Small library but perfect for my 3 children and I. Plenty of books for my oldest, the big reader, and the early reader books great for my middle plus board books, puzzles and blocks to keep the toddler entertained. They even had crafts in the school holidays. Very nice staff and an inviting feel about this library. Once you join one library you can go to any nelson library so I dont think the size will be a problem as we can reserve books from the other two Libraries, which we have yet to check out.

Never park here if possible. The parks are privately owned and If u go one minute over they manage to fine you. Last week I got a $50 fine for apparantly parking in a wheelchair park. It looked like a completely normal park to me. White lines, no yellow wheelchair painted in the middle… I went back to have a look the next day and there is a wee plastic wheelchair sign on a temporary stick stuck into the hedge above an otherwise normal carpark! Is that even legal?? And I was only parked there for 5 minutes cos I was picking something up.

Secluded lake and grounds near Rainbow skifield. It can get extremely busy here during the summer season, however, you can have this whole place to yourself when quiet. Snowcapped mountains during the winter months make this popular spot a real special place. Toilets are available but no overnight camping is allowed. Also keep your pets at home if you are visiting this place. Also bring some insect repellent with you. The local sandflies can be a problem.

Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki is the principal public gallery in Auckland, New Zealand. It has the most extensive collection of national and international art in New Zealand and frequently hosts travelling international exhibitions.
Set below the hilltop Albert Park in the central-city area of Auckland, the gallery was established in 1888 as the first permanent art gallery in New Zealand.
The building originally housed both the Auckland Art Gallery and the Auckland public library, and opened with collections donated by benefactors Governor Sir George Grey and James Tannock Mackelvie. This was the second public art gallery in New Zealand, after the Dunedin Public Art Gallery, which opened three years earlier in 1884. Wellington's New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts opened in 1892 and a Wellington Public Library in 1893.
In 2009, it was announced that the museum received a donation from American businessman Julian Robertson, valued at over $100 million, the largest ever of its kind in the region. The works will be received from the owner's estate.

Very cute gallery and cafe combo! A fun space to enjoy a morning drink while out for a stroll.

The shop has lots of beautiful jewellery and art pieces, baby clothes and toys, cards and books.

A beautiful building with lots of culture and creative products to explore, but the coffee was too sour for our liking.

Cute cafe serving a delicious variety of bagels. Great coffee. Friendly staff. Set around some cool art for sale.

The saying about doing one thing, and doing it well, is apt for the Red Café. What they do superbly is bagels. And with so many options, you’ll never get bored. Team that with good coffee, a lovingly curated gallery of art and gorgeous creations, and you’ll be replete.

Public transport in New Zealand exists in many of the country's urban areas and takes a number of forms. Bus transport is the main form of public transport. Two major cities, Auckland and Wellington also have suburban rail systems that have been gaining more patronage and new investment in recent years. Some cities also operate local ferry services. There are no rapid transit metros and no remaining tram (i.e., light rail) systems active anywhere in New Zealand (except for some museum systems and a tourist-oriented service at Wynyard Quarter in Auckland and in Christchurch), though trams (and their horse-drawn predecessors) once had a major role in New Zealand's public transport.
