      Went here for a pink slip previously and had no problems. There were problems with my car and was informed it would be a couple months before they could work on it, I was in no rush.

      Called them a week later to find out if there was any kind of ETA as a date was not given or even a ballpark quote as no prices were given. Was informed they did not know what I was talking about and they would call me back. Did not receive a call back.

      Have heard good things from most people, but if you have a European car that needs a larger job done, go elsewhere.

      Great service at competitive prices. Very busy so don’t ring expecting to have your vehicle serviced the next day as they can be booked out up to a week in advance. If you need a rego check done they will squeeze it in for you between service jobs. Very friendly staff, highly recommended.

      I took my car there once and I will not take it there again . My experience was a long drawn out affair over 9 months, and I was quite surprised by how dishonest and underhanded there practises are . They said they fixed my oil leak, and it was front crank seal and the sump . 1 month later when I was doing a service, I noticed the same oil leak present, (which looks like rear main ) and the sump gasket had not been touched as I was charged for . I lost several thousand dollars and still have 3 of the 4 issues I had before i took it there . Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else .

      The team at APPS mechanical are absolutely amazing, we have taken our 06 Honda Odyssey in several times, one of which was an annoying sensor issue which required several visits to resolve as the issue kept evolving and wasn’t a common issue (most mechanics would have given up or carried on like a pork chop ) however Corey, Jess and the team handled this with beautiful patience and tenacity and a determination to fix the problem. They are a clear stand out of all the mechanics I’ve been to. Would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a mechanic in the Port Macquarie and surrounding areas, they do a top quality job at a respectable price and leave the car better than they found it.       Terrible experience,went inside to ask for a rego check my partner was inside of the car i did left our car in their parking lot, after i got back outside one of the workers crashed in to our car .the guy crashed into rear wing that has dent in and fender flare is broken.solution that they came up to was a bit spray paint and dent is still in .my prtner was inside of the car so she could have move the car anytime if needed and i was inside for maximum a minute.

      Can’t thank these legends enough for checking over my car on the way through Port. They confirmed even with the noise it was safe to drive, checked all the wheel bolts, degreased the engine bay and had me on my way..       Extremely disrespectful staff who don’t know anything about customer service. I just asked if the battery has to be removed in order to change the headlight bulb and the mechanic asks me to let him do his job in peace and move out. Plus he was charging $100 for a bulb replacement which he couldn’t tell me over the phone. Not recommended at all.

      I today dealt with Ken at Twin Lakes Automotive. The experience was the BEST I EVER HAD FROM ANY BUSINESS ANY TIME. I had a front strut issue and bought replacements on line. Although the supplier said they were the correct ones they absolutely did not fit. Ken went over and above to try to fit them. When that did not work Ken advised me by email to help me achieve a refund. The service quality of work is excellent, just the absolute best ever. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

      I recently visited this mechanic to get my air conditioning re-gassed and my fan belt checked, as well as a general assessment of my car’s readiness for an upcoming road trip. I had been assured over the phone that any work and associated costs would be confirmed with me beforehand. During my visit, I waited for 40 minutes and was unexpectedly billed $80 for an oil top-up and tire pressure check etc. which I hadn’t requested. This was particularly surprising as I had just completed a full $700 service 2 months before and got new tires installed two weeks earlier. My car had been driven less than 100km since my last service.

      My main goal was to have the air conditioning re-gassed, but after the uncommunicated service and charge, I hesitated to request it. Although they assured me my car was in good condition, I would have preferred to be consulted about and approve any service before it was done and charged.

      This was my second visit to this mechanic; the first time was for a headlight change. Even then, I experienced a discrepancy between the price quoted over the phone and what I was charged afterward.

      Overall, I appreciate being informed and given the opportunity to approve services and costs beforehand, which is a practice I’ve experienced with other mechanics and would prefer.

      Review:

      My recent experience at Sydney Auto Care was nothing short of a nightmare. I went there to get a Blue Slip inspection, but what transpired left me feeling deceived and frustrated.

      Initial Inspection: After the initial inspection, I received a call from the mechanic informing me that my car needed two rear tires and a drive shaft seal replacement due to an engine oil leak, with an estimated cost of around $900. I was taken aback by the high cost and decided to take my car back to address these issues with a garage near my home.

      Second Attempt: After two days, I had everything fixed as recommended by Sydney Auto Care. I then rebooked the Blue Slip inspection with them. However, just two hours after dropping off my car, I received a call from them, stating that I should come and take my car back because there was still an engine oil leak. This was a frustrating surprise as I had already addressed the issues as per their initial recommendations.

      Unpleasant Interaction: The attitude and tone of the guys at Sydney Auto Care were far from pleasant. Instead of addressing the issue professionally, he seemed dismissive and unhelpful. He simply told me to “go back to my mechanic to check.” This response was not only unprofessional but also showed a lack of willingness to take another proper inspection.

      The Realization: Frustrated and feeling like I was being taken advantage of, I took my car back to my trusted mechanic. To my surprise, when my mechanic inspected the vehicle, there was no sign of an engine oil leak. we put up the car on the hoist lift so i can take photo underneath my car was clean. It became apparent that Sydney Auto Care had not even conducted a proper inspection before trying to charge me a significant amount of money for unnecessary repairs.

      Conclusion: My experience at Sydney Auto Care was not only a waste of time and money but also deeply disappointing. Their lack of professionalism, dishonesty, and apparent attempts to overcharge customers are unacceptable. I strongly advise others to exercise caution when considering their services, as my experience left me with a sense of distrust and frustration.

      I hope that my review serves as a cautionary tale for potential customers and encourages Sydney Auto Care to improve their practices and customer service. I have ended up my blue slip with another place cost me total under $400 included need to pay for blue slip inspections again.

      Truly the best mechanic around! The staff are so friendly and professional. They were so willing to help when I had car troubles and ensured I wasn’t overcharged. It’s hard to come buy a reputable, and trustworthy mechanic. 10/10 recommend.
