For clarity: I paid for a consent order, which was drafted by Genuine Legal (required a bit of back and forth from my end to clarify figures), they sent this the other party, the other party declined, and then Genuine Legal did 2-3 further emails with the other party, before stating they could not provide further assistance as this was outside of my contract which did not involve &#8220;significant negotiation&#8221; &#8211; and if I wanted further advice or assistance, I needed to pay\/sign a further contract. I ended up ceasing my contract with them.\n&#8211; To clarify the contract (I was asking them what significant negotiation counted as and why the remaining money was not returnable) only to receive no answers. The only answers I got were when I asked what my next legal steps\/options were now that they other party had changed their mind.\n&#8211; To get an hour initial free consult (yes, this was helpful)\n&#8211; To be forwarded sensitive emails at MIDNIGHT, with no explanation\/accompanying text or follow up about them. Not only is this distressing during a difficult time, it is also unprofessional.\n&#8211; To have simplified chat process via their online chat application (would not recommend if you want phone conversations with your lawyer)\n&#8211; To ask for their complaints policy (I asked for this after ceasing the contract), and are directed to a national board AKA they do not offer any internal complaint resolution, or even attempt to listen your concerns\n&#8211; To not be told by your lawyer that they are going away, and to be liaising with another Genuine Legal staff member, and then your lawyer randomly replies to message you had addressed to the other Genuine Legal staff member\n&#8211; For your lawyer to make mistakes in the drafting paperwork, and need to be reminded twice to correct mistakes about dollar figures, however, when you want to make changes (and state you are willing to be charged for this) to be reminded this will cost extra and its timely work for them\n&#8211; To feel as if your matter should be straightforward with no complications (what legal matter is?), and that you should understand the legal process and not ask questions so they can get on with the paperwork<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"list-business-reviews-item\">\n<div class=\"list-business-reviews-info\">\n<div class=\"list-business-reviews-author\">Benny leong<span class=\"list-business-reviews-rating\">&#10029;&#10029;&#10029;&#10029;&#10029;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"list-business-reviews-date\">4 months ago<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"list-business-reviews-text\">I have been using Genuine legal throughout the course of my divorce proceedings of 2 years. Andrea and David are very professional solicitors.<\/p>\n<p>They will help and advise you throughout the complex legal process of family law very thoroughly and will help guide you through each step of the process.
