3 weeks agoMum saw Dr. Singh today and he was very patient, kind and thorough. He diagnosed her quickly and accurately and we can always really on his opinion. I have been a patient for years, and can’t recommend Evan’s street enough.a week agoMy partner went into Evans street clinic tonight and spoke to reception to see if he could get a script printed for me as I have been bed ridden for the last 2 weeks with broken ribs and in need of painkillers to get through the night and was under the impression my dr had given me a repeat due to the pain I was in when I had my last appointment. Instead of reception assisting my partner and perhaps seeking another professional opinion he was met with resistance from reception and an unwillingness to help in light of my situation. What happened to willingness to be kind these days and go above and beyond for service!!!3 months agoGreat experience today. The receptionist Kathy was just so compassionate, caring and lovely to deal with. Dr Ramesh was extremely thorough and gentle with my two young boys. Very grateful to have found a great GP clinic.a month agoReceptionist was friendly and notified Doctor of my appointment. After a short wait, the doctor called for me where he attended to my reports and adjusted my medications in accordance with my test results and sent me on my way, Very happy. Regards RayParry.2 months agoI waited for one and half hours to see a doctor when I visited for the first time and I thought maybe it was a very busy day. Second time I waited for 2 hours to see a doctor. Now I think this is kind of normal for this clinic so please aware when you are there for your appointment you are expected to wait for your doctor at least one hour.

Planning to Visit an Australian General Practitioner? Here’s What You Should Consider!

When visiting a general practitioner (GP) in Australia, there are several things to consider to ensure a productive and efficient appointment. GPs play a crucial role in the country’s healthcare system, providing primary care and overseeing a patient’s overall health and wellbeing.
Here are some important factors to keep in mind:
- Appointments: In Australia, it is common to make appointments to see a GP, rather than walk-in consultations. It is advisable to call ahead and book an appointment, especially for non-emergency or routine visits.
- Medical history: Before your appointment, gather and organize any relevant medical documents and information, including previous prescriptions, test results, hospital discharge summaries, and a list of current medications or allergies. This will help the GP get a clearer understanding of your health status and make appropriate recommendations.
- Healthcare card: If you have a healthcare card, such as a Medicare card, Pensioner Concession Card, or Veteran Affairs card, remember to bring it along. These cards may entitle you to subsidized or free medical care.
- Interpreter services: If English is not your first language or you are more comfortable speaking in a different language, you can request interpreter services. The GP may be able to arrange an interpreter over the phone or in-person to assist with communication during the appointment.
- Timing: Arriving early to your appointment can allow you to complete any necessary paperwork or registration processes. This will also give you time to relax and collect your thoughts before meeting with the GP.
- Preparation: Take some time before your appointment to think about your symptoms, concerns, and any questions you may have. Write them down, so you don’t forget to discuss them during the consultation. Being prepared will ensure that you make the most of your time with the GP and address your healthcare needs fully.
- Comprehensive communication: During your appointment, be open and transparent with your GP. Clearly explain your symptoms, medical history, and any lifestyle factors that may impact your health. This will help the GP make an accurate diagnosis and develop an appropriate treatment plan.
- Follow-up: After your appointment, make sure to follow the GP’s instructions regarding medications, referrals to specialists, or additional tests. If you have any concerns or questions following the consultation, do not hesitate to contact the GP’s office for clarification.
