The Korora basin is drained by creeks that flow into Pine Brush Creek and enter the sea at Hills Beach. \nThe name Korora stems from an Aboriginal word \u2018Kurrawa\u2019 which has been variously interpreted to mean \u201crough sea or seas\u201d, \u201csound of the waves\u201d or \u201croar of the seas\u201d.
