Easy 1.5h drive up from Noumea in the morning. Head to Pont Perignon and rent a bike from there, and go up the gorgeous 12km trails to see rivers, forests, and delightful cagus! Options for e-bikes and shuttles too. The forest is amazing. We biked and kayaked in the worst weather imaginable and still had an outstanding day. We saw 4 cagou which was extra special.
