First time visiting the shop and I have to say it’s the best aquarium shop in Perth. Wide selection of fresh water and salt water products as well as aquascaping and plants. The display are absolutely beautiful and well set up. Both freshwater and saltwater.

Great selection of fish all looking healthy.

We purchased a few plants, products and fish and found inspiration from their display tanks.

I will definitely be back to purchase more fish in the near future 🙂

The quality of fish here far exceeds those of a shop like Better Pet’s or Pet Barn. The level of vibrancy and health that these fish are kept at and the condition of them is excellent. I bought a school of Neon Tetras and not one of them had any health issues and are the most vibrant I’ve seen yet. Price’s maybe a little high for somethings but you’re definitely paying for the quality and customer service. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely will be my go to aquarium shop from now on.

My first visit today and I was very impressed with the display tanks of what is possible in aquascaping! Got some plants and was impressed with how well established roots were. I will have to come back when setting up my big tanks again and were willing to give advice and let me take my time!

Wow, what a hidden gem. I have lived in Maylands for over 10 years and, although I have seen the signs, I have never visited. A tranquil space full of bird song. Well kept water land and pathways. Kids liked the frog sound generator thing.

The best place to take doggos in the Perth area, period. Massive grassed areas for the ball chasers, little beach and river for the swimmers, plenty of shade for the sitters. Bbq areas, fenced playground, plenty of poop bins, coffee van, gazebos, paths, jetty. This is our pooches happy place. Been coming since they were pups and never had an issue with other dogs or people. We visit 3-5 times a week, despite the 25 minute drive.

A MUST VISIT PLACE FOR PEACE AND TRANQUILITY Beautiful place to visit and take a slow walk along the pathway thru the Bird Sanctuary whilst listening to all the sounds you can hear, from running water/streams to birds and other wild life. There is a carpark just off Guildford Road where you can park and you can walk all the way thru the bird sanctuary to Riverside Gardens which is all within.

The Perth Farmers Market is one of the most popular, offering a wide variety of fresh produce, meats, and cheeses. It’s a great place to stock up on local ingredients for your next meal. The Fremantle Markets are another great option, with a mix of stalls selling everything from antiques to clothing to souvenirs.

Top Local Market in Perth, Australia

Perth (Nyungar: Boorloo) is the capital and largest city of Western Australia. It is the fourth most populous city in Australia and Oceania, with a population of 2.2 million (80% of the state's) within Greater Perth. It is part of the South West Land Division of Western Australia, with the majority of Perth's metropolitan area on the Swan Coastal Plain between the Indian Ocean and the Darling Scarp. The city has expanded outward from the original British settlements on the Swan River, upon which its central business district and port of Fremantle are situated.
Perth was founded by Captain James Stirling in 1829 as the administrative centre of the Swan River Colony. The city is situated on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people, where Aboriginal Australians have lived for at least 45,000 years. Perth was named after the city of Perth in Scotland. Perth acquired city status in 1856, although the Perth City Council currently governs only a small area around the central business district. Substantial population growth occurred during the late 19th-century Western Australian gold rushes, and the city has continued to expand, particularly after World War II due to a high net migration rate. Post-war immigrants were predominantly from the British Isles and Southern Europe, while more recent arrivals see a growing population of Asian descent. During the late 20th and early 21st centuries, a series of mining booms in various regions of Western Australia propelled Perth into the role of the regional headquarters for significant mining operations.
Ranked as one of the world's most liveable cities, Perth was classified by the Globalization and World Cities Research Network as a Beta global city in 2020. As of 2021, Perth is divided into 30 local government areas, comprising over 350 suburbs. The metropolitan contours span 115 kilometres (71 mi) from Two Rocks in the north to Singleton in the south, and 45 kilometres (28 mi) from the west coast to Sawyers Valley in the east. Beyond the central business district, predominant urban centres within the metropolitan area include Armadale, Fremantle, Joondalup, Midland, and Rockingham. Most of those were originally established as separate settlements and retained a distinct identity after being subsumed into the wider metropolitan area. Mandurah, Western Australia's second-largest city, forms a conurbation with Perth along the coastline. Despite this, it is generally regarded as an independent city for practical purposes.
Perth features several important public buildings, as well as cultural and heritage sites. The city has various notable government buildings, including the Parliament House, Government House, the Supreme Court Buildings and the Perth Mint. The city is served by Fremantle Harbour and Perth Airport. It was a naval base for the Allies during World War II and today, the Royal Australian Navy's Fleet Base West is located on Garden Island. All five of Western Australia's universities are based in Perth.

It is not a huge market like other markets in WA but it has got something for everyone. It has a wide variety of fresh produce, fashion, accessory, specialty and service stores. Sometimes, we buy our weekly bread, fresh fruit, vegetables and meat here. We will normally sit down for a meal after shopping.

Always friendly service. Have hired kayaks a couple of times and bikes a few times both on my own and with my kids. The bikes are so nice and easy to ride, in great condition. When the kids were younger we used to hire a caboose and they loved it, and it made for great family outings and sight seeing with little ones, with plenty of playgrounds to stop at along the way. The bike paths around the city are excellent and lots to see. This is a great thing to do for tourists and locals both.

Amazing gym! I’m staying locally for a period of time and chose this gym due to the amazing reviews. The reviews sure didn’t lie! Everyone is so friendly and it feels like a real community. I did my first class yesterday with trainer Ian and it was awesome! Can’t wait to come back!

I wanted to join a gym for a few weeks whilst staying locally so i popped into Snap to see if there was a way i could join. The staff member who i spoke to couldn’t have been more friendly or welcoming! She set me up with some membership, and i went for the first time the next day. The gym is incredibly well equipped! Probably one of the best gyms ive ever been into. The kit is all immaculately clean, and the patrons are careful to wipe down kit used too. There’s two floors, so space for different kinds of workouts and i felt comfortable working out there right away. Its never busy too so you really can use whatever equipment you need when you are there which is also awesome. Would highly recommend! Its not often i look forward to going to the gym, so i’m really glad i joined this one! 🙂

My favorite library in perth, better than the state library near the train station. If I have too much stuff for heavy study session, ill go to the state one but this cozy architectural masterpiece library has a great selection of books i can borrow. Friendly staff as well.

I am so disappointed. Perth library obviously doesn’t understand that old books can get damaged along the way and then the people who check the books don’t notice it so they blame the damages on the last person who did it. Otherwise, it is a nice library but they should be putting limits on those graphic novels because they get checked out all the time, maybe by the same person???

This outlet center keeps things simple – it’s not the most exciting place to shop. Unless you have a particular item in mind, your visit might be a bit underwhelming. It’s a quick in-and-out kind of place where you can find what you need without too much hassle. However, don’t expect a variety of choices; the offerings are pretty limited. The food options follow the same trend – not much to rave about, just basic eats. If you’re all about efficiency and a straightforward shopping experience, it could work for you.

I revisited Watertown Brand Outlet Centre after more than a year, and my experience was a mixed bag. On the positive side, the centre still houses a range of national and international brands, offering a variety of styles to fit different budgets. The bargains are certainly there if you’re looking for adult fashion.

However, the atmosphere has noticeably shifted. I observed around 10-15 boarded-up shops during my walk around the centre, which took away from the overall shopping experience. Additionally, options for children’s toys were scant, save for a pharmacy that had a limited selection.Watertown remains a destination for bargain hunters, but it feels like it’s in a period of transition.

While the essence of what made it attractive is still there, there are areas for improvement that can’t be overlooked. Here’s hoping my next visit shows positive changes.

Average Outlet Center with Limited Offerings. If you don’t have a specific purchase in mind, this place might not be worth the visit. It’s a straightforward outlet where you can quickly find what you’re looking for, buy it, and leave. Food options are limited and unremarkable.

Discover the Biggest Movie Theater in Perth, Australia

In the vibrant city of Perth, Australia, movie enthusiasts can find themselves immersed in cinematic experiences at a host of exceptional movie theaters. From luxurious multiplexes to charming independent cinemas, Perth offers a diverse range of venues that cater to every filmgoer’s desire.

If you’re seeking an unparalleled movie-watching experience, look no further than Perth’s best movie theaters. These venues boast cutting-edge technology, comfortable seating, and a curated selection of films that will leave you entertained and enthralled.

Top Movie Theater in Perth, Australia

A movie theater (American English), cinema (British English), or cinema hall (Indian English), also known as a movie house, picture house, picture theater or simply theater, is a business that contains auditoria for viewing films (also called movies) for public entertainment. Most are commercial operations catering to the general public, who attend by purchasing tickets.
The film is projected with a movie projector onto a large projection screen at the front of the auditorium while the dialogue, sounds and music are played through a number of wall-mounted speakers. Since the 1970s, subwoofers have been used for low-pitched sounds. Since the 2010s, the majority of movie theaters have been equipped for digital cinema projection, removing the need to create and transport a physical film print on a heavy reel.
A great variety of films are shown at cinemas, ranging from animated films to blockbusters to documentaries. The smallest movie theaters have a single viewing room with a single screen. In the 2010s, most movie theaters had multiple screens. The largest theater complexes, which are called multiplexes—a concept developed in Canada in the 1950s—have up to thirty screens. The audience members often sit on padded seats, which in most theaters are set on a sloped floor, with the highest part at the rear of the theater. Movie theaters often sell soft drinks, popcorn and candy, and some theaters sell hot fast food. In some jurisdictions, movie theaters can be licensed to sell alcoholic drinks.

Over the many years and under different names this cinema has evolved and the current renovated complex is comfortable to watch a flick whether it’s on a regular screen through to Gold Class with the reclining seats, and meal and drinks service. The cinema seems modern and clean from the cinema seating through to the toilets, making it one of the more enjoyable complexes to spend your free time in.

The complex also has casual restaurants and a timezone to complete the experience, and there’s plenty of parking around that’s great except when it’s a super busy time.

Wow great experience. We went there to watch Fast X. That place is really good. Good service more facilities like snacks/beverages/therapy chairs/ very comfortable film halls / washrooms/ quick photo stalls ?(you can take a photo and at the same time you can take its printed copy) . We enjoyed very well friendly staff.

This Cinema is keeping up to its standards hence rated 5 Star. Easy check – in to both Gold class and V-Max areas with the assistance of friendly staff members. Cannot fault the picture and quality of sound specially Gold Class where awesome food and beverage priced reasonably and good portions, very comfortable clean seats. The parking could get tight at busy times. Overall great cinema experience !

Nice enough refurbishment but it’s clearly understaffed with a lot of the candy bar/toilet areas messy and unstocked.

All the nice bells and whistles mean very little when one of your premium-priced VMAX cinemas has the bottom third of the screen noticeably much darker than the rest of the screen, making any scenes set during the night pretty distracting.

Although the visitor centre staff were helpful – it took several emails & phone calls to get the bookings right. I did find the ticketing confusing and I think a better lay-out could be done to make bookings clearer. I had to follow up for some info and one of the pick up info was not correct on the day. Luckily, the company contacted me and I had to ‘double back’ to get to the correct spot – losing my subscription sunglasses in the rush!

I spoke with Nicola. She organized the 4 days I had to spare. Captain Cook cruise to Freemantle, Ferry information to the zoo, The Mint, Hillary’s & aquarium, hop on/hop off bus & Optus stadium. This was done with a smile & nothing is to hard attitude. A follow up phone call to make sure I had received information for the Optus stadium tour via email.

I would recommend a visit to the Visitor Centre. It is central to Perth on William st. 10/10
