Beaut people to deal with. I’ve had carpets cleaned, specialist care for rugs, rodent protection and they even rescued the infamous old airport carpet for me. They are the go to people for me now and would happily recommend to anyone. Instant response, can-do attitude and they absolutely deliver as promised. We’ll done and thank you.

We recently needed water damage repairs carried out on nearly new carpet. Our Insurer recommended JAEs and we are pleased that they did. Andrew and Neil did a great job on restoring the carpet to a very high standard and both went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. Great communication, and explanations of process and even turned up at the time they said they would! We were very happy with the service we received. Thanks so much JAEs.

I used Jae’s to clean my carpets. They provided a great service from booking through to having the job done. My carpets look brand new feeling so soft and clean to walk on. They did a fantastic job & very reasonably priced. I highly recommend this company.

I have recently had my house “insect bombed”, which I am very happy with. When I booked, I was warned that it would be at least four weeks before they had a free slot, but it was worth the wait. Detailed instructions, on what I needed to do prior, and date was agreed on. A message sent the day before to remind me, and a very pleasant young man arrived right on time. I was reassured by his timeliness and approach. Left him to carry on, and came back to a house later in the day. I was not aware of any smell, which I was grateful for.

Excellent service and great clean result. Went above a beyond by fixing carpet ripples in one of the bedrooms when they had the time. This saved me time and the hassle of moving furniture again to get these ripples removed. Would highly recommend. Many thanks.

Best hostel we’ve stayed in so far on our NZ trip! Staff are really friendly and helpful, beds are comfortable and facilities very clean. Got a real cosy feel to it and the chocolate pudding is a great way to get everyone into the living area in the evening for some relaxed chats. No issues whatsoever during our stay and I definitely recommend staying here!

I’ve stayed at two hostels in Nelson, this one and the palace backpackers. Far and away, this hostel was better, and I wish I’d chosen it for my earlier stay as well. The staff was nice, the parking was easy and plentiful, even with it mostly being street parking. Clean, cozy, good bathroom and kitchen facilities, free dessert in the evenings, plenty of places to hang out and lots of board games and stuff for backpackers to use. I liked it. If I come back to Nelson again, this will definitely be my go to choice.

Very nice people and a good place to meet others traveling, rooms are a bit small but we make the most of it here and it’s close to everything. We really liked the people who were very helpful about where we can go next. Recommend a short stay here especially if you want to meet others to travel with.

Tasman Bay Backpackers is a wonderful place for backpackers and solo travelers. It is the best backpackers place I’ve ever been at. Plenty of good, clean, and well maintained facilities in and outdoors. The dorms and beds are very comfortable. Lastly, the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. If you visit Nelson this is the must-stay-place!

Wonderful place to explore. Can spend a few hours there. Unless there’s an event on its usual free entry for locals or people going to the cafe. Lots of things to check out – heritage buildings and vehicles. If you’ve got kids its nice to sit outdoor at the cafe and enjoy lunch next to the playground to keep an eye on them. Buy tickets for the short train ride. It goes back and forth each way on two tracks and they have to change the end the locomotive is on each direction so it take a bit of time, maybe was an hour.

The Founders Heritage Park is a gem in Nelson’s crown. My expectations were low considering entry was only eleven or so dollars. However it soon became clear how historically significant and visually pleasing the buildings were. Hundreds of items in the stores made me feel like I was in Back To The Future III. The amount of ships in bottles was astounding. I wish I only knew to bring some gold coins to operate the model trains in the train carriage.

An okay place to visit if you do not have a better option. You get to know about some heritage houses that, I believe, were lifted and shifted from different places around Nelson. It provides historical information about Nelson and has some fun places for kids.

The Brook Waimārama Sanctuary is a nearly 700 hectare mainland "ecological island" sanctuary located 6 km south of Nelson, New Zealand. The sanctuary is the largest fenced sanctuary in New Zealand's South Island and the second largest in the country; it is the only sanctuary to feature mature New Zealand beech forest.
The Brook Waimārama Sanctuary Trust was established in 2004 with the intent of restoring the flora and fauna of the Brook Valley, a former water supply for Nelson with intact beech forest. A predator-proof fence was completed in 2016 at a cost of NZD $4.2 million, and introduced mammalian pests were eradicated from within the sanctuary in 2017. The sanctuary reopened to the public in 2018, and an entrance fee regime was introduced in 2020. Reintroductions of species such as the Okarito kiwi and tuatara are planned.

A fantastic hill walk in the bush other day. Lots of bird chatter to accompany you on the walk with a fair few sightings as well. Some areas are real thick bush with steep winding narrow pathways so be sure to go prepared with good walking/hiking shoes and water. A really good wildlife project right next to Nelson and highly recommend if you’re in the area.

Many delicious things scattered about. We loved the sourdough breads and the cherries we found. The selection was limited particularly given how many farms are in the area selling things on the side of the roads. Was hoping for a bit more selection but may have been specific to the day we went.

Ordered trampoline mat, heard nothing for 2 weeks, when enquire said it was on way from Dunedin. When it didn’t show 2 days later I was told it had been returned to Dunedin and was coming from Hamilton, finally got it 3 weeks after ordering.

Ordered a gazebo 2 weeks ago, again order still pending and staff not sure what is going on.

Hopefully they get their issues sorted or there are going to be lots of disappointed people at Christmas.

If its not in store do not order it online, it wont turn up quickly.

I went into this store again today 3rd time. Got zero service trying to find stuff again. Staff tend to hang around the counter not proactive in helping customers yet store was quiet again. I was trying to find something upstairs for ages, no one came to see if they could help so I went back down to ask guy at counter where item was, he pointed to where it was upstairs. So I went back up. Still nothing. Came back down. I had to encourage him to check their stock if they had any. Never again at this T7 store. Taking my $ elsewhere.

Truely the worst shopping experience ever. Their website is constantly trying to get you to sign up for mailing lists (to be fair, this is pretty normal these days) and even when you select the option “No thanks” when finalizing your order, it still sends you deals and promotion emails. Eventually when I did place an order of some cycling shorts that were in stock at the time, I waited four weeks and received no updates about my order (the order confirmation). During this period I also emailed them twice and got zero response (aside from the automated “we’ve gotten your email”) and when I called them eventually (after going through a bloody phone tree) I was told my item was out of stock and that there’d been a fault is their system. This is an appalling way to treat paying (yes, the money had indeed come out of my account) customers. I Will not be using Torpedo7 again. And will discourage others from doing the same.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I don’t know why I keep coming back, staff are unhelpful, disinterested and seem to lack any knowledge about outdoor gear. A painful experience every time I enter the store.

In October last year I purchased a torpedo7 Apex tilting towball mount 4 Bike Rack from Lisa in the Nelson Store. Was advised it was suitable for my wife and my bicycles. No mention was made that an attachment would be needed. However after several weeks passed I attempted fitting the rack and the bicycles only to find that my wife”s cycle was not suited to the rack. I have since made enquiries and find that this is common and that I need to buy a YAKIMA TOP TUBE RACK from Torpedo 7 to overcome this problem. Enquiries at Wellington and nelson branches for this attachment reveal that there are apparently no such attachments available in the country. I spoke with a staff member in Nelson by phone and asked him why they are selling equipment that is useless without this attachment and he replied “i cant do anything about that and that they may be available later in the year”. I told him that this was very poor service and he hung up the phone. Beware.

The 2023 New Zealand general election was held on 14 October 2023 to determine the composition of the 54th Parliament of New Zealand. Voters elected 122 members to the unicameral New Zealand House of Representatives under the mixed-member proportional (MMP) voting system, with 71 members elected from single-member electorates and the remaining members elected from closed party lists. Of the 72 electorates, only 71 seats were filled, with the remaining electorate MP determined in the 2023 Port Waikato by-election, due to the death of one of the general election candidates. Two overhang seats were added due to Te Pāti Māori winning six electorate seats when the party vote only entitled them to four seats, with an additional overhang seat added after the by-election making for 123 members of parliament. The incumbent centre-left Labour Party, led by Chris Hipkins, sought to win a third term for the Sixth Labour Government. However, they were defeated in a landslide, with the centre-right National Party, led by Christopher Luxon, becoming the largest party in the new parliament. The election saw the worst defeat of a sitting government in New Zealand since the introduction of the MMP voting system in 1996, with Labour going from having 65 seats in the first-ever outright majority any party had won under MMP to winning just 34 seats. Labour faced a 23-percentage-point swing against it, whilst National improved its party vote share by 12 points. Despite this, National returned the second lowest vote share of a party that won the most seats under MMP, the lowest being in 1996. Additionally, Labour and National's combined vote share was the third lowest it had ever been under MMP, and the lowest since 2002. The Green and ACT parties and Te Pāti Maori all increased their vote share, while New Zealand First gained enough votes to return to parliament after being ousted in the 2020 election.
National made gains in many Auckland electorates that were once considered to be safe Labour seats, such as Mount Roskill and New Lynn, whilst also coming close to winning Jacinda Ardern's former seat of Mount Albert after the left vote was split between Labour and the Greens. The Greens won three electorates, gaining Rongotai and Wellington Central from Labour, while ACT won two electorates, gaining Tāmaki from National. Te Pāti Māori claimed five Māori seats from Labour, which saw 21-year-old Hana-Rawhiti Maipi-Clarke become the youngest MP elected in 170 years and in the process unseated incumbent foreign affairs minister Nanaia Mahuta.Prime Minister Hipkins conceded on election night, paving the way for a National-led government under Christopher Luxon. To form a government, the National Party required support from the ACT Party and New Zealand First. On 24 November 2023, Luxon announced the formation of a coalition government with ACT and New Zealand First. On 27 November 2023, Luxon was sworn in as prime minister by Governor-General Dame Cindy Kiro, thereby marking the end of six years under the Sixth Labour Government and the beginning of the Sixth National Government.

Not only does F45 push me & encourage me but they’ve been so understanding while my husbands away to have my kids sit just outside the studio while I train. Nothing better than my girls seeing other strong women of all ages, shapes and sizes working hard together – with some even lifting heavier than the lads ??

Movement is the key to life and F45 does just that! I love sending my Chiropractic Life Nelson practice members there. The environment is so friendly and it doesn’t matter about your age, stage or athletic ability.

F45 Nelson is a friendly and supportive place to work out. The coaches are fun and always able to offer a modification to an exercise if needed. I like the fact the same class is run 6 times a day so there is no excuse not to get there whatever hours you work. Team fitness is great it keeps me motivated and I always leave feeling happy.

The coaches are excellent at motivating you to push yourself make every workout fun and engaging. They’ve created a great community and there’s always something new and exciting going on. We have both been attending F45 Nelson since they opened. Taken a few breaks in between but always go back. Amazing friendly community. Coaches and people are super supportive. Professional and knowledgeable coaches. Always learning. Keeps us accountable. A safe place for all fitness levels. Highly recommend.
