got a second opinion and was told not to use that for 3 month-old so went back to return it. The two boxes as attached were not opened as you see in those images but the explanation provided by those at the counter for not accepting a refund made ZERO sense. According to them , the medication that leave the counter would be under different temperature or condition or likely to get tampered with. I agreed but not for this medication in question, I am not sure how those unopened boxes that too within the day of purchase would contaminate or change the state of this medication. It is a inhaler that comes with additional plastic protection so not sure how that would affect the medication by temperature.

Before buying do educate yourself on their return policy and don’t have customer remorse like I feel now.

Horrible customer service. Absolutely appalled by the way they treat there customers, after entering the store to receive my well needed prescription they didn’t have in stock (Which is fair enough, I don’t expect them to always have it) I received no apology, essentially little to no advice and wasn’t even greeted up to the counter. It was a “We don’t have this in stock” and no further discussion, from what I can see the store seems to be running great but management really lacks the ability to teach proper customer assistance, take this as advice and not a complaint, train your staff correctly. At the end of the day, if every individual staff member is getting away with the same despicable attitude it’s the managements fault. A simple hello and goodbye to a long way.

I went in yesterday afternoon. Bought a telfast for my husband. The checkout guy he was very nice. He asked me if I take the medication for myself. I told him it’s for my husband. He said that’s good. He was worried if I take for myself as I am pregnant. He was so caring. Thank you for your kindness. Only I forgot to get his name. He has Philippine accent.

Located really conveniently and as someone who often needs prescriptions filled, they are very fast, efficient and helpful. They also have a huge selection of protein bars, and multivitamin gummies. Both of which are always at really great prices.

The staff is not helpful. When you ask about the scripts , they either don’t know or make you await without telling you. The Dr send them scripts but they were not aware and I had to wait for an hour. The stuff is very rude and they are very unprofessional . I have been to my chemist in Melton and they were very helpful and happy to assist but this hooper crossing one is not good

They have everything I need, they have all my medication, and the great thing about it is they are open until late night so if I can’t go in the morning to the pharmacy then I can just go at night and pick whatever I need up. I’ve never had any any issue with chemist, warehouse and all my experiences have been awesome like always.

Offensive signs about medicine shortages put up. Profits over people at this chemist. This pharmacy would prefer you to come in every 30 days to get their dispensing fees and hope you buy more in store. If you come in every 60 days pharmacies will lose money. They don’t care about medicine shortages. A quick google search will refute anything that is written in response by the owner to this review. The owner just wants his money. Please don’t take his money from him. The Pharmacy guild is a bullying lobby group that gives money to political parties like Pauline Hansons One Nation and the LNP. I guess if you like supporting these guys and love giving you money to pharmacy owner that loves to suck up to the guild. Then keep coming here.

Planning to Visit an Australian Chemist? Here’s What You Should Consider!

My Chemist Elizabeth St in Melbourne
My Chemist Elizabeth St in Melbourne

When visiting a chemist in Australia, there are a few things to consider to ensure you have a smooth and successful experience. Here are some important factors to keep in mind:

    • Opening Hours: Check the opening hours of the chemist before visiting to make sure they are open when you plan to visit. Some chemists may have extended hours or be open on weekends.
    • Prescriptions: If you have a prescription from a doctor, make sure to bring it with you to the chemist. Australian law requires a prescription for certain medications, and the chemist will need to see it in order to dispense the medication.
    • Medication Information: Be prepared to provide any necessary information about your current medications, including dosage and frequency. This will help the chemist ensure there are no potential interactions or adverse effects with any new medications you may be purchasing.
    • Over-the-Counter Medications: If you are purchasing over-the-counter medications, be sure to read the labels and follow the instructions carefully. It’s also a good idea to consult with the pharmacist if you have any questions or concerns.
    • Health Advice: Pharmacists in Australia are trained healthcare professionals who can provide advice on a range of health issues. If you have any questions or concerns about your health, don’t hesitate to ask the pharmacist for guidance.
    • Pharmacy Programs: Some chemists in Australia offer specific programs and services, such as medication reviews, blood pressure checks, and vaccinations. Check if any of these services are available and if they would be beneficial to you.
    • Healthcare Subsidies: Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible for healthcare subsidies in Australia. Ask the pharmacist if you qualify for any subsidies or if there are any cost-saving options available for your medications.
    • Privacy and Confidentiality: Australian chemists must adhere to strict privacy and confidentiality regulations. Your personal and medical information should be handled with care and kept confidential.

By considering these factors, you can have a productive and safe visit to a chemist in Australia. Remember to consult with the pharmacist if you have any questions or concerns about your medications or health.

How to Donate to an Op Shop in Australia

If you have clothes, household items, or other goods that you no longer need or want, one great option for getting rid of them is to donate them to an op shop (also known as an opportunity shop or charity shop). Op shops in Australia accept donations of gently used items and sell them to raise money for various charitable causes. Donating to an op shop not only helps those in need, but it also reduces waste and promotes sustainable consumption. If you’re interested in donating to an op shop in Australia, here’s how you can do it:

    1. Find a local op shop: Start by locating op shops in your area. You can do this by searching online, using directories such as National Op Shop Week’s database, or asking friends and family for recommendations.

    2. Check the guidelines: Different op shops have different guidelines for what they accept as donations. Before dropping off your items, check the op shop’s website or give them a call to find out what they are currently in need of and what they cannot accept. This will help ensure that your donations are put to good use.

    3. Clean and sort your items: Before donating, make sure to clean your items and ensure they are in good condition. Some op shops do not have the resources to repair or clean items, so it’s best to donate things that are in a sellable state.

    4. Drop off your donations: Once you know what items are accepted and have prepared them for donation, you can drop them off at the op shop. Many op shops have designated drop-off points or donation bins, while some may require you to bring your donations to their store during opening hours.

    5. Consider other ways to support op shops: In addition to donating goods, there are other ways to support op shops. You can volunteer your time, shop at op shops to give items a second life, or even consider leaving a monetary donation if the op shop accepts them.

    • Locate local op shops through online directories or recommendations from friends and family.
    • Check the op shop’s guidelines for accepted items.
    • Clean and prepare your donations for drop-off.
    • Drop off your items at the op shop’s designated location.
    • Consider other ways to support op shops, such as volunteering or shopping there.

It’s not the greatest op shop. I find the stock turn over isn’t high and the quality of the clothes is lacking, often aged or ratty. A few in need of a wash cause quite fowl texture or smell. Pricing is okay. I’ve yet to find anything great here. Staff are fine.

Words cannot express how deeply infuriated and disappointed I was by my experience at Salvos this morning. I’ve been on the lookout for a pair of work boots for an upcoming job, so naturally was thrilled to see a well-worn but very wearable pair of leather Timberlands in the shoe section. They were a perfect fit. Excited about my lucky find, I approached the counter to purchase the boots. The volunteer who served me, unfortunately, took it upon herself to deem the boots too worn to sell! I reassured her that I wasn’t concerned about the wear and tear and would gladly take the shoes in their present condition. They were very wearable (I tried them on), so I wasn’t concerned with the rough aesthetic. The lady then took the boots out the back to ‘ask the manager’. She returned empty-handed to explain to me that she wasn’t allowed to sell the boots as it was an ‘OHS concern.’ Beyond that, she claimed the issue was for her to SELL the boots, not for me to wear them. Completely, utterly absurd. I reassured her that I was CONTENT with the state of the boots, that I liked them, that they fit me perfectly and I would gladly buy them. She wasn’t budging. Seeing that the woman wasn’t interested in a conversation or a rational discussion, I departed in disgust.

After simmering on the situation for some time, I returned to the store to speak with the manager. She informed me that the boots had been thrown IN THE BIN, and that since I’d left, the bins had been collected by the council. The high-quality leather boots were currently en route to landfill. Seeing my devastation at the news, the manager thought it warranted to interject with “Well, they weren’t your boots – they were ours.” A lovely comment. She went on to tell me that they’re not able to sell anything which is ripped, dirty or damaged in any way. I responded by asking her whether or not she thought someone in challenging circumstances in need of footwear would turn down a pair of shoes because they had dirt on them. She responded “Actually, they would!” Another beautiful quote. I then asked whether I could see some policy documentation which states clearly that it would have been illegal to sell me the boots. She denied my request stating that she didn’t need to show me anything.

If you wanted proof that the Idiocracy is real, look no further. Even IF it was illegal for those shoes to be sold, could they not have been given away? Apparently, it makes more sense for them to go to landfill rather than to a young person with meagre means. Are these the altruistic principles of Salvos on display? Perhaps times have changed, and SALVOS is now more concerned with profiteering rather than helping those in need. Both the volunteer who served me and the manager should be deeply ashamed. I mean DEEPLY ashamed. Rant over.

I’m an Op Shop aficionado. So are my adult kids. We all enjoy exploring second hand, reused, recycled stores as well as Op Shops. We have underlying values around not buying new if there is something preloved available. I’ve been to Sacred Heart Mission Op Shop many times but rarely buy anything. Why? I always say that I’ll eat average food but not tolerate average service. Same with stores, I might find something nice but unpleasant staff turn me away. Staff here are often grumpy which seems to be a theme in other reviews. I consider myself to be very friendly, affable and gracious but the staff were just unpleasant. The store is well laid into sections eg books, men’s clothes, women’s clothes, jewellery, books etc, there isn’t a lot of kitchenware and mainly focussed on fashion. It’s always been that way – alas! The stock is reasonable but some of it is a bit ‘scrappy’ and not worth considering, so choose carefully.

Notes: Location is great. Good parking out the front. Disability friendly. Kid friendly. Plastic bags available in store to take away your goodies.

Worst op shop ever!Went to try some items on and while I was hanging the items that I didn’t want outside the fitting room, this rude old lady was waiting outside asking me impolitely to return all the items where I got them from. I then politely said, I’ve seen a few items out here before but you didn’t say anything to them. So I said ok I’ll put them back for you, she then shockingly said no, do it for you not for me. She sounded like an angry mother telling her child to clean up the mess. Shockingly nasty! What made it more interesting is that the manager was there and just silently watching the whole incident.didn’t say a thing to this particularly rude old lady for this kind of treatment. Seemed like this kind of treatment to customers is pleasantly accepted. I still went and pay for the items that I wanted, and the so called manager was at the register yet totally ignored me. I had to call another lady to let me pay.

I’ve been to many op shops but this one is uniquely full of rude staff including the manager himself.

This place isn’t worth even a dollar out of your pocket if what you’ll get is this kind of behavior from the staff. They’re not pleasant nor polite to their customers. Yes it’s cheap, but people still spend money on things!!

We had a shocking experience while donating clothes. Lady at the front told us to go in the back near donation section. While we were standing there a male customer rep started yelling at us in the rudest manner saying why are we standing there. Possibly the worst experience I’ve had in quite some time. Very rude staff members. An extremely demeaning and annoying experience at a charity store seems odd. I believe this place is just a front for PR. It seems like others also had similar experience with unpleasant staff.

I had my regular haircut here but this time was charged more than regular as notified more time needed but the result was not very pleasant. I was helped by a lady this time. All my regular Barbers left. Don’t mind to pay more dont mind new barber but the haircut is really not as good as before, I’ve been there every month for a while. I may consider change to somewhere else.

Really don’t know what to say about this place. A dude on a laptop and an inexperienced barber charging stupid prices for a haircut. $85 for a cut and half a beard trim ?. The must have seen me coming. Don’t go there. For note to the cutter. Get a job in a real barber shop, not run by a novel writing hipster.

I’ve been coming to Rockit for the better part of the 2020s and have trusted Sean with getting my hair trim and sharp every time. Sean has been nothing but professional and friendly and I’ve loved our chats about everything under the sun while he masterfully gets my hair done. My haircuts from him have been consistent and I highly recommend him for all your hair needs.

Evan at Rockit has been taming my beard for the last few years and I can’t recommend their services nearly enough. A brilliant shop hidden in an arcade in Collins Street near Spencer. If you find a good barber, stay with them and I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Firstly they don’t even deserve one ⭐, i think they have purchased the reviews. The barber Shawn destroyed my well maintained beard by his shaking hands. He was looking like he is in some other zone. Please don’t go to the shop if u love your hair and beard! They are a fraud!

    Fade $40
    Buzz Cut $25
    Crew Cut $30

Self-Service Car Wash Prices in Aussie

The prices of self-service car washes in Australia vary depending on the location, the size of the car, and the services offered. However, you can expect to pay anywhere from $5 to $20 for a basic wash.

Here are some of the factors that can affect the price of a self-service car wash in Australia:

    • Location: Self-service car washes in busy areas tend to be more expensive than those in less populated areas.
    • Size of the car: Larger cars typically require more time and detergent to wash, so they will cost more to wash.
    • Services offered: Some self-service car washes offer additional services, such as undercarriage washes or tire shines, which will increase the price.

Here are some tips for saving money on self-service car washes in Australia:

    • Wash your car during off-peak hours. Self-service car washes are typically less crowded during off-peak hours, so you can get your car washed more quickly and easily.
    • Wash your car during the week. Self-service car washes are typically more expensive on weekends.
    • Wash your car yourself. If you have the time and resources, you can wash your car yourself and save even more money.

Car wash was slow – took longer than expected and no real attention to detail inside and out. Bits of inside of car was still damp – seats hadn’t been wiped down properly, console wasn’t cleaned properly and light marks remain on exterior.

Honestly should have read the reviews.

They dropped a clip on my mat and threw half of it in my centre consol but didn’t keep the other half. It got driven over with another car and was damaged. I got a credit for my pains but I wish they could have just kept it attached.

I paid extra $50 for an internal detail clean to get rid of pet fur. While it’s better than before I wouldn’t say this was a good job at all. Like I shouldn’t have to do a clean after they do their clean. Plus they left some substance on my sun roof which I now have to clean up too.
I was charged $105 for a magic wash and extra internal clean.

I would highly recommend Mark to anyone looking on improving their diet. I booked a 1 hr session with him and the things I learned in this session are so valuable to my future health. He was charismatic and it felt very comfortable to chat with him. Mark answered all of my questions in great detail whilst providing examples which I appreciated. This was money well spent without a doubt!
      Thankyou Mark!

I heard Mark speak at Gesac and it really was great and informative! I am a biotechnologist scientist who specialises in nutrition but he added information that was so amazing!
I highly recommend you go see him or check out his website on The Nutritionist Mark!

Not only did Mark help me with the issue challenging me, but I was left with the clear impression that he knew “his stuff” and was also concerned to know relevant things about me – and then apply his knowledge in addressing my problem.

Me and my husband just started seeing Jordan and so far we are very pleased with our visits ,very helpful ,he works around what do you like to eat ,and the diet plan is very easy to fallow,it’s what we eat every day and can be easily prepared.
Very down to earth and very helpful and always willing to answer your questions .

I highly recommended Jordan! My energy levels were low and I had tried so many other things to feel well, I have been struggling with stomach digestion and thyroid issues for over 3 years before seeing Jordan. Through an initial consultation using a detailed health assessment, a series of regular visits and I saw immediate improvement only a few weeks after our first appointment. He is very professional and has a wealth of knowledge in food and nutrition. Jordan has shown a thorough interest and understanding of my health goals and has supported me to identify practical solutions. He gives advice that suits me personally – not a standard approach and he is able to do this because he has shown a real interest in my needs and lifestyle.

Jordan works very closely with his clients in order to create a diet plan tailored to each person and what they enjoy eating. I highly recommend his methods, they’ve made me look and feel a lot healthier and as someone who is a picky eater and struggles sticking to a diet this has made a big difference to me 🙂
