The city of Sydney, Australia, is home to some of the finest and most famous beaches in the world. There are well over 100 beaches in the city, stretching from Palm Beach in the north to Garie Beach in the south, ranging in size from a few metres to several kilometres, located along the city's Pacific Ocean coastline and its harbours, bays and rivers.
With around 70 surf beaches and dozens of harbour coves, Sydney is almost unrivalled in the world for the number and quality of beaches available. The water and sand among the city beaches, despite their popularity, are remarkably clean. Fabulous family and child friendly beach. Safe swimming with minimal wave action but made up by some fun jumping off the jetty. Perfect for long beach walks and exploring the rocks at low tide especially. Great amenities and playground. Lots of shade on grassed areas too. Dogs on leash are welcomed.

This is an amazing family friendly beach. The waves are minimal, and are kid-friendly. There’s beach sand here. You can build a sandcastle. At the western and eastern ends of the beach is a lot of parkland with tree-shaded areas. There’s several toilet facilities here. Kiosks are located near the beach and across the road. Parking is hard to come by during summer, and the on-street parking is expensive. A lot of people catch the bus to this beach – some people even park their cars blocks away from the beach to take advantage of the free parking, and then catch the bus the few blocks to the beach. This is a great spot to visit. We walk to this beach from Manly and Sydney regular – part of an amazing harbour walking route.

A big yes for an Family Beach Holiday time. Very busy during public holidays for sure but live the energy here. About 2 hours up the coast from Brisbane. Parking is not easy (always) but it helps save much time and effort if you just drive straight to the paid indoor parking for a flat rate of $12.5 then all is good.

Love this beach, it’s got everything – showers, toilets, surf club, undercover eating areas, playground, plenty of parking and it’s close to a tonne of shops.

Best to hit it up early to stake your spot and avoid the crowds.

      Amazing sunrises too.

Beautiful beach. Yes there’s a safe and patrolled swimming area. However, I tend to walk along the beach to where it’s less populated. Lots of space to sit, read a book, watch the surfers, explore the multitude of rock pools that expose themselves at low tide, close my eyes and listen to the ocean. Or grab an ice-cream or take-aways from one of the many restaurants and sit on the beach. Or watch an amazing sunset, moonrise, whatever! Love this beach!

From secluded coves with crystal-clear waters perfect for swimming and snorkeling to long stretches of golden sand ideal for sunbathing and strolling, Darwin’s beaches cater to every taste.

With its tropical climate and year-round warm temperatures, Darwin invites visitors to explore its stunning beaches all year long. Whether you seek thrilling water sports, peaceful relaxation, or the chance to witness breathtaking sunsets over the Arafura Sea, Darwin’s beaches offer an unforgettable experience.

    Top Beach in Darwin, Australia

Darwin ( DAR-win; Larrakia: Garramilla) is the capital city of the Northern Territory, Australia. With a population of 139,902 at the 2021 census, the city contains most of the sparsely populated Northern Territory's residents. It is the smallest, wettest, and most northerly of the Australian capital cities and serves as the Top End's regional centre.
Darwin's proximity to Southeast Asia makes it a key link between Australia and countries such as Indonesia and East Timor. The Stuart Highway begins in Darwin and extends southerly across central Australia through Tennant Creek and Alice Springs, concluding in Port Augusta, South Australia. The city is built upon a low bluff overlooking Darwin Harbour. Darwin's suburbs begin at Lee Point in the north and stretch to Berrimah in the east. The Stuart Highway extends to Darwin's eastern satellite city of Palmerston and its suburbs.
The Darwin region, like much of the Top End, has a tropical climate, with a wet and dry season. A period known locally as "the build up" leading up to Darwin's wet season sees temperature and humidity increase. Darwin's wet season typically arrives in late November to early December and brings with it heavy monsoonal downpours, spectacular lightning displays, and increased cyclone activity. During the dry season, the city has clear skies and mild sea breezes from the harbour.
The Larrakia people are the traditional owners of the Darwin area and Aboriginal people are a significant proportion of the population. On 9 September 1839, HMS Beagle sailed into Darwin Harbour during its survey of the area. John Clements Wickham named the region "Port Darwin" in honour of their former shipmate Charles Darwin, who had sailed with them on the ship's previous voyage. The settlement there became the town of Palmerston in 1869, but was renamed Darwin in 1911. The city has been almost entirely rebuilt four times, following devastation caused by a cyclone in 1897, another one in 1937, Japanese air raids during World War II, and Cyclone Tracy in 1974.

We can visit if you guys take the train from central station, it takes an hour and half. It’s overwhelming and nice to chill out. There are big shopping mall and plenty of good quality restaurants as well. It’s a shame that I arrived at there quite late, I couldn’t feel the vibe enough. I’m gonna surely visit again.

This park is a staple and cultural part of a lismorian child as many memories are made here. The park is overly clean as well as the equipment/ playground. The train is a must when coming here as it is fun and pretty cool. Great seating as it is under cover so you can escape the sun or if it is raining

Awesome playground, picnic area, and adventure park for kids and adults! I’d say kids up to 10, not older kids. Play equipment is awesome. The water section is like a kid-magnet. The picnic facilities are top-notch. The train ride is a huge favourite and the cost is very reasonable, even with a big group of kids. Highly recommend this place for kids’ birthdays, a day out, or just a quick break on your road trip!

Great park for toddlers and primary aged. Loads of different play equipment. Fenced except for entrance and mini railway crossing. Lots of seating and picnic tables. Shady. Skate park across the road. Toilets, BBQs, water fountain. Wheelchair and pram access including play equipment for those in a wheelchair. Some paths suitable for prams/wheelchairs. My favourite is the snakes and ladders made of tiles.

The team we dealt with at Coveyancing Canberra (Anne, A J and Stacey) were a pleasure to work with. They provided a very efficient and effective conveyancing process, keeping us well informed along the way as needed (we live in Victoria) – and all in a very courteous and timely manner. I highly recommend the Conveyancing Canberra team to anyone needing conveyancing services in the ACT.

I worked with Abdullah and Stacey on my sale and they were both attentive and gave me everything I needed to feel confident in the process. Everything happened seamlessly and I barely had to lift a finger. I am in another state so everything was done by email which was excellent for my busy life. True professionals. I highly recommend them.

Lee Lawyers are our “go to” for legal support. They are efficient, practical and sensible in their approach, which is very refreshing. We have had 100% success with everything they have done for us, so will continue to use them, whenever we need. Carmen is fantastic and so is Ross. What a team! Thanks guys for all your help and support. Kelly Cunningham, Your Leasing Co.

I have recently used Lee lawyers for the purchase of a business and they were amazing!! We had a few issues that arose but it wasn’t a problem for them. Carmen and the team were extremely helpful and really easy to deal with. I would have no issue recommending them and using their services for any other reason in the future.

My husband and I recently bought a business and we had Carmen acting as our lawyer for all the loan, lease and financial documentation. She went above and beyond and no question went unanswered. She kept us up to date with the other parties with the sale and always pushed for the outcome we desired. Wouldn’t use anyone else, definitely use her again in the future.
