      I joined Agency888, MEC in January 2023. This is my first venture into the acting profession. The crew have been fantastic with giving guidance and supplying updates of training, events and presenting me with opportunities very early in my short time with them. I find them to be very professional to be involved with. So far, I have been presented with an opportunity to do an ad on a cruise boat and attend an audition for an ad with Queensland Tourism and even though I wasn`t successful, the experience has been important for me to gain confidence and gain knowledge of how the industry works. Recently my partner Yvonne Brisley and I were lucky enough to be given a job as a Featured Extra in the romance comedy movie “One Perfect Match” the latest featured film from Jaggi Entertainment with stars Merritt Patterson and Joshua Sasse, and directed by Jo-Anne Brechin . This was a wonderful experience and gives me confidence moving forward. In May i attended the Bud Hopes Casting workshop in Brisbane in a bid to better myself in the industry. I really enjoyed this experience and i learned a lot on the day. I am looking forward to more success in this new career and am hoping to be involved in some work as an actor in an ad, some modelling work or a small part in another movie, maybe with some part where i get to talk.       Finding an ads supplier that really delivers value over and above what the likes of Google Ads give you dollar for dollar in my 15 years experience as a marketer is hard to find though. Usually it starts well and complacency sets in with ads published then to ‘set and forget’.       ReachLocal won our business by promising much improved Google PPC results. The first couple of weeks they totally ignored our brief, sending us tons of unwanted traffic and when we finally had access to the portal and noted this, there was no refund of funds wasted. Although our account manager and the ads manager worked hard to fix the underperformance, RL were not able to improve performance against our other campaigns. Over XMAS we asked for the budget to be reduced to 25% of normal spend and were assured this would be done. However it wasn’t and we wasted several thousand dollars over the holiday period where we were closed and still spending all our normal budget. Again a request for a refund was just ignored. The end of the three month lock in period could not come quickly enough for us. Good staff, but I think the management just ignore any issues. My tip pick a smaller agency.

      I booked a trip to Melbourne today and the experience was extremely poor. The seats on the tour bus were very hard and my back hurt after sitting for more than seven hours. Moreover, the tour guide did not introduce anything and even charged a tip of five Australian dollars per person. I definitely don’t agree. I would give it a thumbs up and seriously don’t recommend it. Alos the car kept hitting me during the process.

Dutch navigator Willem Janszoon, the first European to land in Australia, explored the west coast of the Cape York Peninsula in 1606. In 1770, James Cook claimed the east coast of Australia for the Kingdom of Great Britain. In 1788, Arthur Phillip founded the colony of New South Wales, which included all of what is now Queensland. Queensland was explored in subsequent decades, and the Moreton Bay Penal Settlement was established at Brisbane in 1824 by John Oxley. Much of the economy of colonial Queensland was powered by blackbirded South Sea Islander slaves at the same time that tens of thousands of Aboriginal people were being killed in the frontier wars of colonial expansion. On 6 June 1859 (now commemorated as Queensland Day), Queen Victoria signed the letters patent to establish the colony of Queensland, separating it from New South Wales and thereby establishing Queensland as a self-governing Crown colony with responsible government. Queensland was among the six colonies which became the founding states of Australia with Federation on 1 January 1901. Since the Bjelke-Petersen era of the late 20th century, Queensland has received a high level of internal migration from the other states and territories of Australia and remains a popular destination for interstate migration. Queensland has the third-largest economy among Australian states, with strengths in mining, agriculture, transportation, international education, insurance, and banking. Nicknamed the Sunshine State for its tropical and sub-tropical climates, Great Barrier Reef, and numerous beaches, tourism is also important to the state's economy.
