This is a great fast food and drink place within the bigger shopping and residential complex. There is parking underneath and a few other shops around. The hot donuts are cooked while you wait and there are other donut-based goodies available too.

Unfriendly staff, handing over improper container for drinks, it is a takeaway and I paid for a plastic bag to ensure my drink is safe and not leaking. I ask staff to put cling wrap, she did but obviously lid is not properly closed and as she can see, drink is already leaking, i asked for another lid and another staff told me that another lid wont work because of the cling wrap.. and i think that should be my problem to resolved? The other staff was able to fix it for me by providing another type of lid and cover to make sure my order is sealed and not leaking..

Never in my entire life have I been spoken to so condescendingly at a food establishment. When it came my turn to order, I said to the woman with short purple hair that I’d like a box of 6 donuts, with all 6 being the cinnamon scrolls that had the heavy white icing on top. There were two types of cinnamon scrolls, one with a thin layer of icing, and one with a heavy layer of white icing on top. I wanted all 6 with the heavy white icing. Couldn’t have been more clear in what I was ordering, so I found the conversation that ensued to be quite baffling. This woman then proceeded to very condescendingly ask me if I wanted an “iced box” or “the other one”. I replied with the fact that only half of the same donut type (cinnamon) scroll appeared to be “iced”, and repeated that I’d like 6 with the heavy white icing. The woman paused and repeated herself, speaking to me very slowly as if I was a young child who did not understand. The man standing next to me laughed and jokingly said “just get half of each then”. I once again repeated to the woman that I wanted 6 cinnamon scrolls with the heavy icing on top, which she then proceeded to put in the box and charge me. I was told the total was $26. Upon walking away I realised I hadn’t been offered a receipt and my gut instinct told me to check my bank account to see the amount charged. Sure enough, I was overcharged by $3. Of course! I see now why I wasn’t offered a receipt. I went straight back an pointed out that I was charged $29 and showed the amount charged to my bank from my phone. The woman froze like a deer in headlights for a good while before going to get my $3, which she then released from her hand too early when giving it to me, causing one of the coins to drop to the ground. The only thing I did not understand during that interaction was why any sort of clarification was needed after I very clearly stated exactly what I intended to purchase. It truly felt as though this woman just wanted to patronise me. One of the younger ladies working there also smirked the entire time I was being treated this way. Be sure to check what you are actually being charged. Don’t just trust the amount they say. Never again!

The old women behind the counter is horrible. Learn to talk to customer’s!! I know it’s only a donut shop but at least don’t be rude. All I wanted was a milkshake ?.

Beware of the Dragon lady!! Don’t dare sit in their table without a donut in your hand. Had a rather interesting interaction with who i assume unfortunately is the owner (dragon lady). Normally my daughter and myself regularly go down to midland to grab a sushi bite followed by a donut from donut king. Today was no different except for the barrage of verbal assault from this lady in-front of everyone because we were eating sushi at one of ‘her’ tables. I turned and said to her we are actually about to buy a donut and her reaction was so rude i decided i better not get one now. Well done dragon lady, you just showed everyone there how to lose a regular customer who had been going there for years. Stay away from the dragon lady or she may just breath fire on you too and don’t dare sit at ‘her’ table or you might cop the same abuse me and my 11 year old child got. Proceed with caution. 1 star.

Can’t complain for no service. Waited over half and hour for a toasted ham and cheese sandwich and a milkshake. When I finally got up to see where the order was, they told me that they had run out of bread. As I have hospitality background myself, I wonder why wasn’t the stock checked for the day on opening? Better yet was wasn’t I informed when I placed the order. Why when it was discovered – my daughter who the order was for wasn’t informed? I haven’t been her for over a year due to rudeness of the staff, thought different staff – maybe it’d be better. Well so wrong there, no wonder tables are always empty. I do not recommend this place for anything, as all aspects of the service and keeping of service has nothing good about it.

I stopped by to grab some dinner before heading out of Auckland. The place was empty but there were quite a few takeaway orders going on. I grabbed a power burrito with cauliflower with everthing. The sauces they had were slightly different. The burrito was ok in size and was more filling than it looked. They have a nacho burrito which looks interesting.

The staff were very friendly, but unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to standard. It felt like the ingredients were of lower quality and the dishes lacked the taste of Mexican cuisine. Their slogan, “Mexican restaurant, serving Mexican food differently,” seems quite accurate.

Got two burritos for $20 through an Uber Eats deal. Portions are so small they’re laughable. Burrito had so much empty space in it. There was a smudge of chicken. Fortunately didn’t ask for double meat, otherwise would have been more of a rip off. You would be insane to pay $20 for one burrito of that size. 2 stars not 1 because at least the salad seemed fresh. First and last time customer. If you want a good burrito, get Taco Loco.

Have gotten takeaway from here a few times recently. Though this is probably not traditional Mexican food, they put their own twist on it, which is quite nice. The menu is varied with lots of options and the prices are reasonable. Staff have been friendly every visit. Will definitely return.

Went there for lunch today, there were 2 employees working the line with another two (presumably the managers) sitting out the back not working. This was during the lunch rush, and I estimated roughly a 20 minute wait to get served, with there being a queue out the door pretty much the entire time we were there. On top of this there was an issue with an uber eats order which took the more efficient of the two employees on the line out of the line with a large queue. Pretty substandard management from the employees out the back and an absolute lack of support during the busiest period of the day. Pretty deplorable from all concerned.

You’ll likely be served by underpaid children. Simple orders will prove challenging and a queue any longer than 2 customers will ensure you spend your whole lunch break waiting to be served.

I’ve been a regular customer, going multiple times a week for the past few months. On my last 2 visits, the same person served me. The first time she gave me half a teaspoon of sour cream so I asked for more. She proceeded to give me another quarter of a teaspoon. The sour cream was hardly visible and I couldn’t taste any. She then proceeded to charge an extra 50c. The next visit she gave me another slither of sour cream and I didn’t ask for any extra. It was the worst burrito I’ve had. She is the only person who gives so little sour cream and has been the only one to charge extra for a slither of sour cream. Next time I go I will be asking for someone else to serve me.

Edit: The sour cream is the best part and makes the burrito so tasty.

Pathetic service. 2 nights in a row they did not send the Uber order correctly with missing items. The response on the phone was even more pathetic. ‘Well there is nothing I can do over the phone now’ etc – how about doing your bloody job you pathetic morons. To the franchisee, check on your night crew. You will lose business. They are pathetic and seemingly beyond the point of training helping as corrective action. I await my refund via Uber. It better come through. Will stick to Norwood.

Nice place for lunch, serving staff was patient in making the food given the place was busy.

Really enjoyed their burrito and tacos. Salad Ingredients were fresh, sour cream and guacamole was tasty.

Well it’s exactly 2:40pm on 17/2/24 when I entered this paticular store first thing we get is are you here for Uber? Seriously just because I am a brown skin ? Right after me 2:43pm there was white lady with a helmet came in and she was not asked if she is from but guess what yes she is from Uber.

This is so unfair and humiliating infront everyone in the store. And guy with long hair not using head gear such unhygienic way to serve .

If you are Indian or any brown skin you may have to face same situation .

And by the way I got two veg bowls and they are not fully filled !! Obviously we don’t care about that even after we paid 13.90 for one bowl . We just expect respect next time !!
