My husband and I got our meal here Monday night and tried the Sweet and Sour crunchy chicken with mashed potato and gravy, pineapple fritter and garlic bread. The chicken was totally DELICIOUS. Tasty and tender it will be on our list from now on. The fritter was the best I have ever had. The potato was nice with gravy and smooth and not over spiced. Garlic bread a bit soggy but tasty. Definitely getting this meal again.

Red Rooster Rivervale is a nice shop and friendly staff. However I’d like to rate the pickleburger….. If you want to take $13:00 and throw it straight in the bin, get a small chips and pickleburger…. It will be getting thrown straight in the bin.

Ordered a meal through Menulog tonight and received a half drank bottle of water in our sealed order instead of a Pepsi max. Wouldn’t usually be fussed on the wrong drink but the fact that it had been half drunk by someone else is disgusting

Not bad food but… Ordered online which my partner ordered on her phone. We went instore and they said nothing had come through on their end and told us to go outside and re try ordering it on their website. We tried everything refreshing the page opening a new one so we went and showed the lady it wasn’t working and showed her that the money had been taken out of our account but she still didn’t believe us. Can’t understand if the customer is showing you everything including that the money has been taken out that they will still decline your order.

Don’t go there with the hopes of getting a juice 1hr before they close, because you’ll receive a response of ‘oh we’re not doing juices anymore’, even though they don’t close for over an hour? I believe we were served by a Gemma (blonde plated pony tail, working Thursday evenings), perhaps it’s the same ‘Gem’ that’s been mentioned in a lot of other reviews, really representing the business well…

We were served by a girl called Gem and she had no customer service skills. She was rude from the start and her facial expressions said it all. It would be nice if she also looked at the customer when she was taking orders and not act like she was owed something. Very very poor customer service Bit of kindness and enthusiasm would go a long long way. Won’t be back

I went to the store today and I saw the price on display and when I went to pay the cashier charged much more then the price on the display. I showed her the price on the advertisement and she said that the advertisement was wrong. I asked to speak with the manager and she said that there isn’t any manager at the store . In my experience the cashier Shannon should have honour the price as the advertisement.

The short white lady Kelly at the cashier working on 5/11/22 at around 12:30pm asked me to go call myself to see if there is stock at another store when I asked if you could help me check and she said she doesn’t have time to serve me. You’re an employee entitled to serve customers properly. Is this how I get treated? Indirectly telling me to get out of the store because she’s lazy to serve me and only want to do transactions by the cashier. Couldn’t I just wait a few minutes?

The word reject is an anomaly. In these trying times of spiralling costs and alternatives, they remain steadfast to offer good value products at affordable prices. My family and I shop here all the time.

Always good value for hair products, deodorants and general cleaning products. I’m also loving their new line of cards they have. Cards that might cost you from $5-8 are only $2-4 and they also have an assortment that cost only 75c.

I just had to take a moment to rave about North Perth dry cleaner! They totally saved the day by working their magic on my clothes and making them look brighter and cleaner than ever. Not only did they get rid of stubborn stains, but they also managed to bring back that fresh, crisp feel that I thought was long gone. The team there is an absolute delight, Deborah is super friendly. Huge thanks to Deborah and her team.

Went it pick up my suit at the time I was told it would ready, the time printed on the docket and agreed to when I dropped it off. It took them 15mins to find it and it hadn’t been cleaned. It is now dirtier and crumpled, as it was left under a pile of washing. With no time to get it cleaned and pressed before a flight to Sydney and a wedding, I am now forced to purchase another suit. No offer to rectify this situation was given. Thanks.

DO NOT USE THEM! I have a silk skirt which I brought in for dry cleaning and stain removal. The owner did not inform me that the stain is going to be affected by the chemical he used in the process of dry cleaning as the fabric is silk. They also did not inform me the worsen stain when I picked up the skirt, (not a single word) I only found out the stain was still on the skirt when I got home. I HAVE TOLD THE OWNER THE STAIN IS FROM TOMATO SAUCE AND I RAN WATER ON IT and HE TOOK THE SKIRT ANYWAY. When I brought the skirt in it was two stain spots and now it is everywhere (picture attached). So whatever they did, they made it worse. He also told my partner he tried to clean the skirt twice! Both time did not disclose to me the remaining stains. They sent me an email saying If I wish to remove the stain, I will have to pay extra $20 for them to conduct silk treatment on the skirt.

YHA Ltd, trading as YHA Australia, is a not-for-profit of members trading corporation providing hostel and other accommodation, travel and associated service in Australia. It is a member organisation of Hostelling International.
YHA Ltd became a management and director controlled corporation with managers and directors now controlling the selection of successive directors and directors being able to appoint a least one-third of their number without election Directors may profit from payments but ordinary members are not entitled to a share of profits or assets. Profits are not necessarily spent or re-invested in the network of hostels or the provision of accommodation and services to members. The founder of the youth hostel movement, Richard Schirrmann, took youths away from the conditions of factories and cities to experience the countryside on foot and by bicycle and, in winter, on skis and skates, finding accommodation in barns, houses, school buildings and later designated hostels in the countryside. In the 1960s, YHA NSW recognised eight principles including "2) Every encouragement should be given to those who travel by their own effort whether they travel by foot, bicycle, canoe, horse or row or sail", "3) Hostellers should be encouraged to enjoy the bush" and "4) Rural industries ... could be visited".In recent decades, the Australian organisation changed focus and closed many hostels in rural areas and concentrated on providing travel accommodation in major tourist destinations, particularly large accommodation in metropolitan areas and coastal cities and towns where accommodation was already readily supplied. While still using the name YHA (Youth Hostels Association), the organisation no longer has a focus on providing accommodation for youths and now provides accommodation regardless of age. At the same time, the types of accommodation provided has changed from hostel to include hotel-style rooms and suites and self-contained accommodation. Having accumulated large debts on city and prime tourist location properties, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic decline in travel revenue, the organisation was forced to sell more hostels, many well below their account book value, with nineteen hostels closed.

Really clean and comfortable rooms and staff were friendly too however the vibe of the hostel is a bit strange. Not at all sociable, just lots of people in the dark common areas working on their laptops with headphones on. No events organised and the kitchen area is tiny for the size of the hostel! Great as a place to sleep for the night in a central location but not as a place to meet other travellers.

Our double private room was amazing (very small sink in the bathroom but it’s not that bad). Beds super comfy, air-conditioning and cleaning service for free. Common areas always clean and quiet. Reception always kind and available. Kitchenette… Not satisfied at all. It only has microwaves, toasters and air friers. We stayed two weeks but we struggled a lot to eat healthy food, because of the few possibilities of cooking.

The prize is a little bit high, compared to the offered services. I would recommend this hostel for a short stay.

Good Hostel, but no longer a hotel soul. Nothing to say about the rooms. But there is a terrible shortage of gas stoves for cooking! During my reservation period, thefts took place in the fridges. Don’t leave anything in, it’s for you. The prices are exorbitant for what it offers.

I liked the hostel. Friendly reception and bar staff, good facilities, and good common area facilities. Great north bridge location.

Lost a star (to be fair) only as there were two incidents where the cleaner physically attacked me with a vacuum cleaner and other cleaning supplies because I was working (digital nomad) in one of the common spaces and as I explained to him I couldn’t accommodate his request to move myself and my laptop at the time (July 2023).

Beds were really comfortable. Rooms (I stayed in a 4 bed female dorm) were small but clean. However, kitchen was minuscule compared the numbers that were living in the hostel, pls consider expanding the kitchen!!

There was also a lack of hostel/social activities, a first in the hostels I’ve visited. Too many long-term guests staying as well, maybe consider housing them in separate rooms as it really detracts from the hostel experience as a visitor.

Perth (Nyungar: Boorloo) is the capital and largest city of Western Australia. It is the fourth most populous city in Australia and Oceania, with a population of 2.2 million (80% of the state's) within Greater Perth. It is part of the South West Land Division of Western Australia, with the majority of Perth's metropolitan area on the Swan Coastal Plain between the Indian Ocean and the Darling Scarp. The city has expanded outward from the original British settlements on the Swan River, upon which its central business district and port of Fremantle are situated.
Perth was founded by Captain James Stirling in 1829 as the administrative centre of the Swan River Colony. The city is situated on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people, where Aboriginal Australians have lived for at least 45,000 years. Perth was named after the city of Perth in Scotland. Perth acquired city status in 1856, although the Perth City Council currently governs only a small area around the central business district. Substantial population growth occurred during the late 19th-century Western Australian gold rushes, and the city has continued to expand, particularly after World War II due to a high net migration rate. Post-war immigrants were predominantly from the British Isles and Southern Europe, while more recent arrivals see a growing population of Asian descent. During the late 20th and early 21st centuries, a series of mining booms in various regions of Western Australia propelled Perth into the role of the regional headquarters for significant mining operations.
Ranked as one of the world's most liveable cities, Perth was classified by the Globalization and World Cities Research Network as a Beta global city in 2020. As of 2021, Perth is divided into 30 local government areas, comprising over 350 suburbs. The metropolitan contours span 115 kilometres (71 mi) from Two Rocks in the north to Singleton in the south, and 45 kilometres (28 mi) from the west coast to Sawyers Valley in the east. Beyond the central business district, predominant urban centres within the metropolitan area include Armadale, Fremantle, Joondalup, Midland, and Rockingham. Most of those were originally established as separate settlements and retained a distinct identity after being subsumed into the wider metropolitan area. Mandurah, Western Australia's second-largest city, forms a conurbation with Perth along the coastline. Despite this, it is generally regarded as an independent city for practical purposes.
Perth features several important public buildings, as well as cultural and heritage sites. The city has various notable government buildings, including the Parliament House, Government House, the Supreme Court Buildings and the Perth Mint. The city is served by Fremantle Harbour and Perth Airport. It was a naval base for the Allies during World War II and today, the Royal Australian Navy's Fleet Base West is located on Garden Island. All five of Western Australia's universities are based in Perth.

Close to the city, interesting history/architecture and nice views over freemantle. For a gold coin donation it’s well worth the visit while in town. The volunteers are friendly and happy to answer questions and provide more information.

Netty. Was. Here. At 1pm for the sounding of the bells and firing of the cannon. If your lucky 1 volunteer gets to fire the cannon on the gun deck. Kade was a wonderful guide and host for the event.

Nice place to get a view of the bay and to learn about the whaling history when exploring the tunnel. They used to kill southern whales to fuel light bulbs and to make clothes. ? Leads right onto the bicycle track and is very accessible. Toilets available too. And can check out the art gallery.

Gorgeous little place with a rich history and knowledgeable staff. Gold coins donation. Walk around the grounds and see the old residences and explore the underground tunnel.. 1pm daily has the firing of the cannon and bell drop. Lawns are lovely place to have a rest or some lunch. Easy walking distance to lunch stops on Bathers Beach and a stunning view over Fremantle Harbour. Fantastic photo opportunities if, like me, you are on holiday..!

Beautiful place with scenic views! Take a picnic with you and enjoy a cool summer day. Involves a bit of hiking so be prepared. Not the most accessible place with a stroller as there are some steps along the way.

If you go in the bushfire season they will not let you take your car up, so be prepared accordingly to walk.

Beautiful gardens. Went on a weekday, so it wasn’t busy at all. $15 feels reasonable, just imagining the cost to run an operation like this these days. I felt the parking exit was a bit confusing, might be worthwhile to ask the attendants to mention how to exit when selling the tickets. lots of spacious lawns to lay down your picnic blankets. serene paradise not far from the city.

I recently visited Araluen Botanical Garden and had a wonderful experience, which I’d rate 4/5. The rose garden and stunning landscape, complete with a small waterfall, were truly enjoyable. The $15 entry fee felt worthwhile. The hourly train rides add to the family-friendly charm, making it a great choice for families with kids. There’s also a small play area for children and a lovely man-made pond. I highly recommend this picturesque garden for a day of relaxation and family fun.

Went midweek & it was absolutely packed! The queue just to get in went right back down the main road so suggest going early morning.

Beautiful gardens, lots of shade, would be great if the old Cafe was opened up again.

This is one of the nicest places to visit. During the week it is quieter than weekends should you want to enjoy the peaceful surroundings while walking through the park. If the Tulip festival is on it can get very busy but the flowers are spectacular and worth the visit. Try to get in early because the parking space becomes a challenge. There are good carts available during the festival and there are things for the kids too.
