Lots of great shops that get under-utilised because of paid parking and parking meters. Not far away are centres with free parking and most of the same shops. The centre has free parking on weekends.

Had to wait 30 minutes to be aloud in which was not the time I had booked to watch the movie for. Everyone working there were happy to take their sweet time mucking about. Once we got in the grass was soaking wet, I hadnt booked for a bean bag or alternative seating since I booked tickets before the weather had turned bad the last couple of weeks. No tarp or anything for those being seated on the grass, my picnic rug instantly was soaking wet and muddy. No one bothered to mention the state of the ground or offer us a upgrade.Absolutely pathetic service and management.

Australia, officially the Commonwealth of Australia, is a sovereign country comprising the mainland of the Australian continent, the island of Tasmania, and numerous smaller islands. Australia is the largest country by area in Oceania and the world's sixth-largest country. Australia is the oldest, flattest, and driest inhabited continent, with the least fertile soils. It is a megadiverse country, and its size gives it a wide variety of landscapes and climates, with deserts in the centre, tropical rainforests in the north-east, tropical savannas in the north, and mountain ranges in the south-east.
The ancestors of Aboriginal Australians began arriving from south-east Asia 50,000 to 65,000 years ago, during the last glacial period. Arriving by sea, they settled the continent and had formed approximately 250 distinct language groups by the time of European settlement, maintaining some of the longest known continuing artistic and religious traditions in the world. Australia's written history commenced with the European maritime exploration of Australia. The Dutch navigator Willem Janszoon was the first known European to reach Australia, in 1606. In 1770, the British explorer James Cook mapped and claimed the east coast of Australia for Great Britain, and the First Fleet of British ships arrived at Sydney in 1788 to establish the penal colony of New South Wales. The European population grew in subsequent decades, and by the end of the 1850s gold rush, most of the continent had been explored by European settlers and an additional five self-governing British colonies were established. Democratic parliaments were gradually established through the 19th century, culminating with a vote for the federation of the six colonies and foundation of the Commonwealth of Australia on 1 January 1901. This began a process of increasing autonomy from the United Kingdom, highlighted by the Statute of Westminster Adoption Act 1942, and culminating in the Australia Act 1986.Australia is a federal parliamentary constitutional monarchy comprising six states and ten territories. Australia's population of nearly 27 million is highly urbanised and heavily concentrated on the eastern seaboard. Canberra is the nation's capital, while its most populous cities are Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. It is ethnically diverse and multicultural, the product of large-scale immigration, with almost half of the population having at least one parent born overseas. Australia's abundant natural resources and well-developed international trade relations are crucial to the country's economy, which generates its income from various sources including services, mining exports, banking, manufacturing, agriculture and international education. Australia ranks highly for quality of life, health, education, economic freedom, civil liberties and political rights.Australia has a highly developed market economy and one of the highest per capita incomes globally. Australia is a regional power, and has the world's thirteenth-highest military expenditure. It is a member of international groupings including the United Nations; the G20; the OECD; the World Trade Organization; Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation; the Pacific Islands Forum; the Pacific Community; the Commonwealth of Nations; and the defence/security organisations ANZUS, AUKUS, and the Five Eyes. It is a major non-NATO ally of the United States.

Beautiful place ? you will fall in love with the beautiful scenery around. A well placed lighthouse we stopped there just to take a break and realised this is one of the nice cities in Sydney. I think around 1.5hrs drive from Sydney but well equipped with all the amenities. We were not able to roam around much due to hail storm but would definitely like to go again.

The Flagstaff Point Lighthouse in Wollongong is an absolute gem of a landmark that is not to be missed. Perched atop a rocky outcrop overlooking the stunning Wollongong coastline, this lighthouse is a true masterpiece of engineering and design.

As you make your way up the winding path to the lighthouse, you’ll be struck by the beauty and tranquility of the surrounding landscape. The crystal-clear waters of the Pacific Ocean stretch out before you, while the sound of waves crashing against the rocks below creates a soothing and calming atmosphere.

Once you reach the top, the views are simply breathtaking. The panoramic vistas of the ocean, the city, and the surrounding hills and cliffs are simply stunning. You’ll feel like you’re on top of the world, taking in the natural beauty of Wollongong from a bird’s-eye view.

The lighthouse itself is a marvel of engineering and design. Built in the late 1800s, it is a testament to the skill and craftsmanship of the engineers and workers who built it. The lighthouse’s bright white exterior and red roof stand out against the blue sky and sea, making it a striking and unforgettable sight.

Whether you’re a history buff, a nature lover, or simply looking for a peaceful and serene place to relax and unwind, the Flagstaff Point Lighthouse is an absolute must-visit. It’s a true gem of Wollongong that will leave you feeling inspired and rejuvenated.

The gallery is artist run, and the direction is enthusiastic and energetic. The exhibitions change frequently (2/month) so it’s worth coming back often. There are also drawing classes and parties.

So much to see here. Fascinating range of 2 and 4 wheeled vehicles and other goodies. Knowledgeable and friendly staff to greet and assist you. I was surprised at just how vast the display was. It’s huge and you will want to spend at least 2 hours here, and that’s rushing it. Waze directed me to the old location of the museum. I should have just followed the signs. If you are interested in Australian automotive history then you have to see this. Plenty of parking.

Loved it. Large collection of vintage cars, bikes, fire truck and accessories. My kids enjoyed seeing this and really amused. Surprisingly this museum has one car that exists only here and one in the world. The team maintains them like a gem. Great work!! Must visit place when you are heading towards Wollongong.

Definitely a hidden gem. As the name suggests its a museum full of historic cars and trucks. Furthermore, there are so many different historical artifacts on display. Really enjoyed my time walking through and the people on the floor are highly knowledgeable on every piece of history in that place. Not many, but even a couple of trucks and a caravan little kids can climb on and look through

Absolutely loved this museum, one of the best motor experiences I have ever had. There are so many amazing pieces of history in here that included more than just cars! There were old tools, record players, irons, taxi meters, typewriters, telephones and so much more. If you love antique stores, you’ll love this museum. I highly recommend speaking to Trevor, he was so knowledgeable and made the experience even better. He explained and showed us more background on what was displayed which I would’ve never known had he told us. Thanks for such a memorable experience ❤️
