Calm water, perfect for kids. Went there around 10am with my wife and baby.  Parking was easy that time ..there was still a number of parking available by the time we left. Safe swimming with minimal wave action but made up by some fun jumping off the jetty. Perfect for long beach walks and exploring the rocks at low tide especially. Great amenities and playground. Lots of shade on grassed areas too. A few restaurants u can enjoy lunch or dinner. The waves are minimal, and are kid-friendly. There\u2019s beach sand here. You can build a sandcastle. At the western and eastern ends of the beach is a lot of parkland with tree-shaded areas. There\u2019s several toilet facilities here. Kiosks are located near the beach and across the road. Parking is hard to come by during summer, and the on-street parking is expensive. A lot of people catch the bus to this beach &#8211; some people even park their cars blocks away from the beach to take advantage of the free parking, and then catch the bus the few blocks to the beach. This is a great spot to visit.
