Pros and Cons of Shopping at Woolworth

Woolworths and traditional markets both offer different shopping experiences that cater to different needs and preferences. Here are some pros and cons to consider when choosing between the two:

    Woolworth:

    • Pros:
    • – Convenience: Woolworths stores are typically located in easily accessible areas, making it convenient for shoppers to visit.
    • – Wide variety: Woolworths offers a wide range of products, including groceries, clothing, household items, and electronics, providing shoppers with one-stop shopping convenience.
    • – Quality assurance: Woolworths often offers branded products, ensuring a certain level of quality for shoppers.
    • – Online shopping: Woolworths also provides the option for shoppers to purchase items online and have them delivered to their doorstep, saving time and effort.
    • Cons:
    • – Higher prices: Compared to traditional markets, Woolworths products are generally priced higher due to factors such as branding and convenience.
    • – Limited bargaining: Shoppers may not have the opportunity to negotiate prices or bargain with sellers as they would in traditional markets.
    • – Less personal interaction: The shopping experience at Woolworths may lack the personal interaction and connection that can be found in traditional markets.

    Traditional market:

    • Pros:
    • – Lower prices: Traditional markets often offer products at lower prices compared to Woolworth, as they usually source directly from producers or wholesalers.
    • – Bargaining opportunities: Shoppers can negotiate prices or bargain with sellers, potentially obtaining better deals.
    • – Fresh and local products: Traditional markets are known for offering a variety of fresh and locally sourced products, allowing shoppers to support local businesses and enjoy a unique shopping experience.
    • – Personal interaction: Shoppers can directly communicate with sellers, forming connections and gaining insights about the products they are purchasing.
    • Cons:
    • – Limited variety: Traditional markets may have a limited range of products compared to larger stores like Woolworth.
    • – Inconvenience: Traditional markets are often located in specific areas, requiring shoppers to travel to reach them.
    • – Time-consuming: Shopping at traditional markets can be more time-consuming due to the need to visit multiple stalls or vendors to find everything on your shopping list.

Ultimately, the choice between Woolworths and traditional markets depends on personal preferences, budget, and shopping needs. While Woolworths offers convenience, a wide variety, and quality assurance, traditional markets provide lower prices, bargaining opportunities, fresh and local products, and personal interaction.

Click and collect area and service needs attention. First time using this service at Waurn Ponds as I usually use Armstrong Creek. No signage directing you to Click and Collect Bay, only telltale sign I’d found the right parking spots were some patches of well-worn green paint. At Armstrong Creek they have a well-lit and signed undercover area that can easily be found because it’s bright green and you can’t miss it but also because they have lots of signage and painted green lines to follow when you first enter car park. I used app to let staff know I had arrived, waited 10minutes but no one showed up and I had to leave in a hurry to get to work. I tried to call them several times over the next few days but no one ever answered so I went back into the store to speak to staff. Order had been put back on the shelf as per their policy due to use-bys etc which I understand but am now out of pocket and waiting for a refund so I can re-buy my groceries. But I think I will stick with Armstrong Creek from now on…

This is the second time I bought molded food from this store. First time was garlic bread and today it was Italian cheese. Looks something wrong with their storage or fridges. Both times the products not even close to their expiry date.

Took my 80yo client to her local Woolworths in Highton. As she has a broken arm and cant hold a basket of heavy items and needs support we got a small trolley. After shopping for a few items we pushed small trolley into 15 items or less and stood waiting to be served. An older lady called Dianne (we found out later) told us in no uncertain terms that no trolleys are allowed in that area as it blocks it up. We looked at each other in shock as we weren’t blocking anyone as we were at the 3rd register so we werent blocking anyone. We thought how rude she spoke to us and there’s no sign to say no trolleys so how are we supposed to know. We hadn’t been there before so we were just trying to pay for the shopping in a timely manner because my client suffers from pain. So off we went and waited behind a lady with a huge trolley of goods further down. Which wasn’t ideal!
The next week the same lady who we identified by her name badge this week as Dianne approached us very rudely as we were near but not going towards the 15 items or less saying you can’t come through her register with a trolley. My poor 80yo client with a broken arm in plaster being abused by Dianne 2 weeks in a row is not on. I’ll be emailing head office about Diannes treatment of an elderly, disabled customer.

Busy lunchtime period and only one operator on, everyone, mostly elderly, pushed to self service with massive trolleys of goods. It’s 38c out and forcing people to put through big trolleys of groceries is not on. Terrible service..

Repeat after me, ‘If we’re going to sell plants we need to water them!’
Seriously though, your yellowing and neglected house plants are not doing you any favours. Not only is it cruel, it brings down the aesthetics of the whole store. How lazy are you guys?

Pros and Cons of Shopping at Coles

When it comes to choosing where to do your grocery shopping, you may be considering the convenience of a supermarket like Coles or opting for a traditional market. Both options have their own advantages and disadvantages, depending on your specific needs and preferences.

Here are some pros and cons of choosing Coles as your shopping destination:

    • Convenience: Coles is a one-stop shop where you can find everything you need in one place. It offers a wide range of products, from fresh produce to household items, making it convenient for shoppers to get all their essentials in a single visit.
    • Price competitiveness: Supermarkets like Coles often run promotions and offer discounted prices, making it more affordable for customers to shop for groceries. Coles also has a loyalty program, providing additional savings and benefits for its customers.
    • Accessibility: Coles stores are present in various locations, including urban and suburban areas, making it easily accessible for most shoppers. They also offer extended operating hours, providing flexibility for customers to shop at their preferred time.
    • Online shopping: Coles provides an online shopping platform, allowing customers to conveniently order their groceries from the comfort of their homes. This can be beneficial for individuals who prefer to avoid crowded spaces or have difficulty physically visiting the store.
    • Product variety: Coles offers a wide range of products, including international and specialty items, giving shoppers a diverse selection to choose from. This can be particularly advantageous for customers seeking specific ingredients or exploring new flavors.

On the other hand, traditional markets also have their own set of advantages and disadvantages:

    • Freshness: Traditional markets often pride themselves on offering fresh and locally sourced produce. Shoppers can find a variety of fruits, vegetables, seafood, and meat that are often sourced directly from farmers or fishermen. This can be particularly appealing for individuals who prioritize high-quality and organic products.
    • Social interaction: Traditional markets provide an opportunity for shoppers to interact with local vendors and build personal connections. It allows customers to ask questions, receive recommendations, and learn more about the origin and production practices of the products they are purchasing.
    • Potential for haggling: In traditional markets, there is often room for negotiation and haggling over prices. Shoppers can try to get a better deal by leveraging their bargaining skills, potentially leading to additional savings.
    • Cultural experience: Traditional markets offer a unique cultural experience, with vibrant displays of local products and flavors. They can provide a sense of authenticity and a glimpse into the local traditions and customs of the community.
    • Availability: Traditional markets may have limitations in terms of product availability, especially when it comes to specialty or international items. They may also have limited operating hours and be located in more specific areas, requiring additional time and effort to access for some customers.

Ultimately, the decision between Coles and traditional markets depends on your personal preferences, priorities, and circumstances. Consider factors such as convenience, price, product variety, freshness, social interaction, and cultural experience to make an informed choice that best suits your needs.

Prior to having Lily take control of my nutrition, I was struggling to hit my weight goals (putting weight on). Since starting with her, I am comfortably putting on weight consistently, eating delicious food that is very easy to prepare and have more variety than ever before.
I have more energy, more strength, better sleep and better moods.
      Ease of preparation- 10/10
      Taste- 10/10

Cannot recommend Lil highly enough for any nutritional support you may need!!

Working with Lil to change my diet was a really encouraging and educational experience. She put the focus on food as fuel and never on restriction. My energy improved by leaps and bounds, as did my performance in the gym and as a bonus I lost a few stubborn kilos.

Best thing Lily did for me was actually teach me about how to fuel myself and eat to be full and it never felt hard to maintain. Once I stopped the meal plans she provided I had the knowledge to maintain the dietary changes and not fall back into old habits.

If you’re looking to make a change, definitely trust Lil to support you through it!!!!

However, you can expect to pay between $50 and $150 per hour for individual counseling. Group counseling is typically less expensive, costing around $30 to $50 per session.

Here are some factors that can affect the cost of dietitian services in Australia:

I would highly recommend Mark to anyone looking on improving their diet. I booked a 1 hr session with him and the things I learned in this session are so valuable to my future health. He was charismatic and it felt very comfortable to chat with him. Mark answered all of my questions in great detail whilst providing examples which I appreciated. This was money well spent without a doubt!
      Thankyou Mark!

I heard Mark speak at Gesac and it really was great and informative! I am a biotechnologist scientist who specialises in nutrition but he added information that was so amazing!
I highly recommend you go see him or check out his website on The Nutritionist Mark!

Not only did Mark help me with the issue challenging me, but I was left with the clear impression that he knew “his stuff” and was also concerned to know relevant things about me – and then apply his knowledge in addressing my problem.

Brilliant Nutritionist with so much experience and knowledge. Very detailed and methodical. Being a Zoom consultation was excellent. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend. Following one session, and five months of practical and easily manageable adjustments in diet, the reason for consulting Mark has been completely resolved.

It is not a die! Working with Iordanis Psomopoulos has been a total education around nutrition, and a serious attempt to eliminate old eating habits. Very happy with my weekly monitored meal plan and steady weight loss.

Me and my husband just started seeing Jordan and so far we are very pleased with our visits ,very helpful ,he works around what do you like to eat ,and the diet plan is very easy to fallow,it’s what we eat every day and can be easily prepared.
Very down to earth and very helpful and always willing to answer your questions .

I highly recommended Jordan! My energy levels were low and I had tried so many other things to feel well, I have been struggling with stomach digestion and thyroid issues for over 3 years before seeing Jordan. Through an initial consultation using a detailed health assessment, a series of regular visits and I saw immediate improvement only a few weeks after our first appointment. He is very professional and has a wealth of knowledge in food and nutrition. Jordan has shown a thorough interest and understanding of my health goals and has supported me to identify practical solutions. He gives advice that suits me personally – not a standard approach and he is able to do this because he has shown a real interest in my needs and lifestyle.

Jordan works very closely with his clients in order to create a diet plan tailored to each person and what they enjoy eating. I highly recommend his methods, they’ve made me look and feel a lot healthier and as someone who is a picky eater and struggles sticking to a diet this has made a big difference to me 🙂
