My husband Michael is a pensioner NFP have his details. He was charged as a working person and when he said he was a pensioner the receptionist said she could not refund the excess money he paid. If the receptionist was doing the job properly this person would ask are you a pensioner ? Do you have a health care card ? Instead of which the receptionist is making out it’s the customers problem ? We don’t know how your systems work .There are some great doctors at this clinic and we are wondering what has happened to the staff who are older and have better customer service ?

Terrible, called up for a phone consult with my doctor who happens to be on leave, when asked if another doctor can provide a repeat prescription or have a phone consult with me, I was told no we have no appointments go to GP access. The receptionist did not want to help and closed the call while I was still talking. Unacceptable.

I live nearby and a newish resident. I needed a walk in one afternoon to see a GP as I was feeling dreadful with a persistant cold for 10 days that had suddenly come out in a bad rash all over my torso. So first time feeling unwell in Newcastle , try it out.
From the first instance service was abismal. Told it is a 3 week wait for an ‘appoinment’ no walk in available ever couldnt advise alternative apart from John Hunter ER. 10-12 hr wait time.
Zero interest in my condition or anything vaguely associated with why I was there or my well being.
Awful attitude. It would be quicker for me to drive to Sydney and see my Local GP.
Not only that, I new exactly what I needed as in a nasopharyngeal swab for respiratory multiplex PCR.
But then, that might just have been to complicated for this joke of a medical centre were rules seem to overide care.

Rude and aggressive receptionist who seemed to be looking for a reason why my wife couldn’t see a doctor. Apparently her online booking was no longer available, then they couldn’t find her records, her doctor no longer worked there, then she hadn’t been to the practice recently enough, then the practice isn’t taking new patients as of this morning. It’s hard to imagine a worse experience when a person has a medical issue and is in need of care.

Doctor To Your Door
Address: 175 Scott St, Newcastle NSW 2300, Australia
The most unprofessional group of people I have ever dealt with. I make a booking by phone it gets cut off, I make a booking via there online booking. Only to get a phone call 1 hour 15 minutes later saying that they can’t process that booking as I was advised to attend the hospital. I stated that was in correct and I was cut off before giving any details of symptoms across. The Female operator started abusing me saying I was not listening to her. I asked why it took 1 hr & 15 minutes to let me know. Why did the male caller that I spoke to first not ring me back to check if I was ok. She repeated “that not my fault, thank you. “ then hung up on me. What a unprofessional group of people. It’s lucky I was not dying.

Shopped with docs megasave chemist, spent $72 dollars on scripts and general chemist stuff, the cashier bagged my items and I left ??♀️
You’d think this was the end of my experience… but no, five months later I sent my partner to get a script for me, docs mega save chemist told him I’d taken prescription pain killers without paying for them five months ago, the gentlemen explaining my bad behaviour to him required him to pay for the pain killers.
After providing the receipt from my earlier visit, docs mega save chemist owner Tim Cush confirmed the young cashier had scanned the item but not selected it in a manner that would require payment, they apologised I felt that they had accused me of stealing.. Tim belittled me for a while and said “do you know how a till works”…. a sentence I won’t forget easily.. happy to share the recording.
Don’t shop there, misogynist men will try to hurt you any way they can, even tho I was doing nothing more than existing as a woman. Gross behaviour towards the people who trust their information will be handled in a professional manner. Women beware.

I came here today because my regular barber was shut, and I’ll definitely be coming back. The service from both men in the store was fantastic, they were very welcoming and friendly and the shop had a general great vibe of calmness. I felt really attended to during the cut. The guy who did my hair (can’t remember his name but he had a magnificent beard) was really thoughtful, recommended something that worked well for my hair and then did the cut with great care. I felt really looked after, ended up with a great haircut that I loved and was blown away by how reasonable the price was considering the service. Slow on checkouts and the salad mix was well in date, yet got it home and smelt it and it was off (as was the salad mix from other Aldi stores also, this has occured numerous times now), their milk also goes off before the expiry date (quite a few times now), what is the point of trying to save money on shopping when it’s wasted on cheap products you cannot consume … Pointless, c’mon Aldi up your supply chain a d bring “fresh” products to your shelves!

A generally dark and dingy store with no huge appeal. Always pretty empty whenever I’ve been, which is positive. Typically only 1 type of each item, not many named brands, and I’ve yet to get an Aldi brand product that actually tastes better (or as good) as a named brand – it’s really true that you get what you pay for, and even the cheapness of Aldi isn’t much of a saving these days, it’s not as cheap as it used to be.

I have been shopping in the Newcastle West store for a number of years. Recently I have felt unsafe and pressured at the exit/entrance to give money to people who are playing music at times with loud amplifiers, with caps out for money. Additionally when trolleys are full in the area trying to put my trolley back there’s little room to monouver around them. I feel due to the small space left I could fall and hurt myself, which I feel is an OHS issue as on Aldi property, I did bring this up with the staff on check out who said they would escalate to the manager. I spoke to one person blocking the trolley area asking them to move away and I was abused saying there is always one in every crowd. Such a shame for Aldi as Woolworths and Coles which are near have moved these people on, with their security people, to your property

Unfortunately I encountered staff stupidity here this afternoon. I walked up to the check out with 8 items & started to put them on the conveyor when the guy operating the adjacent checkout said the one I was on was closing. I removed my items went into his que then he said where I came from was reopening straight away. I was now stuck behind a shopper with a large amount of items.
What really annoyed me was this checkout guy laughed as he said the original checkout was reopening. No apology from him just stupidity.
I’m really disappointed in this behaviour from that particular staff member.
I did get served by him & he had plenty of time to apologise for his behaviour.

I’ve been living in Cooks Hill for 10 yrs now, and have always shopped at local ALDI, as I’m a loyal brand customer and I love their product range. My experience with this store has always been pleasant until recently.
About a month ago, they hired a new guy, and today has been the second time in a row that this same person asked me to show him my bag for inspection, at the cash register.
I have never experienced anything like this in another store nor witnessed any other customer at this store being searched and treated in this manner, and I shop there 1-2 times a week. When I did offer my (tiny little) bag for inspection, the guy didn’t even bother to look inside its compartments which truly annoyed me so I insisted he takes a good look inside.
I was left feeling singled out, humiliated, and wondering what was in the way I looked that made him suspect me of being a potential thief. I hope this review finds its way to the store manager and make him/her reconsider this policy of random searches ( if such a store policy exists), but I will certainly not be returning to this store and spending my money, only to be made to feel this way.

Woolworths Newcastle West

Asked a staff member to cut a chicken in half for me, and she said that she was busy and to come back in 10 minutes. Came back in 10 minutes, and then she started carrying on about having to do it. It was like it was a real effort for her. So I grabbed a full chicken and didn’t bother her anymore with my requests. Unfortunately, and from what I have seen so far, is that customer service in Newcastle is not very good. Would give Woolworths Newcastle West 0 stars if I could. I am a paying customer, and I expect good customer service at the very least.

Always a pleasure shopping at Woolworths. They really are the fresh food people, they live up to this mantra. In fact for me, it’s very simple their oppositions colour is red which means stop, whereas their colour is green and it means go! The price of all items in all supermarkets is getting completely out of control, I hope that they know how much the average Australian are struggling. Still my go to place!

Just in store and saw a young attendant take a half chicken baked at 9.40 am and change packet to 11.30am. This is dangerous. The chickens in oven we’re not ready so there is no way a cold half chicken was ready at 11.30.

Woolworths Charlestown Square
Address: 30 Pearson St, Charlestown NSW 2290, Australia
We came here on Thursday 20th July 2023 at 1:30pm and again at 1:45pm as we normally do to get our food shopping done and after we finished we left and went to the chemist and then realised we had forgotten a couple of things so went back 1 item was to purchased at the customer service desk but we ended up leaving without all the items we went back for due to the rude and disrespectful customer service behaviour we copped from some young women who claimed to be a manager who definitely should not have that job title and or be in customer service she’s very rude and argues and calls customers liers and doesn’t know how to treat older people and people with disabilities with respect and curtsy,
Clearly her higher male store manager doesn’t want to do anything about it when a official complaint is made to the Woolworths customer complaints line he said he will chat with them but that is all he would do to clear it up this woman needs to loose her job before the store starts loyal customers no compassion or empathy from either staff member and they’re very judgmental and treats everyone including older people and customers with disabilities like theives and criminals,
Probably be avoiding this store from now on but otherwise will not be getting served by this young lady again ,
Please start treating all your customers as you want to be treated it goes both ways we be polite and respectful towards the staff members as expected and these people need to be respectful and polite towards customers as well,
This store manager and staff change around has gone bad this time please bring back the previous manager. ?
Thanks Aimee Stromeier

Anyone who has seen my reviews in the past knows I don’t hand out praise often or unless absolutely deserved and a Woolworths store is more likely to be a target and Charlestown Woolies is no different. However, after doing the weekly shopping this past Sunday my partner and I have nothing but praise for the checkout operater we were fortunate enough to be blessed with. Hayley was polite, professional, efficient, used common sense and was fast. 15 out of 10. I would say promote her but that would take her away from the checkouts. At the very least she should be a staff trainer.

I was after a pair of Scholl gel insoles for work and had already seen that Chemist Warehouse had them for $24.99. I found them at Woolworths for $30 so I asked if they price match and the answer was a flat NO. So much for every day low prices Woolies!!

I take both my high performance and expensive vehicles to Kàrcher and its an amazing facility and definitely the best in Newcastle by far (I have tried them all)
Out of the hundreds of times that I have been there, i have only ever had one clean that wasn’t as good as it should have been, but the staff had the issues fixed on the spot.
Nick and the rest of the staff are absolutely amazing and are always so helpful.
Thanks guys
