Consistently positive experiences at Warehouse Newmarket, and it’s largely due to the exceptional friendliness and willingness to assist exhibited by the entire staff.
Every time I visit, the staff goes above and beyond to help me find what I need, even when it’s a bit of a desperate search. It’s not a one-off occurrence; it seems to be a shared commitment among all the team members. Their helpful attitude makes my shopping experience enjoyable and stress-free.
However, it’s disheartening to witness the challenges they face. The store seems to attract individuals engaging in theft, and I’ve observed occasional confrontations between these individuals and the staff. Despite these difficult situations, the staff handles them with remarkable professionalism and poise.
It’s unfortunate that the friendly atmosphere sometimes gets overshadowed by disruptive incidents. The fact that the staff remains courteous and calm even in the face of challenges is a testament to their dedication to customer service.
I genuinely hope that Warehouse Newmarket can address the security issues to create a safer and more pleasant shopping environment for both customers and staff. Kudos to the team for their unwavering commitment to providing excellent service despite the difficulties they encounter.

Didn’t even bother going in, because the car park is paid parking and I refuse to give Wilson Parking a cent unless it’s unavoidable. Will go to another branch closer to home that has free customer parking.
For anyone who receives an exorbitant parking fine from these rip-off artists, search up the Moneyhub article on getting out of unfair parking fine. These fines are often unsupported by law and you may be able to avoid having to pay.

the Warehouse in general has gone downhill the past couple of years. Newmarket store is clean and tidy. Staff helpful enough. Disappointed in quality and selection of some products. Electrical section (extension leads and timers etc) they used to have a good selection. Now have very sparse and limited range.

Absolutely Zero customer service. Being a migrant myself, I feel ashamed of this Indian male staff at the counter. No greetings what so ever and attitude was why don’t you self checkout. I was intending to pay in cash and there were no cash self checkouts so had to stand in the queue for this guy to serve. We learn a thing or two about customer service. Very reluctant didn’t even greet or pay attention or didn’t offer to give receipt, I had to ask for it. Warehouse group should train their staff properly.

Mixed feelings overall about this one. A wide menu with lots of good selections available – most offerings seem pretty fairly priced. The staff were friendly and worked very efficiently – the issue is that I went during a midday lunch rush, and for staff it is essentially mission impossible. The line practically reached out the door and there were around twenty people waiting for orders. So despite having a lot of staff on, and staff working really well and putting out orders very fast, it’s just impossible for wait times to not be long. Probably waited around 15 minutes for nachos. The nachos themselves were delicious, and found comfortable seating in the restaurant. The crazy lunch rush does mean staff aren’t really able to do jobs like changing bins and wiping tables (I don’t blame them). Overall would recommend, just try go during a non rush period.

the Victoria branch in Auckland, who understood my situation and genuinely seemed concerned. In a matter of five minutes without having to discuss the matter with anyone else it was done! She made me feel special, can’t thank her enough. She wasn’t there the following day when I went to pick up the car but the woman representative who was, handled everything quickly took. I just signed off and drove away in the perfect size Rav 4 Toyota.
I did noticed while there that all the other agents handled their customers with warmth and professionalism!

This is the second dreadful Budget experience that has happened to me
Car had sand on seat, was dusty and dirty but I was once again charged more than the written quote and twice! Not an ‘imprint’ and charge but an Imprint and 3 charges
So. Apparently because I picked up the car 20 minutes early (although when I arrived I did say that I will just wait) I was charged $300 extra. I wonder if I am entitled to a refund for returning early?
Seriously the Customer Service people need to start telling people the traps!

I honestly have no idea why there’s so many bad reviews about this place.
I called up with my rapid rez number and had a car booked for pickup in an hour. I did a good 500kms in it driving up to coromandel and hot waters beach. No issues with the car, it was in good condition and incredibly clean. When i returned it I’d left a bit of sand in the foot wells along with a lot of bug splatter. I wasn’t charged a cleaning fee, older lady behind the counter was a little grumpy but they were really busy. Young girl for pickup was nothing short of delightful.
The price I was quoted is the price I paid, It was a smooth transaction.

Terrible experience! I reserved a vehicle and received a confirmation email. I had also received another confirmation email two hours before I was to pick it up. When I arrived they told me they called me to say they cancelled my reservation because there were no cars. I received no phone call and they did not assist me in any way to find another available option. Not sure why they accept reservations when there is no vehicles.
When I called to speak with the manager I was met with aggression and she hung up on me during the conversation. Definitely avoid!!

Car collection was uneventful.
Both guys at the counters were helpful and polite – the indian and caucasian gentlemen.
All paperwork completed within 15 mins and off we went.
The car was okay. Nothing to complain about.
Frankly, when i saw so many 1 star reviews, i was concerned. But that was unfounded. Thankfully for me, at least.

One less star however due to expiry dates on many of the product esp chutneys, would highly recommend you put past expired by date product in a separate ‘specials’ area and rotate product so fresh goes to the front, overall a must visit!

There are so many products without labels and price. How customer knows the price? Few label says 3 for $3.99 and at checkout they priced at $2.49 each when approached they said it’s there by mistake. It happened before as well but I didn’t tell them however, at this time I told the staff and label and actual price they charges and they said like that.

Possibly the worst maintained supermarket in Auckland! They USED to be affordable.
No parking spaces, the outside of the store is an eyesore.
They should do better. They make so much money.

Cheap prices, fruit and veg seem abit old looking….theres a butchery at the back end of the store. Staff are friendly, could do with abit of a clean up.

Got the sweet and sour pork and beef fried rice last night. The sweet and sour pork was not sweet and sour and the pork was mushy and little to NO MEAT! It was extremely salty and no flavour! No exaggeration.
The fried rice was really salty too so I couldn’t give any to my children. Very disappointed with the quality of food. We have had fried rice from here before and it was super oily. This time, too salty and not so oily.
For Chinese dishes, I’d avoid this place completely. It was out of convenience we stopped here but sadly, the last for us.
The fish and chips was good. Fish was nicely cooked, chips soggy this time but usually pretty good.
Good service though. Fast and efficient.

Very disappointed in this “sweet and sour pork” – deep fried pork pieces on rice with ZERO sweet and sour sauce flavour. I do not recommend you eat this.

Hot dog was delicious chip scoops a little small the wontons are amazing love the staff there always friendly and give extra potato fritters will come back regularly they have cheap deals for those looking to save a bit of money meals are large with plenty of food for the whole family I would highly recommend checking them out

Good old-school Chinese/European takeaway. Very reasonable prices. Excellent chips. Appealing menu items like Sausages, eggs, chips & salad. And the fried rice looks great as they’re cooking it, but I haven’t tried that yet.

First time I ordered the chicken was salty bit I didn’t give any feedback. This time I ordered I told them to make it less salty. I picked up my food and it was salter than before. Called the number and the staff was really rude and disrespectful. Never order from this restaurant. WORST FOOD AND CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Edit after getting reply: I was going through your reviews couple of months back by other customers and one thing I found common is your rude and unprofessional customer service. I don’t know why you’re making up of what I said. When I called for placing ny order I told you that the food was saltier last time I ordered and requested to make it less salty. When I got the order it was even saltier than last time. When I called you second time I just told you that this food is even saltier than before. The response you have was unprofessional and rude. I didn’t want a refund nor did I want to come all the way to your shop and get something else. I just wanted to let you know about the quality of food you’re serving. The person answer the phone was the one who was rude and asked me to give the food back and take the money back.
NEVER ORDERING FROM HERE AGAIN AND FYI THE FOOD ENDED UP IN TRASH SADLY.
