Wholesale meat market with tons of cuts and selection. Everything appears to be frozen. Don’t expect organic or high end selections, but the quality is supposed to be good. It’s not for the squeamish since there are organs and bones very visible throughout the store. No blood or odors though, so it’s just rough around the edges.
The prices are great and they have way more selection than any regular store.
I took two stars off because the lines were very long and the cashiers were slow. When I got to the front, both registers had customers dallying at the register, putting back produce (those big brown tubers) and slowing everything down, and my own cashier was very slow. Even the other workers, not the cashiers, were telling them to speed it up. I may just stick to Afrik in the future, nearby.

The Florida Ave. Market is recently referred to as Union Market by everyone moving into the city. The area has changed and there’s more change coming to the area. Massive construction with mixed use residential, commercial, restaurant and entertainment have arrived. Rumors going around that this will be part of the NoMa or Capitol Hill extended naming. The changes are massive and very nice!

Great place for curated vintage clothing, art, glassware, and jewelry. It is kind of far out there in Georgetown and a bit of a pain to get to, but I’d definitely say it’s worth it to check out. Be aware on hot days, it’s mostly in direct sunlight and can get really hot in the parking lot

An organized flea market where you can find unique and ancient jewelries, coins, and clothes. Most of the venders there are friendly and patient. The Georgetown Flea Market is a great Sunday activity for friends and family.
There are some vendors who are there regularly and some who show up every so often.
There’s a lot of fun clothing, accessories, decor, and miscellaneous things.

I was disappointed coming to this location. I have been to many five belows in other states and always found them well-stocked and staffed. The staff here were friendly and helpful but seemed overwhelmed. There was a huge lack of items in both the phone accessories section (no screen protectors other than ones for apple watches and only 2 cases for my phone type, NO CHARGING BOXES only cables?), and the perfume isle (there were barely any perfumes and only 2 samplers out, one for men and one for women). I did not stay long as I was so disappointed in the experience.
As this is the only five below in DC, it seems like whoever is responsible at corporate needs to put more effort into making sure the store is fully stocked and that there is enough staff to manage it, even if that means raising pay and benefits to be more enticing to potential employees (especially now that it’s less like five-below, and more like five-and-UP with the price gouges). As the only DC location it could be a huge business success if properly taken care of. I will try this location again in a few months to see if it has improved, but as a 5-below customer for years I am in shock and think the other reviewers must not have seen what a proper 5-below looks like.
The saving grace was the helpful attitude from staff, but otherwise, this was the worst five below experience I’ve had in 7+ years of shopping at these stores.

While in town for my wife’s work, my son and I have been out exploring the city. We have never been much for buying tchotchkes as souvenirs, yet few things can bring back the memories of travel like a material thing found along the way. After visiting the gift shop at the National Aquarium in Baltimore and seeing the crummy toy offerings, I told my son we’d find a real toy store – and Child’s Play Toys & Books is definitely that! We were greeted and assisted by passionate toy aficionados – professional retailers. Take your time when you visit this store – there’s a ton to see. Now my son has a quality toy that will bring back memories of our DC trip. We also had a puzzle gift wrapped for free at the counter as a gift for my father-in-law for watching our animals – this was the perfect store for us today! (You know you’re dealing with a serious store when they have an entire shelf dedicated to the best board game ever made – Catan!)

This place is amazing, my son has been busy in an adventure of a lifetime. You may not have Toys R Us, (RIP) but you can bet the adventure awaits you here. The pictures is just a point of the mass of toys. There’s parking in the back and the front. Food and Starbucks next door. The employees are Soo helpful with joy.

Regal Cinema is here, DC Chinatown. I love every place with a Regal Cinema. There is also a DISTRICT E, a Haggen Dazs Ice Cream Shop, an entry to Capitol Arena, and an interior entry to Clyde’s of Gallery Place, American restaurant, having parking, then, outdoor for cobblestone plaza is Smoothie King, just across the street numerous eateries that just opened up. This all is in the same block as METRO GALLERY PLACE/CHINATOWN STATION, and a short walk from Martin Luther King, Jr. Public Library.

Nice shopping area in Downtown Washington, D.C. The decorations are always nicely done and there some terrific restaurants there.
The only issue I have with City Center is they allow screeching children in the lovely fountains in the main plaza. If you are walking through, make sure to bring noise canceling airpods, and do not dine outside at Del Frisco’s or Fig & Olive as you will not be able to talk to your companion. Lastly, the “security” will not ask the children to get out of the fountain even during thunderstorms.

We went here primarily for the Christmas events and was great. The tree and lights were really good. The ice maze was really neat to walk through. Had a long line, but moved dencently and got through the line and maze in an hour.

I’m general there is 1 rack with all the clothes that are 14+ and up and the clothes never appeal to me. I like the household section and home organization products. We wanted to make sure the price for a certain piece of jewelry was right, and she proceeded to treat us like we were thieves. I visit this store every now and then because I work nearby and always need new tops/blouses. I usually carry a backpack with my laptop inside, and that might be why sometimes I feel like security is watching me and even following me around. They usually put new things at the front of the store to the right, making it crowded. Twice I’ve noticed staff go there right after me. Like they’re checking on me. I understand they want to showcase new arrivals at the front window, but it’s creating an uncomfortable situation for the customer while the back of the store has a lot of space.

She dismissed me and the only thing she said was “downstairs.” I said my family is here, she goes “they can also go downstairs.” Very rude attitude when I was being kind. Marshalls in general has great stuff, but this location is sub-par. It’s uncomfortably hot in the store, to the point where I felt like I was going to pass out. The inventory is disorganized, the cashier was rude to me and they will give you attitude for making a return even if you have the receipt.

The most organized and well-stocked Marshall’s I’ve ever shopped at. This location opened in 2014 and is one of the few businesses to survive the COVIDpocalypse that took down the entire Chevy Chase Pavilion as well as Saks Fifth Avenue across the street + the Galleria Mazza. It was a bloodbath but I guess Marshall’s survived thanks to it’s stellar customer service, well stocked aisles, management and friendly associates..

I really stan lululemon products and the 14th street store. I have yet to have a bad experience at any lululemon store but this one in particular has always been especially great each visit. The sales associates are incredibly helpful and kind. They really take their time to talk with you about the product you’re interested in and never hesitate to show you other options if you want to know comparable products. On the flip side, If you’re just in there to browse they respect that as well. They are really great about honoring the quality policy and always making sure your purchases go through your account so you can always look them up for returns. I really cannot say enough great things about this store and lulus products. I know everyone talks about the cost but, I’ve had leggings from here that have last over 5 years and counting lol whereas another brand yes half the price would maybe last me a solid year so I’ve never regretted a single lulu purchase.

I just had to return a couple pairs of ABC pants and it was a disaster. The computer wouldn’t work and it took the associate at least 15 minutes to get it figured out. That is not what I’m reviewing. The associate named Kassidy? was extremely helpful and took the time to make sure that everything got straightened out. I would definitely recommend Lululemon because of their quality and I can’t say enough about the customer service that accompanies the product. Also, great leadership by the host at the front of the store. The employees worked together extremely well to get the job done and also assisted other customers. Glowing review for the store and I would be extremely proud if I was the General Manager or the Regional Manager.

No one is ever at the checkout counter to help. Nearly every time I go here, either my self check-out machine or someone else’s machine malfunctions halfway through, and you have to go track down one of the employees to reset it. When that happens you’re lucky if the staff member doesn’t roll their eyes at you or mutter something under their breath. Target needs to have someone assigned to the counter or at the very least, connect the check-out machines to staff pagers.

Small but fairly well provisioned food section, with both snack foods and some home groceries, heavy on the convenience foods. Prices are high but better than other stores in the area. Conveniently open until 11 p.m. on Saturdays, in an area where other stores close at 9 or 10, but it closes earlier on other days of the week. Free parking with store validation.
Downside: Service was sparse and heavily dependent on self-service—there were no employees on the floor helping customers, and of three employees around the checkout counter, only one was operating a register, quite lackadaisically.

Picking up was very simple – there’s a little room right at the entrance (or you can opt for them to deliver it to your car when you arrive). Hands down 100000x times better than our attempts to do the same thing at Home Depot.
Inside, the store is generally well-stocked, but the organization of things can be a little confusing/nonsensical. Use the app where you can to try to find the items you are looking for.

I purchased a garage disposal for Mom on Mother’s Day. I requested that Lowe’s do the installation! But after listing my project online installation no one has contacted me. I have called constantly. Spoke with a couple people in the appliance department. Mom is older so I want to make sure she’s safe because I’m 5 hours away. I have spent hours just waiting to speak to an associate and of course, I came back to return the product and go to HOME DEPOT. If they can’t take care of a small appliance, they can’t coordinate a HVAC System or something larger!! I’m done!

As a contractor I find that Lowes over all is not well stock in some areas. It has been my experience that All the stores are the same. For instance their lumber department has low inventory always. Most of the wood they have is terrible. Their tile department again low inventory there is never have the piece I need. The brand in the plumbing department is a low grade in my opinion. But you be the judge. I usually go to HD for these things.
Now the tool department has Bosh, Crafman brand. The small tools are almost always in stock. The electrical department is pretty stock as well. Their gardening department is just as stock and divers as HD.
Lastly even that they are low staff (very low staff) when I happen to ask a question the employees I ask make an huge effort to help even if at the end they don’t have the item.

I’m so disappointed in the lack of customer service at Lowe’s! They are consistently understaffed and lackluster! I placed an online order with free assembly at 9:30 am. It is currently 4:58 pm and my order still isn’t ready nor assembled. When I approached the manager with my order number she had to radio assistance several times! When they arrived the product wasn’t even assembled and the excuse was they everyone from that department called out! When I asked for her manager, she pointed to a wall with his name and phone number. Once she saw that I was serious about making a complaint, she then asked an associate to assemble my order! Down right ridiculous! Never again! What’s the use of placing an order online & don’t offer services if you can’t do them!

Frager’s has everything you need with options of quality products. As a professional interior painter, I can always count on them to have the products that I frequently run out of in-between jobs, lol. This is my local hardware store. I’ve had many sets of keys copied here: they are quick and efficient. And I’ve gotten many key rings and other key-accessories. Prices vary from moderate to expensive. As with all the Ave Hardwares in the District, somethings are over-priced as compared to home Depot, but they offer convenience and individualized service/care as you shop. This store’s outdoor garden/plant section is amazing! They offer an entire separate shop of house plants (holiday decorations in winter) and a huge selection of pots, soil, and of course plants! I went on for for screws and left with a hibiscus!

I have been shopping at Frager’s for 25 years. Overall the customer service has been good over the years, but within the last few years it been been consistently good. However, recently it’s customer service has become excellent due to one person. Reggie is an outstanding employee. He is patient and listens to customer’s concerns. Before the store closed, I bought a scratch and dent Weber grill with missing parts. Reggie said don’t worry I will deliver it the next day and help you locate the missing parts. The next day the delivery was on time, and that evening he called me and registered my grill for the warranty and ordered the missing parts for me. Reggie and I were on the phone with Weber for almost an hour. He went above and beyond, and subsequently, I had to order one part he recommended but really could do without and Weber’s Artificial Intelligence CALLS for loads of patience, and Reggie stayed the course with Weber’s automated customer service. I cannot thank him enough.

This is my favorite Crate & Barrel to go to in all of DC, MD, and VA. The staff is exceptional and have helped my wife and I with numerous transactions to purchase, exchange, and return products ordered in-store, online, and received as gifts. We cannot say enough about how friendly the people are that work at this C&B.
The store is seasonally updated with their new decor and homewards, but also has an extensive collection of furnishings on display.
Of note – also have an attached Starbucks that makes for a convenient snack or drink to accompany your visit to C&B.

Update: the more you go there the more you find good stuff. It is a great place to shop with good sales people and staff. They are so kind and friendly and always helpful!

Horrible customer service. Second time in a week I have been placed on hold for 10 minutes after being told they would find an associate to help me. Had to hang up both times, never did get anybody. And I am a customer that has just spent $6k on furniture from their store and just looking for a little assistance. Very disappointing, expect better.

The store is bright and has all the usual Crate & Barrel perks, with many larger pieces of furniture on view upstairs. Staff are very friendly.
The customer service has been uneven, however. The first time we came, I was greeted by someone with “hey, welcome back!” (which is fine), but then it took some insisting that I wasn’t who the sales person thought I was.
The second time, we stopped by to see something that ended up not being on the floor (again, fine). However, we were told we could see a sample of the wood, but then the person who assisted us couldn’t produce one. They instead recommended another piece and sent us across the store to see it – to what ended up being yet another piece that we weren’t interested in. At that same visit, we were told we should please always order through the store, because online competition made it hard for stores to stay open.
The last time, I came to pick up an online order, clicked the curbside pick up link, and waited outside as instructed. After about 10-15 mins I got in line inside and asked about the order. I was told to go back outside. I waited another 10-15. When I returned, my order sat at the cashier’s; I remarked that I had been instructed to wait at the curb, and was told “he probably didn’t communicate that” (not sure who).
Each of these incidents seems small, but next time I’ll probably try go to a different store or just order on the website.

Joybird was phenomenal! Ruth Jean, the designer, was extremely helpful when I told her I needed a new sectional to replace my old couch. The Bryant petite modular sectional is amazing. Delivery folks were fantastic. The whole process was easy and painless! Love the prime peacock pet friendly fabric!

My husband and I had a great experience at the Joybird store in DC. Cynthia was extremely helpful! I had done research online, but ended up selecting different pieces after seeing them all in person. She was super patient as I price-compared everything, helping me calculate the sales prices of different items. Cynthia has a great system for helping to choose fabric colors, especially since we wanted a sofa and chair to go next to each other. The furniture arrived ahead of schedule which was a pleasant surprise and we had no issues with the delivery. We are super happy with our Hughes Sleeper Sofa and Hughes Apartment Chair!

I had an amazing visit to the Joybird store in D.C. From the moment I stepped inside, Candice warmly welcomed me. Her expertise and assistance were exceptional, and she guided me through various materials and sizes. The staff was so patient and kind, and Candice provided me with a detailed timeline, maintaining consistent communication from the beginning to the delivery. The delivery itself was smooth, and I’m absolutely smitten with my new sectional! I wholeheartedly endorse Joybird – a definite 100% recommendation!

The team at Joybird on 14th street deserves 5 stars. Each time I’ve been into the store they have been extremely patient, helpful, welcoming, understanding and overall great to deal with. They are happy to answer questions and provide advice (which I’ve found super helpful as it’s helped me choose the right colors and styles) but not pushy or overbearing – they actually made the process enjoyable. I have purchased two couches from Joybird and couldnt be happier with them! A special shout out to Candice who is AMAZING!! She has been excellent throughout the decision and purchasing process and I’d definitely recommend her to anyone else looking for furniture!
