      We made the trip to South Park Mall and to American Girl Place. We coincidentally parked right at the mall entrance where American Girl was located. The store was clean with lots of friendly staff members. My daughter was nothing but smiles. There’s a huge selection of dolls to choose from. Ones in different themes, eras and accessories like outfit changes, pets, vehicles etc. Throughout the store you’ll also find reading books for each doll.

      The staff member who helped us was named Jennifer. Jennifer was nothing short of sunshine to deal with. She was engaging and had my daughter smiling throughout her search to figure out what she wanted.

      We will definitely be visiting for more.

      Tea and cookies. Overall it was a good experience for the kid. As an adult it was quite boring but it’s not really intended for male adults who don’t play with dolls.

      What made it worth it was the look on my child’s face when we sat down for tea.

      It is quite expensive in general, tea is basic and sides are likely cheap pre-packaged snacks, which at the price for 45 a person kind of stings a little. Corporate America has no shame in attaching a hefty price tag to providing unique experiences to your children.

      But still, it was a good experience over all.

      This is such a fun store to shop in and explore!! If going on the weekends its nice to get there when they first open, as it does get crowded!

      Customer service is typically great and I love the salon! It is not an inexpensive store, so may want to check that out before you go. It is easy to get carried away!!

      My daughter is 10 and loves AG, but I dont know who of us has more fun here!!

      My daughter and i celebrated her 6th birthday here and let me just say the staff was so patient and helpful as my baby girl shopped around and to add icing on the cake we took the mommy and me mothers day cooking/tea party class at the American Girl Bistro!!!! Chelsea and Jade were so energetic and knowledgeable 10/10 highly recommend! be sure to make reservations/get tickets weeks in advance

      This is a great little store. A very nice greeter welcomes you in. There’s a lot of sets- but not overwhelming. It’s maybe not as amazing as other lego stores I’ve been to that had a lot more space and displays- but given the size they do a great job. The staff were all nice and asked if we needed help. Only thing I wish is they’d have some sale items or something from time to time- everything is retail price. But I get it- and honestly if they had sales I’d never be able to get a set anyway as it stays really busy. Worth the trip if you’re looking for a current set- but if you’re coming just to look at builds you may be disappointed.

      Omg! I have never seen a Lego store like this! Was so excited and in total heaven. This 52 year old wanted to do some serious shopping but sadly, none of it would fit in my suitcase for the flight home! The staff was wonderful and totally sympathized with me lol

      My son loves to come here to play with Legos and get inspiration from the many displays. There are hundreds of sets, dozens of displays, and three different tables set up for kids to build and create. The staff are friendly and engaging without trying to push sales.

      I have been twice to charlotte and love shopping here. Lots of brands’ quality stuff. Nice atmosphere. There are two many options to buy stuff. premium design of the place. Enough parking space and lot of open area.

      I visited the outlets this past weekend with family and we were able to get majority of our back to school shopping completed.

      The pros: great sales in some of the stores, with a large selection of familiar brands. Many of restroom available for the large crowds of shoppers which I was very appreciative about! The restrooms were clean as well. Absolutely a great set of staff in the coach store. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. I also want to spotlight the staff members in the famous footwear, Tommy Hilfiger, as well for being so friendly and professional. The Aunt Annie’s was delicious and the staff was very nice. I think the supervisor should be spotlighted for her professional while dealing with a few customers that were so nice to her. She still maintained her professionalism and continued to do her job.

      The cons: Many of the stores just had staff standing around but no one was asking anyone if they need assistance or even a hello or smile when walking in (“Bath & Body Works” & “Lids” are a perfect example.) Bath & Body Works: Absolutely no hello, no help on the sales floor to assist with questions, but there was 5 people behind the registers. So that was not a good experience and I will not go back into that store for sure. Although these outlets sell similar brands as many of other outlets this mall just isn’t one I need to revisit. I feel that it was a nice experience but also dealing with the energy of rude staff throughout some of the shops just left a bad taste in my mouth. Also the sales were decent but not great!! I found some better prices in a nearby traditional mall; and also prefer to shop where customer service is still a top priority and valued. Maybe the experience would be better on a weekday or time where there is less of a crowd and staff have more time to engage or be of assistance. However I traveled really far to experience these outlets and I am just left feeling like “okay I seen what they have to offer but I could also find these items and better service in another mall location.”

      This mall has a fairly decent selection of shops. It didn’t appear busy but I visited midweek, 10th May 2023, A few of the shops appear to be closed. There is also a food court with about 8 good outlets.

      There was a noted security presence, both police and private security. There was also a mobile Police post in the car park

      This is probably due to firearm incidents in the recent past.

      Review for Northlake Mall: Safety Concerns and Lackluster Experience

      It is with a heavy heart that I feel compelled to share my incredibly disappointing and concerning experience at Northlake Mall, located in north Charlotte. This shopping destination, once promising, has unfortunately become a place of high personal safety risks and a significant decline in overall quality.

      My utmost concern lies with the repeated occurrences of shootings that have plagued this mall. The frequency of such incidents is alarming and poses a serious threat to personal safety. The atmosphere is tainted by an unsettling presence, and the overall feeling of security is severely compromised. It is deeply disheartening to witness the deteriorating state of this once vibrant shopping center.

      Adding to the distressing state of affairs is the growing vacancy within the mall. Numerous stores have gone out of business, leaving vast stretches of empty spaces. The overall ambiance now feels desolate and lackluster, contributing to a sense of abandonment. The lack of thriving businesses and bustling activity greatly diminishes the shopping experience that visitors rightfully expect.

      Given these significant concerns, I strongly recommend exploring alternative shopping destinations in the Charlotte area. Carolina Place and SouthPark Mall, for example, provide safer environments with more robust security measures in place. Not only do these alternatives prioritize customer safety, but they also offer a wider variety of shopping options, ensuring a more fulfilling and enjoyable experience.

      In conclusion, Northlake Mall’s current state is disheartening and raises valid concerns regarding personal safety. The numerous store closures and vacancy within the mall further contribute to its overall decline. It is in your best interest to consider other shopping centers, such as Carolina Place or SouthPark Mall, which prioritize safety and provide a more vibrant and fulfilling shopping experience.

      Be prepared to walk. Not all the stores are correctly listed on the website. Some store are missing from the in mall directory as well. Pretty much the same as every other mall. Very clean, good traffic flow, not a lot of noise pollution in the “mall” except in each store. Smells from the individual stores and the food vendors are there but that is part of the experience.

      Love Northlake Mall! This mall is convenient if you live in North Charlotte or the city’s northern suburbs, and it has a range of stores along with easy, accessible parking. Lenscrafters in particular is awesome- the staff there are always friendly and helpful, and they have a nice selection of lenses, frames, and accessories.

      In terms of safety, I’ve never felt unsafe at Northlake. There is a police presence and a parental supervision policy for kids/teens. Whenever I’ve been there, it’s never been anything besides quiet and calm. I also appreciate the lack of crowds, unlike the beehive that is Concord Mills.

      Overall, if you live in the northern part of Charlotte or its northern suburbs, this is a reliable, convenient place to shop. Go for it!

      Ok, the only good thing I can say on this day…….. The store looked pretty well organized, however customer service was on the unfriendly side, and the bathrooms was a complete nasty place to come to, the men’s bathroom was out of order, and women’s bathroom was something that I just couldn’t believe my eyes, Definitely NOT TOLERABLE.       Unfortunately, had to stop shopping here as a result of the persistent indifferent staff and periodic spontaneous theft occurrences. I think this place is targeted often as a result of staff being primarily women. Many of the staff have been employed at this location for a significant number of years and I think that has sprouted complacency. It has always confuse me as why some of the most lacking social skills people are adamant about working with the public.

      It’s good to be alive, here. Having been super fit when younger – I have struggled to look and feel as healthy as I once did, and tend to avoid places that might give me reason to feel “less than.” My son needed some athletic wear and suggested we pop in to Lululemon. Before I even made it through the front door – I saw that the mannequins are not artificially skinny and covered a range of shapes. Phew. Next came the staff who range in age, size & color as much as the real world does. We were assisted by a number of kind staff – 2 of whom were middle-aged, like me. And not perfect size 2s. Real people. Again…. Like me. They carry regular sizes and don’t stop w “large”. My son, 22 and still fit and athletic, said he felt comfortable trying on a few different looks and is motivated to focus on his health more after visiting this shop. And I am confident that I can find something that works for me, too. This was my 1st visit to Lululemon, but it won’t be my last. I applaud their approach to comfort, quality, style, function and real life. Well Done!!!!

      Been shopping at this location for years and most of my clothing has come from this location. Was really disappointed by how they treated me when I tried to get a replacement for my commission pants that had ripped at the seam. Once I inquired about it, quickly 3 workers surrounded me and asked for proof of purchase (which these were gifted). Saying they have to make sure I bought Lululemon pants at Lululemon? Clearly they didn’t want to help so I left embarrassed for even asking. A couple days later I went by the south end location and within 3 minutes they ordered me my new pair, no problem at all. Disappointed but super thankful the south end location took care of me.

      This is a review specifically for your employee at the fitting rooms, Miss Sydney. My birthday was a couple of days ago and I wanted to take myself shopping so my first stop was at Lululemon. I normally am hesitant about coming to this location because the customer service has lacked here in the past, especially when it comes to attentiveness. However, yesterday, I was completely blown away by Sydney’s efforts to help me find things that I felt good in. Sydney was very sweet and always willing to help me find different sizes. I love when employees can joke around with me because I am talkative and Sydney did just that. Sydney should be celebrated. Thank you!

      Wonderful staff and great selection of men and women’s clothing. Their men’s workwear is literally the most comfortable option for business and business casual attire.

      Men’s undies, boxers, slacks, pants, undershirts, dress shirts, and outerwear is all fantastic quality. The staff is helpful, polite, and professional. It’s worth every penny.       I came to return the shoes I got 3 weeks ago, never worn as they were super uncomfortable. Manager refused to accept them as 1.she insisted I wore them outside, which you can easily tell is not true by looking at hills and 2.were not able to find them by receipt and said that I got them somewhere else while everything was purchased in a same store. great service! never coming back.

      The place is not in order, lots of stuff just lying around in the floor and got mixed up in places. The quality of the goods is questionable.

      The place is not comfortable for shopping at all. There is no comfortable place to sit down, just one chair. There is not much staff to help around.

      I purchased a large utility shelf for storage in my storage unit in. This was a large item and required assistance when purchased and pretty heavy. Today when I took everything out the box to prepare for assembly I quickly realized the shelf was missing 4 important pieces that were necessary to properly set up. I placed a call immediately to this Target. I spoke with Evelyn who stated I would need to bring the item back for a refund. I explained to her that wasn’t possible because of the bulk of the shelf. Here are pictures for reference. I explained to her she continued to state, “that is the only way”. Now, why and how would I do all of that when the company sold a defective item that is missing parts. Not helpful at all.

      Store is a chaotic mess. It’s hard to find anything because the signs don’t match the items on the rows because store appears to be undergoing renovations. The staff is zero help. They nearly run you over and look at you crazy as if you’re in their way and causing them the inconvenience when they’re stocking shelves. They won’t move out of the way so that customers can shop. A black female stocking on the water isle gave me the nastiest stare because I was shopping and she was trying to stock instead of her being patient and waiting on me to grab what I was shopping for. Pharmacy staff is disgustingly rude. I waited several minutes to be seen and told that I couldn’t wait on my prescription but would have to drop it off because they were heading to lunch. Then, I advised the black young lady that was assisting me that the doctor at the minute clinic advised me that if I show my insurance card that I could receive free at home Covid testing kits. She tells me “That will still take about 30 minutes because we’re behind.” How long does it take to grab a couple of testing kits!? I declined to wait. Get to the self check out line and several items were ringing up incorrectly. The white female attendant tells me that gum that showed in more than one area a visible price of $1.19 she tells me the sign is wrong and price should be the $2.99 that it’s ringing up as. I said no, you have to honor the price and change your signs. She told me she had been having that issue all day so why not change the signs. Then I had some medicine that was showing as one dollar more than the sign. She tells me “Well it’s ringing up at $11.29.” I said well the sign said a different price go check it for yourself. She tells me “I cannot leave from up here.” I said I want to see a manager. The manager politely came over and told her to change the problem without any issues. I spent way too much money in Target in general and used to frequent this location before moving away from this side of town. I will not be back. Target has fallen off and has not been providing the exemplary service that I have grown accustomed to. The quality and quantity is a disgrace. The staff and lack of customer service is a disgrace. If I wanted to be treated in such a manner, I’ll go shop at Walmart and save some coins.

      The renovations happening at this Target are making it almost unbearable to shop at. This is a Super Target and yet, most of the time I go they do not have in stock basic everyday items and many of the signs and prices are placed in the wrong order so you pick up something thinking it’s one price, only to get to the checkout to see another price. The lack of inventory has gotten to the point where I have to do a lot of my shopping at many different stores including other Targets in the area like Midtown or University. This Target used to be convenient for me but I am considering no longer shopping there until the renovations are completed. Also, the workers stocking the store (especially early in the morning) can be very rude when you need something in an aisle their stocking as if you are inconveniencing them by daring to shop while they are stocking. I know retail workers aren’t paid much, but this has happened so often at this Target and it is frustrating, especially considering how limited the inventory is and how little space there is to move around in.

      Huge disappointment. Try another location or another store entirely. The pick mobile service is unorganized and scattered at best. They come ask for the code – then pretend that you actually picked up while you wait .. and wait. Then when they come out they try and check others in with their pickup code (again to make it appear you have picked up your items) and left a happy customer. Wait – Wait for your order before giving the code. Keep them honest. This is THE only location that has this tricky practice.

      Choose a different target when placing online orders. “Drive up” is always closed and they say they are short staffed all the time. I’ve been sitting out in my car waiting over 3 hours to get a notification that my online order is ready, however I’ve seen numerous other people get their orders. I called numerous times and the line just hangs up. They tell me I can shop for the items and it takes 24-48 hours to return my money for the online order which I’m not about to do since I just spent over $150 online. They are about to close in a hour and still they do not have my order ready…. The one in concord had my order ready within a hour… The whole point of online drive up orders is not having to get out the car. They should have updated their drive up status before I placed an order…

      This is one of the largest targets I’ve ever been to! Yet staff always has it pretty organized, and I’ve never waited more that 2-3 min to check out. Just so you know before you go, you do have to enter through the top floor of the parking garage. But there is always parking and an elevator! Typical big city shopping experience.

      Target is my go-to department store. It tends to carry higher quality products than its major competitor and their prices are still reasonable. Their stores are usually clean and fairly well organized. The men’s clothing department tends to be a bit disheveled when I visit, which makes it a bit difficult to see what’s available or find the size you’re looking for. With that said, I was happy during my last visit to see an employee working in that department and it looked the best I had seen it in a while.

      This store is the absolute worst store I’ve ever visited. staff are useless. Be ready to wait for an hour for an incompetent staff to finally deliver your items. And the drive up delivery isn’t first come first serve. They usually bring orders for the customers they like more probably going by their name i guess

      Great selection and store is neat. However the staff unfortunately make me dislike shopping here. I will say the one time I came in the morning everyone was great. I usually shop at night, and it really is like the staff is intentionally are rude.

      I understand working in retail is exhausting, I used to work at a grocery store. Each time I go to the register I greet the cashier and usually get nothing back. Tonight I got these baskets that I thought were combined. She scanned it twice and I asked her, “Oh I thought those were together?” She said “I’m sure you did” and put the item in the bag without looking up.

      Found the products I was looking for.

      New review – Last week, 08/18, I visited to return the self-propelled lawn mower and get a riding lawn mower. Unfortunately, they said at the return counter that I could not avail the 20% off, which I got on the self-propelled. It was just an exchange of products, infact I planned to spend $2000 more. As the discount was not given, I left the store and went to their competitor’s store and bought a riding lawn mower.

      I was in the store the other evening, and I was assisted by a wonderful man name Dale.

      I needed assistance with some buckets, and Dale asked if he could help before I could even get the words out.

      He didn’t just tell me the aisle # the product was located at. He took me there, unfortunately only the smaller buckets were available. At least this is what I thought.

      Dale, then pulled out his device and searched to see if the large ones were in the store. And they were! However they were out of reach (on the upper shelves) where he nor myself could reach them.

      This amazing gentleman got the huge ladder needed and climbed up to get me the items.

      Dale gave me a great experience, he went above and beyond to make me a happy customer. I said THANK YOU, but I wanted to say it again!

      It really makes a difference when you have someone who cares, and this is definitely what Dale displayed.

      My husband and I were looking for a sectional sofa with left facing chaise. David Milligan was very helpful directing us to them in the store and allowing us to look around until we made our decision. He was very nice and professional. Also found a recliner for us that would compliment the sofa. Next came the paperwork and David was able to give us a 20% discount that day and said we qualified for 48 months interest free financing. Who wouldn’t love that?! We were promised delivery the next Saturday. I appreciate the great job David did.

      Today is Saturday, delivery day and everything was on time and in perfect condition. The men were quick and efficient and cleaned up all the packing material and took it with them. I highly recommend Value City Furniture for the affordability but also for the many furniture choices. Love our choices and how comfortable it is!

      Kelly was awesome. If you are looking to purchase new home decor, value city is a great place to start. And they always have bargains going on. I got a 4 piece set on sale for $1500 after tax.

      Incredible service with Floyd at Rooms To Go today. He was very patient, genuine, and knowledgeable. I’ve had there furniture in past and it was best quality so went back for new mattress, sleeper sofa, and swivel chair. Very pleased with purchases, service, and price ranges.       I cannot say enough about my recent POSITIVE experience at this store! My daughter and I drove from South Carolina to see what the store had to offer. We purchased some living room furniture, but unfortunately, the delivery date was far past when we needed the furniture. Even though the store policy clearly states NO RETURNS, the manager worked with us and allowed us to cancel our order. We are SO grateful to the staff. They are good people, and put our family first. THANK YOU!!

      Just discovered this place and it is so cute! Was greeted as soon as we entered and was pleasantly surprised at how big the place was. Bought several pieces of Jadeite and a pretty piece of Wedgewood from a sweet and knowledgeable woman in the back (booth 88, sorry didn’t catch her name). Will definitely be returning.

      This little gem is awesome. Everything is organized by vendor. The owner supports not only local business but people with disabilities trying to make some money. I was present during a transaction between vendor and owner and was impressed. Prices from vendors are based on them, not the owner. So if you don’t like the price and vendor isn’t willing to adjust just move along.

      This place is also larger than it seems from the front. There is an area in back where you walk through a doorway and there is even more stuff. If you have small children there is glass and other items throughout. You can fit a stroller or similar in and it would be wise to contain any children who are adventurous or like to grab items (don’t know better). I brought my 8yo (has autism) and did have to watch closely. My 20yo has autism as well, but he is calmer and enjoyed browsing the store. Both enjoy antique shopping and finding unique/obscure items. The record and comic selections were impressive.

      Store is NOT opened Monday and Tuesday but the rest of the week. I really enjoy this store. Owner is very welcoming and has a lovely small dog who greets you at door. The first section of building has pictures of people sitting with dog. Just a friendly environment. Plenty of nicknacks for everyone.

From the fantastic and eclectic selection to the kindness and helpfulness of the owners, it’s a place that truly puts the “local” in support local businesses. This is our go-to spot for antiques and we make sure to tell everyone we know that BG should be their first stop when antiquing in Matthews and the Greater Charlotte area.

      Such a great store and truly a family run business. Extraordinary arrowheads at great prices considering these arrowheads are soon to be all found and there will be no more for people to find for free! So $20 for an arrowhead i think is very cheap! They had silver jewlery that was very cheaply priced!

      I travel up and down 95 from NY to FL many times a year and always take the opportunity to visit antique and vintage shops. I also love American/Native Indian jewelry, and Garretts has an amazing collection. This along with the charm and absolute coolness of this shop is a must stop at location. Love this shop!!!
