Not sure why there wasn&#8217;t a path straight away then saw a sign for conservation area. There are some steps and slopes but they&#8217;re all paved so easy to walk. Boasting beaches, boardwalks and birdlife, it\u2019s known as one of the most beautiful central coast walks. This relatively easy hike is characterised by sweeping views, shady rainforest and inviting picnic spots.\nThere\u2019s a photo opportunity around every corner on Bouddi coastal walk. You might see wildflowers or migrating whales from\u00a0Gerrin Point lookout, along with the Bouddi National Park Marine Extension and the\u00a0PS Maitland\u00a0shipwreck at the eastern end of Maitland Bay. Stay overnight before you set off at\u00a0Putty Beach campground\u00a0or stop along the way at\u00a0Little Beach campground.\nPrefer a shorter walk? It&#8217;s easy to adapt to your energy levels as you can just turn back earlier e.g. we went to just after Maitland Bay to make it a quicker 1.5 hour walk vs doing the full 3.5-4 hours. Parts of the walk is shaded, parts are boarded pavements next to the coastline and other parts is full of stairs so it keeps the walk interesting.<\/p>\n<p>What&#8217;s unique about the walk &#8211; the rock formations and green winding trees.<\/p>\n<p>Paid parking ($8), picnic tables and bathrooms are at the start of the walk. Was about 17km in total. The entire walk was paved or had a clear pathway, fairly well maintained. There were lots of steps so expect to work up a sweat.
